Try to teach Rain how to use the dog door, then. Grumble. She has me well trained to let her out the door any time day or night.

Afternoon all!
I had to come and tell you that I have just checked the weather where Ebob is sleeping under the stars - it was -2.6 degrees Celsius last night!!!! I have to admit to a little giggle about that...

Lamb is nummy as a roast. We don't buy the loin chops for the reason Gail mentioned - $30/kg! Occasionally buy the cheaper ones when they are on special, but they are definitely not as nice. Has anyone bought a side of lamb recently? The one I bought was missing a lot of bits!

Good Night, Heidi! It's time I head to bed as well - almost midnight here!

Suzy - NEGATIVE 2.6 degrees Celsius? That's below freezing! I hope she had lots of layers to wear!

Good Night, Everyone!

Suzy.... my favorite is Rack of Lamb. I also make a curried lamb that's delish. I serve it on a bed of saffron rice.

Broni, busy is good - the day goes quickly and you are sure of being needed for a while longer!

Vicki, I'm glad you're at work too otherwise I wouldn't have got to giggle at you sending your hubby shopping!

Rolanda, sorry to hear your Mum is being difficult. I can understand why she wants to go home, but hope she soon comes to accept things for what they are (Gail quote sort of there). Sending hugs to you and your aunt.

MizT, I'm not surprised your back and hip pain are from your thumb, I have neck, shoulder and back pain from my jaw.

Which reminds me, when I made my appointment with the specialist I described what was happening and the person I spoke to didn't say 'take panadol', she said - 'so you're in a fair bit of pain then.' When she asked me how to spell the name of my referring doctor I spelled it and then said, the alternate spelling is A-S-S-H-0-L-E. (Apologies people, she laughed though)

Heidi, rack of lamb prices are similar to loin chop prices here. When we don't have the horses anymore I'd be tempted to go with sheep to mow my paddock and raise my own! There must be a butcher somewhere who would slaughter it for us..

I wouldn't mind that curry lamb recipe!!

Warning: Spoiler alert

There's a facebook page that 'tells you how to do it', and nobody who has been there and found out is fessing up as to how it is done - you go to a web page, type, it turns it upside down and you copy it!

House didn't stay empty unfortunately...D#2 came home from work at about 11ish. She'd posted on FB that she was feeling shaky and icky so I told her to speak to her supervisor, and had she eaten? She came back a bit later saying she'd then had a hot chocolate and a bikky and felt a little better, but she is like me, sometimes milk doesn't agree with her and she promptly threw up!

Looks like I'm going to have to feed myself tonight. No kids and hubby is working late... (It's not swearing when it's about hubbies is it?) I'm so upset and disappointed that I have the house to myself...

Suzy - I created a monster when I introduced you to that site!!
Sorry - hello everyone.
Heidi - I love rack of lamb too but it is expensive these days. And I do love a Lamb Rogan Josh.
Gail - saw the conversation with your daughter on FB - glad she came home. I still wish my Mum was available when I'm sick. My daughter still wants me when she's sick too - and she got called back from shopping last week when her sick daughter insisted her father summon her home because she needed her!! Must be in the genes.

Well if my daughter wants to summon me she's out of luck - no access to a phone or a sympathetic ear - just lots of cold cold cold weather! I hope she's having fun!

Let's have a few moments of silence for Tami's computer.

MizT, my husband had digestive problems for years until a physiotherapist was treating his back one time and said there was a nerve running from the spine to the intestinal tract (I believe) and that was causing the digestive problems. Sure enough now when he starts to have digestive flare-ups he goes to have his back worked on. Who would have thunk that back problems caused digestive problems!

You're right about the no-pain no-gain theory, Julie. I think maybe that theory is aimed at athletes or people that are already in good health, not for trying to rectify problems. BTW I had the plantar fasciitis in only one foot, but the other was starting slightly. It cleared up almost immediately after using orthotics.

Cyn, I was laughing about your daughter being summoned home - payback time?

Viv, I hope you get a tonne of Avon orders. How are the health thingys around you going? You could probably do with some hugs. ((()))

Theresa, that is amazing about your hubby's digestive problems!

Heidi, I think it's time they called it the cattlepersons' meeting!!

83℉ / 28.3℃ right now, but it feels a lot hotter. The barn gutters have been replaced. The ones on the house will be replaced on Thursday. There's not a massive rush, 'cause there's no rain in the foreseeable future. The only deadline is the tour in 7 days.

Good morning all.
After pages of reading it would take me forever to comment so I will just say that I think of you daily. It has been 4 months since I started the course and can't drop in regularly.
Renae moved into the house a few days earlier because of the availability of the removal truck.I had a laugh when Greg told me that the big furniture went but the linen was still at the old place. They spent the 1st night in bed sharing a towel to keep warm. The things we do!
This time next week I will be in Rocky for exams.
Better get a move on.
Hope life is good for you all.

Suzy, judging from comments Heidi has made in the past about the area she lives (i.e. neighbours calling IH about her cattle), I don't think a name change would go over very well.

Nola, good luck on your exams. Nice to see you here.

Good morning. Girls day out. Farm daughter is getting her car serviced so I have a day out with my school teacher daughters and Laura as well. When Laura was told we were going out to lunch she declared we could go to the restaurant and have lobster! The tastes of a four year old!
Last time we went to that place was when Vici was here. Quite a few of you had the lobster.

Hi all,
My computer actually turned on today. I am not sure if it is dead, or just possessed. Either way, I am going to replace it over the summer. I get school paychecks year round so my summer camp paycheck can be used for "extras" I try to put summer pay into savings for an emergency but there is always something .
Suzy, I am sure Ebob will survive the cold. It is only for a few days.
Heidi, glad you are able to get the place fixed up. Can't wait to here how the tour went.
I can't remember what I have read so if I missed anything important, I hope you will forgive me.

Back from the meeting. I really had a good time. Our Vet was the guest speaker, and he's always fun. I told him about the spayed cat having kittens and gave him a chuckle.

I'm beginning to think it's possessed, Tami. It keeps trying to fool you into thinking it'll work, then plays dead.
