I did as a matter of fact! D#2, who had come home from work early due to feeling unwell, only ate two of her three chops...so I had the other one this morning!

Here's an interesting item.... IH asked me this evening if I minded if he took an apartment near his processing plant. He wants to spend more time there, probably half of each week. I think it's a great start.

Good Evening, Ladies! (Where has our gentleman been lately?)

Hi, Heidi, Suzy, Broni, Victoria, Gail, Theresa, Rolanda, CynB, Vivacious Viv, Nola, June, Tami the Troublemaker,

Heidi, do you have lamb less frequently now that you aren't raising them anymore?

Suzy, I hope your cold is better and the pain from your jaw is not constant! What fun to be able to post upside down. I saw that Gail did it on fb. Life right now is too complicated for me to try to figure out how it's done.

Gail, how is D#2? I saw on fb that she let you know she was feeling a bit under the weather. Hope you enjoyed your lamb! yummy!

Theresa, hopefully your pooter got all updated and is running smoothly now. If only Tami could get her pooter to behave and run correctly! Unfortunately they become outdated SO quickly, and it seems she mentioned hers is about 8 years old - or was I thinking of ours?

Suzy, I hope Ebob is having a wongerful, if cold, experience!

WooHoo! Vivacious Viv visited! We've missed you! I'm hoping (since you're working hard on Avon orders) that you are well!

Heidi, it's exciting that the house and a barn are getting replacement gutters! But it's even more exciting that the kittens' eyes are open and the little birds all seem to be doing well!

Nola, I'm so glad to hear that Renae & Greg's move went well. Hopefully the linens have now caught up with them and the blankets are back on the beds. It seems a long 4 months that you have been kept busy with the coursework. We have missed you, and will cheer you on when you are taking the exams. Good luck! Please keep us posted on that!

June, I hope your girls' day out was fun and everyone enjoyed the lobster! It's fun picturing 4-year-old Laura enjoying her lobster!

Heidi, I'm glad you enjoyed the Cattlemen's Meeting!

Have the lovebirds arrived, Heidi? Interesting that IH wants to spend half of each week near his processing plant. Is it far from you?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a nice day.

Heidi, we used to have peach faced parrots at one time. They breed like rabbits and die at the drop of a hat - finicky little buggers. I remember getting a dead one out one day and leaving it wrapped in newspaper for Kevin to dispose of. We even moved them (in their cage) from our first house. Eventually we only had 2 left and gave them to a friend who was also raising them. He still has cages of them in his backyard.

The niece and her family arrived last night after Kevin and I went out to a meeting. We then stayed up late chatting to them and I couldn't sleep. I wonder if the 2 cups of brewed coffee at the meeting had anything to do with it?

The dog was hyped up because of all the visitors and didn't want to go to bed last night and then this morning he didn't want to get up. Spoilt dog!

My MIL, as usual, has already put her foot in it today.
Firstly, it was "I told them I didn't want them to come" and then secondly "Nobody ever comes to see me!" All I can say is - I'm glad my mother isn't like that.
Lord, old people are hard to deal with!!!

OK, rant over, work to do, I'll be back when I can.

Heidi, I hope the birds have arrived and are healthy! I guess IH being away half of most weeks would give you a bit more freedom. I can't imagine what it would be like to have hubby working in the house.

Victoria, I wonder if Heidi's peach faced lovebirds will breed like the peach faced parrots you had. Very interesting. I guess if they were so susceptible to early death, they have to breed like rabbits!

Hope you enjoy your visit with your niece and family!

And now, since it's nearly 1 AM, I must allow sleep to take over. Good Night, Everyone!

There he is!

Julie, Beth is fine now, who wouldn't be with a half day off work! She came home and had a snooze on the couch, then I made her a toasted sandwich and we watched some cooking shows together, She ate a decent amount of proper food last night and that, I believe, is mainly what the problem was. She is teeny tiny but has this belief that everything she eats will make her fat, so then she eats cr*p like bikkies! Before you all jump up and down about an eating disorder, there is no issue, she just gets this silly bee in her bonnet occasionally. Anyone who has seen her eat lasagna would know full well, there is NO problem!

Hello lovely SA people.
Theresa - that is so interesting about digestive problems possibly being related to the back. I must tell my daughter. She is studying to be a nutritionist and is having digestive problems - she has gone gluten free and dairy free but still they persist. Interesting possibility.
June - I didn't have lobster but it looked good. Hope you had a nice family lunch.
Nice to see Nola drop in and vdV fly by.
Vicki - I've got a dog like that who gets hyped up by visitors especially little ones who stay the night then doesn't want to get up in the morning.
Hi to Suzy, Heidi, Tami, Gail, MizT, Julie and anyone else who posted on the previous page that I've overlooked.

It's Wednesday night and my son and Emily are coming for dinner as they always do. I asked her last night on the phone what she wanted for dinner tonight - she picked macaroni cheese (home made) and rissoles - easy peasy - I'll just do some steamed vegies with it. I wish all dinner guests were so easy to please.

I did not have the lobster mornay but Laura ate all her one. You did have one Gail as I am sure I have a photo.
When we got home Laura and Belinda's dog had got out. Laura was saying Alinkas dead. I won't see her ever again! Our neighbour had found her, not knowing who owned the dog had rang the pound so we were able to get her back.

Victoria, hope you enjoyed your visitors. Are they still with you?
Nola, hope you can get back to the study. But I imagine the days break was much needed.

Evening all!
Finally kicked everyone off the computer so I could have a go.

Nola, sending vibes! It's hard work, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. Ally sang at a retirement/nursing home today. I was amazed at how wonderfully caring the people who work there are. One of the residents, I don't know if she's full time, is only 22!!! She has had 2 strokes due to a rare genetic condition. I keep hearing rumbles about places for young people, but they never seem to come to anything.

Before I forget I wanted to tell Americans about something my niece posted on that other page. spokeo.com is a website that has all sorts of information about you, the kind of information you might put on a survey plus address, phone number, estimated credit rating... there are links that it seems you have to pay to see - email address, photos, wealth information etc. I'm looking at my nephews page right now and believe he would be horrified if he knew!

Gail, tell Beth the quickest cure is a piece of cake/doughnut. That's how I lost all of my weight when I was 19. I slept late, felt sick around 3, bought a high sugar something or other, felt better and then wasn't hungry at dinner... Now I don't recommend the last bit, but it's how I found out what worked quickly.

June, I was smiling about Laura eating all of her lobster. Ebob could eat an adult size meal of ribs at 7 - her favourite food at that time. And that's an American serving size, not Australian! Probably 14 or 15 ribs.

Rolanda, it is so WRONG that it is raining in Perth while visitors are there from England! It would be funny if... no, it kinda is funny.

Heidi, you and Gil might get along a lot better not living in each other's pockets. I hope so anyway.

Cyn, how does your son feel about mac & cheese and rissoles? I like the sound of that Wednesday night tradition.

Vicki, I think shepherds pie would be lovely. We had home made hamburgers tonight and I just sat there looking at it wondering how on earth I was going to get my mouth around it. It was my idea too because I know everyone else loves them.

Raining Cats and Dogs at the moment.. so heavy.

Suzy, I have a Mince and Macaroni Recipe.. basicially it is a spagetti type mixture, add spiral pasta, mix 1 egg and enough milk to make a cup full, add to mixture. Put in casserole dish, sprinkle cheese on top, bake 1/2 hour 180/350..

June - glad you found the dog! I'm not surprised that Laura ate all the lobster - my grandies, except for Chloe, who never seems to put any food near her mouth, all can pack away an adult sized meal. You should have seen what Emily put away tonight - I asked Andrew if he ever feeds her. Suzy - Andrew was fine about the mac cheese and rissoles - as long as he doesn't have to cook, he's happy. We all know how that feels - don't you just always enjoy a meal you haven't had to prepare yourself? I do, anyway!
Suzy - I'll bet the people at the home loved the music. There's a man who comes to Mum's care home every Thursday and sings for them and despite the dementia they love it. I enjoy it and often go on a Thurs to hear him. Some can even be coaxed up to dance - not my Mum - no way Jose!

Heidi, congrats on the new birds. I am assuming you are happy with IH's wish to be closer to the plant a few days a week. At least he asked if you minded.

Victoria, hope you enjoy the time with your company. And doesn't it feel better to rant when you know others on this site are going through or have gone through the same thing? We understand.

Gail, what are bikkies?

I was reading about what people were having for supper. Stop it! I am so hungry now and it's only breakfast time here. How about if everyone prepares a dish and then sends it to me for sampling? Pleeeeeez.
