wow.. a top...wasn't counting.. I had such an inspiring day yesterday I'm trying to grab one of the inspiring thoughts from some of the speakers..

One went something like this..
'you can't fix a problem with the sort of thinking that created it..' will try and find it and poswt it later.. makes you think about politicians... doesn't it...

Greetings friends, today was a long and difficult day. Had a house full of helpers for the last minute packing, and I got sick, tummy problem. I was in bed some of the morning, and they would come ask me 'pack or sell' about items hehehe. Joy and I had made a good list last night, so that was helpful to them. I guess if I had to be sick better today than tomorrow. Feeling some better now, Joy is getting me a milk shake since I have eaten little today.

In the morning the computer comes down, and off we move. I will be so glad to be there.

Heidi, hope the back is some better and you can get to your epidural again soon. Pain is not fun. Does anything make it more tolerable? I would share my TENS unit if that would help!! Have it now, since I went to sleep a bit ago, and over slept my pain med time. We have a cold front coming through, that always makes me hurt more and those days I need to keep my pain meds on schedule. I do hate having to take so much meds, but I am so thankful they are available to me. If I did not have meds, do not think I would last too long.

BRONI, SUZY, JUNE AND KEN, get over your colds soonest. A spring cold is no fun.

HI Julie, Bye Julie, enjoy your busy days.

THERESA, hope the new shoes and orthotics help you a lot. My sister had such pain in her feet for a while it was unbelievable, only hiking boots helped relieve the pain. On the off chance, let me ask you a question. Do you take drugs for high cholesterol, the statin drugs? That was cause of her foot problems, she read about it on internet, tok herself off them for ONE WEEK and feet improved 99%. Back on them and feet again in big pain. She told her doctors and he said, Oh yes, that can sometimes cause foot pain, and took her off it. but why had he not thought about that in the year she suffered with foot pain. Second sister had same problem, tried same thing, and her pain also went away. It was worth asking you at least. If it is not your cause, this info might be helpful to someone else, who knows. Docs did not seem to know. I just hope it could be something that easy to get you all better.

JUNE< hope you find your missing tapes. I hate loosing things. might be a bit of that in my future. I know today when I was not feeling well, sister put a recharger for cordless hand held vacuum into a box, not with the others and I cannot find which box now. So far I have been pretty good, any box I packed I could remember what was in it ( I do label with main contents but you know, something not related often gets stuck in). I have been able to find needed items even after packed away, but today sis packed so many for me and did not label as thoroughly as I did, I will have lost items.

OH I had the sweetest offer from my Friend Fran from Australia. She will be in Birmingham about 3 days sight seeing before we go to the lake for the week. She had asked if she and hubby would get to see my new 'unit'. I told her of course, I was sure they had seen bo

Good mornig Rolanda, and everyone else.
I have had a busy morning. Filled two green bins from the garden and have also been transferring the tapes. I have been in Germany with Belinda and her (then )husband Werner, We travelled to Switzerland and rode the Glacier Express to Zermat (and the Matterhorn), Lucerne, Interlaken, Grindelwald, and stayed with friends in a town near the border of Austria. We visited Neuschwanstein castle, Dachau concertration camp and we are now in Nuremberg. Bringing back lots of memories.
Bean we leave for Fiji on Tuesday 23 Oct. I will be in touch.

Hi, Everyone! I'm determined to do some reading and commenting tonight. Let's see how far I get.

June, I hope you are soon able to be done with the coughing! It's not helpful that Ken came home with a cold. What a great idea to go through all your DVDs and sort them. We should do that with DVDs and photos. They have a way of overwhelming us. I hope you will soon be able to track down the missing DVDs!

Broni, I hope your cold's symptoms are improving and you'll soon be able to read and post frequently!

Bean, your drumming sounds like a lot of fun! Pacing yourself sounds like a good idea! (Something many of us, myself included, should practice!) Your house guest sounds wonderful! I hope all of the possibilities become realities for you!

Suzy, I hope all in your household are experiencing good health! Did Dana report the 'kidnapping' to the police? It's frightening to think what could have happened.

Cyn, it sounds like the photo book was a huge hit at Karin's party! May she have many more happy birthdays!

Theresa, I hope Shadow is safe somewhere! It's good to hear that your MIL is making some progress. Now, if only your FIL could get to his appointment! When do you get your orthotics and new shoes?

Bean, what a great quote! Thanks for sharing it.

MizT, how awful to be sick on your last packing day. Thank goodness you had helpers who were not afraid to ask, 'Pack or sell?' for those things not on the list you and Joy had made! I hope you will be feeling much better tomorrow for the move! Remember, everything doesn't need to be set up at once. Pace yourself as you get settled in. I hope the move goes exceptionally well!

MIzT, how awful that your sisters had to deal with the side effects of statin drugs! A couple of years ago my doctor prescribed them for me. Quite a few symptoms developed. Finally, I started to list all of them and realized what had probably been making making my life so miserable for several months. I went to see my doctor, and we went down the list. The statin drug was, indeed, the culprit. I will never take it again! It will be interesting to find out if it's a contributing cause to some of Theresa's symptoms.

Heidi, I hope you are looking after yourself and taking it easy! I don't know how you have been able to continue working through all that pain. I hope an epidural can be scheduled soon - and hope it will be a real doozy!

June, it sounds like you're enjoying reliving the memories o your DVDs! Just read now that you'll be going to Fiji next month. How exciting! Be sure to take your camera!

Thinking of all those who could be experiencing horrible weather. Stay safe!

{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, , positive thoughts, healing vibes and prayers for everybody!

Evening all,
I'm on a statin drug and don't think I have side effects - wish I hadn't thought about it though as I've been doing some reading and it's kind of scary...

Gail, what are you painting now?? Wish I could type in my tone of voice - that should have sounded shocked and amazed...

Cyn, I was speaking to a friend up your way and she was in the middle of a really big storm. Did it hit you too, or did it bypass you?

MizT, sending thoughts that you are well for moving day - and that your computer is set up quickly so we don't miss you for too long!

We tried to have photos taken today. Poor Tahli is not well though (Doc says a virus). She lost the equivalent to a bottle of 'milk' today - twice!

Poor Tahli, hope she is soon better and you can get a nice photo of you all.
Tricia, how wonderful it will be when all this is over and you are settled into your new home. Do you think the tension is partly causing your 'upset tummy'.
This afternoon we visited MIL, did some shopping and came home driving through Macquarie University. We had to stop, also a Government bus coming in the opposite direction, for a wild native mother duck and her brood of about 12 little ducklings to cross the road. Unfortunately I did not have my camera.
I have been good today but at the moment I am coughing so I might just take myself off to bed. Big day for me at bowls tomorrow.

Suzy - the storm here was lots of lightning and thunder, some rain - about 20mls, no hail. Not too bad, missed the news so I don't know how bad it was elsewhere.
But had Andrew and his girls here for dinner, they were all at Ems Vacation Care (school hols here), 20 mins from here and they got hail, scary winds, close lightning and thunder, and lots of rain.

Off to get my root canal. That'll help some of the pain levels. Once I get home, I'll try to schedule an epidural ASAP.

My friend's daughter..... now a friend in her own right.... called me a I was going to bed last night. She was in the hospital, in labor, and almost completely dilated. She's decided to name the baby Holly Elizabeth. I'll be calling her as soon as I get back from the Dentist's to see how she and the baby are doing.

HI All,
I'm joining the blah group today since none of my healing vibes have worked...I can't stop sniffling and sneezing...While I am not sick, I can't say I'm well either...therefore...blah...Hate that feeling!!! Sorry so many of you are also feeling poorly if not outright in pain, like Heidi...good luck reducing some of the pain causing factors girl...MizT, keeping fingers crossed that the move with go well and you will be so overwhelmed with peace and joy that the tummy problems are no longer a thought! Broni...as Bean said...just do it...get well! and back into stuff..... Bean, wish I had been in the room with the drum rhythms to take me away from the silliness that surrounds the nearing election here...honestly....our election process is far too long and getting more expensively ridiculous each election...no wonder I have the blahs!!!! Happy that you are pleased with your guest, and do hope you are able to get here...even if it must be only via Skype...if I can deal with Skype, I know you can.....just do it!!!! Julie...you continue to amaze...enjoy. I'd love to see pictures of some of the wood work you and hubby do...when you get around to sharing the cello debut with us you can think of adding those pictures..smiling but serious too.
Cyn...glad all went well with the party and album, but I think we all felt that the album would be a hit.. Suzy, I reacted just as you describe when reading that Gail was painting...again, great minds??? June, love that you are revisiting your memories, both happy and sad ones while organizing your DVDs.... wish I were doing something other then admiring you and hoping that mind will get done by osmosis Hoping both Ken and Peter are feeling better..Hugs to all.....wait, with all of the colds, coughing and sniffling going around I will just throw kisses and hold healing thoughts for all of us, rather than sharing hugs right now....Peace.♥

Big HI to you all. I have missed everyone and just caught up on reading. Like many of us here, I am still coughing too, since taking Judy home about 10 days ago. I had just seen the Dr 3 days prior when feeling ok. It takes me sometimes 3 weeks to get an appointment, so I am hoping to just get over it without meds.

Viv..belated birthday wishes.

Theresa...early Happy Birthday to you.

June...Good luck finding the missing DVD/discs.Hope you also get rid of the cough soon.

Suzy...I still have to watch your youtube link. Glad you are getting some work. Pity you caught the cold also along with poor little Tahlia. Dana must have got such a shock to find Tahlia missing at the library. Luckily she was found still in the building but those few minutes must have felt like forever.

Cyn...glad to hear of the success of the album. We caught the thunderstorm last night also. The sky was black, lots of lightning and finally a good downpour which we really needed.

Tami.. nice to see you. We both seem to be missing lately. How are your parents settling in?

Heidi...your back pain sounds dreadful but you keep plodding along with the farm.No one else to do it and the animals need to be looked after. You are a trooper!

Gail...I looked for pix of the floor days ago...you must be nearing the end of the painting now and I hope you are delighted with the finished product soon, after all of your hard
work.

Mama...a happy ending to Jazz getting sick.I hope you are also improving all the time.

Julie...your posts, as usual, are wonderful. When do you find the time? At least your life is not dull!

Rolanda..any updates on the house progress?

MizT...saved you for near the end to wish you all the best in your new place.Your wonderful family and friends have been immeasurable in all they do.Hope your health issues improve once you are settled and you can relax a bit and rest. It is a stressful time but the end result is in sight.

What am I painting? What could I possibly have left is the question! Now I am painting the third living area, the room all the kids bedrooms come off. Really it is wasted space, but we thought it would be encouraging for them to use it as a movie room or something. Hopefully it will be finished in a couple of days, then all we (I) have left is our bedroom suite.
Wish I could post photos, but the proper computers are still packed away, and I can't transpose the photos from FB like I was doing whilst using mobile devices.

I am getting a new puppy. He is a Jack Russell about 5 wks old at present.Just gorgeous. I am sick of the snakes we are getting around here, most of them being brown which are so poisonous. He might be able to get rid of them.
Greg caught one about 5 ft (1.5 mtr) on the front porch,at night, about 5 days ago. There is a big fine for killing them, but I would rather that than the grandies getting bitten or us. We live close to bushland and the Burnett River in the sub-tropics and keep count of how many we have seen since living here for 20 yrs. Had 72,and that is only the ones we have seen.

The mouth is sore. So is the back. But we got that root canal done. One of the 3 roots was already dead, and the other 2 were badly infected, and had been for a while. I am being put on antibiotics. I wasn't able to get hold of Pain Management to schedule an appointment. The person in charge of scheduling the appointments was really busy and couldn't get to the phone. I'll try again tomorrow.

Mother and baby girl are doing fine. Childbirth was relatively uneventful. I'll call them tonight when I get home from the Lions Club meeting.

Heidi..I have heard that root canal is very painful so have opted to have the tooth removed rather than keep it. Had 1 tooth taken out as a kid for overcrowding, and 2 in the last few years which were wisdom teeth. I have been very lucky to only have these 4 teeth removed in my life. I am the biggest sook where dentists are concerned and even had a neighbor come with me for support. She made it easier by laughing and just being there.
Glad that baby girl and Mother doing well.
