Hi all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I realize I have been MIA for a few days. Time flies when you are having fun, or just plain busy. It is now a quiet Saturday morning. Mitchell is at driver's ed class, hubby is at softball practice and Dylan is at temple. I get to be a bum. Not really. Went to the store today and stocked up the freezer. Tomorrow night starts the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashannah, and again I am cooking. Both sets of parents are coming Sunday night and a two friends Monday night. No school on Monday. Have to make my chicken soup soon. It is not a (Jewish) holiday dinner with chicken soup with matzah balls

Julie, yes, there are time and day restrictions to moving in. Must be weekday, non holiday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Smaller items could be moved in weekends, but no propping open of doors, no lock out of elevator for our use only.

best post this comment before I turn the page. More later.

CONGRATULATIONS on finishing the new floor, Gail!!! Are you happy with the coffee color? Actually, any color called coffee has got to be lovely, but did they mean black coffee or coffee with cream?

youkidme has been asking me a LOT of questions about my Gypsy Vanners, so to sort of ''fill in the blanks'', I posted a picture of Touch Of Class on my page. He's the stallion that Serenade has been bred to, and he's also the sire of Whimsey.

Heidi, is PJ booked in for any special visits yet or are you letting him settle in for a while first?

Gail, great news that your floor is FINSIHED! The photos look great! That sounds like a lovely day with Rolanda and fam.

I'm letting PJ get over his change of abode and new pasture mates. He and Buddy are not getting along yet. Buddy is a bully to newcomers. Right now PJ is in a paddock with the 2 Gypsy girls, because they're so friendly to everybody.

I can't wait till we get the furniture back in so we can start to feel a bit normal, but we.are getting there bit by bit. As everything comes back in, it gets a good clean over and felt pads for its feet...no scratching this floor!
Heidi, I would call it a strong latte :)
Hubby and I are going out to get some new slippers, the floor is not freezing, but it would be nice to have some soft slippers. Rugs are also on the shopping list. When I get home, I will go over ot with our new vacuum and flick the mop over it and take photos to put up on here. At the moment all our computers are still packed away, and everything is a little hard to do on a phone or iPad! Sorry about the delays.

Tomorrow is going to ne busy. I have to repair a water tank I damaged with the new bush hog so I can move the cows into that pasture so we can work them on Monday (IH needs to locate a particular worm and collect 10 million worm eggs of that species for a research project), then I have to finish bush hogging so I can take the bush hog off to move another 40 hay rolls off the fields, and put them in the last remaining hay storage area.

Good Evening, Everyone. We have had another long day. It looks like tomorrow and Monday will follow suit.

Gail, your new floor looks fantastic! We also wear slippers or indoor-only shoes, especially in cooler weather!

Happy New Year, Tami! I'm sure everything you cook will be delicious! (It's kind of nice you have at least part of the day to yourself to begin preparations.)

MizT, I hope movers will be available on days that work for moving! Hopefully everything will be as good as you hope and expect - or even better!

Gail and Rolanda, your day sounds lovely!

Heidi, it's a good idea to let P.J. get acclimated before taking him for visits.

Sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , positive thoughts, prayers and healing vibes for everybody. Now I need to get to work on the minutes from the wood turners education committee meeting. I hope to see you all tomorrow!

Hi everyone!
Haven't had much time lately - weekends we're usually looking at houses for one of 2 house-hunters. Yesterday we were down to the 'end' of one search - we were the only people who were in for the final count, unfortunately our offer was not enough ... bye-bye beautiful house! Luckily daughter knew that was the chance - ah well, they will keep looking. Very tired now, such a busy day!
Have also been working on a mini-house for the first time in about 10 years! It seems to me that I'm not very good at it ... ah well, at least I'm doing something! The house is huge, about 12 rooms, but it's been sitting there for so long the family is amazed to see things happening ... :)
There was something else, but I've forgotten ... hope you're all well and happy. :)

I took Laura up to Belinda's today. I helped Belinda trim the trees near the power lines and also move some heavy furniture. Things I probably should not do. Laura enjoyed her day with the animals. I am a bit tired tonight. I have read what you are all doing but, sorry, no comments tonight.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I am enjoying a few minutes of quiet. Boys have gone to softball and I am going to make brekkie and then start gnikooc for tonight. Also have to make the downstairs a little presentable. Luckily Dylan likes to muucav so he can do that later.

Hi everyone.
Hope I can catch up on your lives by reading the posts soon. I wanted to get here for days to let you know that, after 5 weeks, I took Judy home yesterday. She is doing really well. Didn't want you to think things weren't good, just too busy...you know what it is like.
Judy had a skype conference with the oncologist in Brisbane who said,he was amazed that she survived. All good for now. will go and read.

Back again and think I have caught up.
Suzy....You are doing so well to come out of the Diploma and teach High School.Thrown into the deep end without experience would be like any newcomer starting from scratch. You have to find your own method which works in gaining respect. And that is not easy when so many restriction are placed on you by the Education Board. It was much simpler, when we got punished or the parents did, when rules weren't followed. Now,individuals get away with a slap on the hand ad they go away not learning a thing. Hang in there!
Gail...very happy to hear of your great progress in renovation. Nearly there!
MizTricia...happy to hear you will be on your way soon to a new place.
June...Hope you are feeling much better now after that cough/cold.
Heidi..sorry you are in pain with your back.Did the epidural not make much difference this time? A foal on the way must make you very happy.
Tami..enjoy your Jewish holiday. How is the driving improving for Mitchell?
I must go back a page to comment further.

Yes.... this last epidural has worn off early. But I have so much to do that I can't reschedule the next one for a bit. This week I HAVE to help IH with this big job he has. The 2 main days that we have to work the calves are Monday (tomorrow) and Wednesday... the only days that the Pain Management clinic is open. Next Monday I'm having a much needed root canal. I can't remember what I have scheduled for the next Wednesday, but I know there's something. I'm just gonna have to use the maximum allowed painkillers for a while.

Hi folks.
So good to be home and catch up on all the news.

Suzy I'm not surprised you feel that way about SH.. I still have trouble with Deni.. I take my hat off to you .. teaching teenagers. You deserve a medal.. all teachers do. Kids can be so feral.

I had a lovely weekend away. It is kinda nice to visit family and see mums things around the place.. memories.. I am now wearing my mum's wedding ring.. haven't worn a ring for 5 years. I burst into tears when Margie gave it too me. She wears the engagement ring. If I'd had a choice this would have been my choice..

The 'puppies' missed me... J didn't get ANY sleep while Lachie eas at work on Friday night. He didn't get any sleep on Sat night and had to cancel flying... bit hard to fly a plane on no sleep.. Next time I go away I'll suggest they sleep in my bed.. you can shut the door so the dogs can't look out the floor to ceiling glass windows to bark at possums... which is what to do when unsettled because the boss is away ...

Nola.. good news re Judy.

Tricia that is better than good news!!!

Judy what area are the house hunters searching? Near you? Good luck.

How did the cooking go TT. Hope your family celebration is wonderful... miss your posts when you are so busy.

IH just went to bed.... immediately after telling me that he broke the hitch on my 16 ft. trailer this morning. He had all day to tell me..... but did he? Nooooooooo. He also helped me out this morning by pouring 5 gallons of diesel into my tractor, and forgot to put the fuel tank cap back on. In the rain! I told him that I fired Robert for carelessness, and I'M SICK OF IT!!!!

Hi Honey, I am home!
My brother's 60th was great and he loved the photo book! Froze my butt off down there and still smell like smoke from the fire we built down the back yard....remind you of anything Dag?
MizT, YAY! have forgot the time frame but if you are moving probably won't have access to the Internet for a few days.
Suzy, ((HUGS)) when did we make children responsible for decisions they do not have the knowledge to make?
Heidi, yay, boo, hiss and yay.
Nola, so glad that Judy is home and doing well, hope it stays that way.
Have caught up reading and thought of you all and wished you the best as I read.
Love and healing hugs.

Just a quick drop in as I'm on my phone. Working again tomorrow, 10th weekday in a row! I was talking to the woman I'm going to be subbing for, and she apologised for one class, turns out it's 8 monsters! And she calls them that too!

I am soon out to go to Birmingham, sign that lease. Maybe then I will feel this is really happening. A bit frightening, I have lived in this house for 20 years, in a week, it will no longer be 'home'.

Hugs to each of you, I did read and wished you each well, but running behind a bit this morning. Catch you later,

MizT...home is where you hang your hat...good luck with the move.I'm on cloud nine with you!!!
Hello to all of you...I've had a fairly rough weekend emotionally...went to the funeral Sat for my play sister's son, which was a real mixture of emotion since he was the age of my children and I was touched by that reality, yet there was joy that he was no longer suffering..he had been on dialysis for far too long. I rented a car for the weekend and had to drive over 200 miles all told, and since it was the first time in six months since I had driven, my leg and thigh muscles are screaming at me. As if this wasn't enough to deal with, I came home on Sunday after church to a sick doggie. Poor Jazz had two siezures while I was out, and another one later in the evening...this of course meant he needed to be seen by a vet asap...the nearest emergency animal hospital was another 100 mile round trip. My daughter and S.I.L went with me and it was after 1a.m when I got home after he was admitted for observation and treatment. They called this a.m and said he had had two more seizures ...and must stay at least another night. As I was writing this post, the hospital called again and he's resting comfortably at the moment and hasn't had any more attacks so he most likely will be able to come home tomorrow. Glad I don't have too many fully packed weekends. I'll be glad to have Jazz back home...he's such a sweet companion and I am not ready to lose him ...but if I had that choice to make, it would be made in his best interest, not mine. Hopefully he'll do well on the changed medical system for many years to come.
Sending out healing vibes and joyful rejoicing for those trying to push aside the pains of life and body to move forward doing that which is necessary. Hope those who have had the joy and wonder of a great weekend continue to be buoyed by the feelings of contentment and spiritual, physical and emotional rejuvenation. Peace one and all!

Poor Jazz!! He's had a rough time of it. I wasn't aware that he had epilepsy. Are they putting him on phenobarbitol or increasing his medication?
I had a collie years ago named Lyric who had a bad case of epilepsy: Grand Mal cluster seizures. She had to be on a high dose of phenobarbitol for 11 years to keep her from seizing. The Vets said that that amount should have turned her into a vegetable, but she was a happy, playful girl her entire life.

Working the cattle went very smoothly this morning. I worked at moving the cattle into the pens and then into the chute. They were in good moods and cooperated nicely. I'm heading back there now to hopefully work some of the calves again. I said hopefully because we had a spanner thrown in the gears.... a surprise visit from a USDA inspector this morning, who will be here all week. IH does a lot of research that is for USDA purposes (getting new drugs approved) so they need to go over all of his records and verify the accuracy and reliability of his methods and data. The timing was lousy because we started this new project today.

The calves have been worked, swiftly and effortlessly. Since I was the one moving them along, I'm proud of myself. Everybody commented on how easily everything went. And the cattle are happy because the cows and calves are back together again.

Gail and Heidi, thanks for the hugs and commiserations..they do help.
Heidi, Jazz was diagnosed when I went to the San Fran meet in 2008 or 2009..I forget now, but he had his first seizure the night before I left and I traveled to California in a dark mood.. He was placed on phenobarbital then and didn't have any more seizures until August of this year..when the Vet added zonisamide capsules. Now, 3 months later he has had these new attacks. The vet said he had been well controlled prior to this incident and if he had one seizure a month, she would say he would be under control...we'll see how it goes...he's almost 11 years old and its scary to see. I'm hoping for the best.
