Nola - such great news about Judy! What a relief for all the family. Woo Hoo!
Gail & Suzy - thanks for letting me know the news this morning. Hope all continues to go well for the little family. I will send him a message when my connection is back to normal - this is sooooo slow here at Macca's.
Heidi & June - speedy recovery. Theresa - hope all goes well with your tests whatever they are.
Victoria - sad news about your friends break-up. Our dearest friends who we even wnet on holidays with broke up about 10 years ago. It was a shock to us and I still miss our closeness. Both have since remarried but both have returned seperately to live in their native UK so we miss them - thank goodness for email, Skype and FB.
Hello to everyone else - I'm sure I had more to say but have forgotten. Maybe tomorrow I'll be back?

Love Heidi's graphics, and my fingers crossed for you too Theresa.I also hope the wait for results is not long.

Wonderful news about Judy, cancer free, what wonderful words.

Rolanda, I hope the assessment went as you wanted, I am not up on how it works, but sounds positive to me. Hope the fluids helped by med change.

Gail, good luck with a new driver, learners permit. T I laughed about the 20 yo driving instructors.

June, hope the eye is better.

Same desire as Tami, win the lottery, go to Oz, visit friends.

Going to bed now, see you tomorrow. Hugs to all.

I too 'lol'ed about driving instructors actually being young.

Well...she got it. Congrats and commiserations gratefully accepted!

Midnight. Just woke up from a delightful nap. Rain decided that she's waited too long for supper and verbally let me have it. What a character.

Good Evening, Everyone! It's almost 11:30 p.m. here.

Hello to Gail, Victoria, Suzy, June, Heidi, MizTricia, Nola, Brenda,

Gail, I really appreciate that you let me know I had lost the end of the comment. I apologize again for forgetting that I had posted it originally. As I said, we were walking around in a daze for a while.

Victoria, I hope you didn't need to wait too long for the rain to die down before starting your drive home. Also, hopefully the meeting went quickly and was not dull and boring!

Suzy, thank you for mentioning that Rolanda gave a "Mum Update" on the other site. I'll need to go check, as I've been wondering how the meeting went. BTW, I actually get more sleep now than when I was still working. Back then, I probably averaged 5 hours of sleep per night and got up at about 5:15 a.m. Now, I have slept in if I make it to 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.

Suzy, regarding the question as to whether we adopt a different persona online - I think possibly I open up more here than I might in person. Of course, probably NONE of us LOOKS like what the others have imagined before meeting us. On the other hand, I think some people actually have created an alternate personality for their online friendships.

Oh, dear, June, the problem with your eye sounds scary. Hopefully it is not serious. Please keep us up-to-date on the progress of healing! Feel better (and pain-free) soon! Sending along some very positive vibes!

Also sending some very positive vibes to you, Heidi! Take the meds you need and get as much sleep as possible! (As to the basement office, what would IH do if you hired someone in to take care of things and the bill was presented/sent to him?)

Theresa, I hope all went well with your annual physical!

Nola, what WONDERFUL news for Judy! Please give her our love and let her know that we'll keep up the prayers and positive vibes to help KEEP her cancer-free!

June, good news that the cream and drops are providing some relief! I hope everything is soon back to normal!

Heidi, I hope you were able to get some sleep once the workmen left and the dogs settled down! I also hope Rain is doing better today!

Not finished reading page 203, but went to Easy to discover the news. I need to change my avatar to something more appropriate to post there. I hope to be back!

What would IH do if I hired someone to take care of things, and presented the bill to him? Nothing whatsoever. If I hire them, I pay them, is how he looks at it. I did find out that he talked to someone at the insurance company to see if they'll pay for it. He hasn't told me the verdict. But the mold spores must be affecting his brain (positively) since he has started looking into it. Of course, the wet carpet and padding is still in place. Idiot.

Thank you to Gail and Suzy for letting us know about the good news on Easy!

Gail, good luck to D#3 to get her learner's permit! Good luck to you living through it! Maybe you shouldn't have been in such a hurry to get the car with hail damage fixed?

Victoria, so sorry to hear about your friends!

Mamacita, happy birthday to your son Michael! I hope he has a wonderful day!

Rolanda, what a long day for both of you! I hope the increased dosage helps with the fluid problem! Prayers for your Mum and for you!

Keeping fingers crossed for you, Theresa, as do results of your physical and additional tests ordered. Keep in mind the time pressures you have been under recently. Our acupuncturist wanted some blood tests done for me, but keeps postponing them, knowing what our last couple of months have been like, and how difficult travel is on us. She said there's little point in paying to have tests done when we already know I'm run down and low on energy. She'd prefer to wait and give my body a little time to re-energize.

Just noticed that Cyn has been here. Hi, Cyn! I'll read your post in a bit.

Heidi, does IH claim his home office for a deduction on income tax? If so, cost of repair/replacement/cleaning might be deductible.

Cyn, we're with you and hope you're soon able to be online at home! In the meantime, Maccas is better than nothing at all.

I have to agree with Tami and MizT! We all need to win the lottery and make our pilgrimage to meet our Aussie friends! I don't want to leave out our friends in UK and US. We need a meet-up for all of us!

BTW, Hi, Tami!

Lest I forget, I would like to thank everyone who has sent condolences and prayers for MIL - both times I posted it here and the time I posted on SA8. Hubby has been doing well since his release from the hospital. We just need to get caught up on some sleep.

Thinking of that, I really need to head to bed. Good night to everyone! See you sometime tomorrow.

Afternoon all!
Theresa, I will send SA vibes, but I am convinced they aren't going to be needed. They mucked up the tests. You are fine!!! That's what I'm sticking with until I hear differently...

June, hope your eye is feeling better.

Cyn, I hope you have your connection tomorrow - we miss you!

Gail, congrats AND commiserations on the learner's permit....

Julie, I hope everything has settled down to a dull roar at your place right now. It's time you had a break. By that I don't mean a holiday, I mean a boring period of time...

Heidi, I still think you should shut the door and pretend the office stuff isn't happening. Not your problem...

Julie. I AM heading off to bed soon, myself.
I'm feeling quite a bit better already. I don't know if the pain killers are just working exceptionally well, or if I'm just shaking it off quickly. There's a lot less swelling than I, or the Dentist, expected, and less pain. I have a feeling that I won't need many more pain killers. I'm not going to push it, though.... I plan to take it very easy tomorrow as well. And stay on soft foods.

Theresa hope the tests go well and the results are as they should be.
Heidi, pleased that you are in less pain than you expected. If leaving IH's office clear up to him wouldn't affect your health and that of your animals I would leave it up to him too.
June hope your eye is a lot better today, take care of yourself.
Gail, I'm sure Hannah will make a good driver it's just the time it takes to get there which will give you a nervous breakdown. I was wondering about your hail damaged car have you got it back from the repairers yet?
Suzy, I know we haven't met in person but have talked on Skype and you were not a shock to the system, looked younger than I thought but then I think everyone looks as old as me.... wishful thinking.
Rolanda, pleased to hear that your mum has agreed to assisted living at some stage, it must take a lot of worry of your shoulders. How are you feeling these days? It seemed to have slipped my mind that you had had surgery not long before your mum was taken ill.

Brenda, yes, the hail damaged car came home almost two weeks ago, in fact, the day after my father came to stay with us. The three of us went into the city to pick it up...and she looks beautiful. Not a dimple in sight, and with the new paint job, better than new. Hubby couldn't be happier. Almost a shame to bring it back home, onto dirt roads! Mind you, the next morning when he had to leave early for an appt, he could have cried when he saw the cat paw prints all over the bonnet! GRRR

Morning all. Not meaning to be secretive or anything, but I don't wish to post findings of yesterday's physical on this site. If anyone wants to send me a PM, that's fine. Guess I'm just down in the dumps a wee bit, but trying to stay positive until results come in. As Gail says, it is what it is (I like that saying Gail). Off to get some breakfast and maybe another coffee. Thanks everyone for the well wishes ... I'm so glad you're here!!!

Good morning sudokuland! Humidity has returned, aagggggghhhhhhhh, and higher temps today. But stubborn me did open windows and doors for a bit this morning fore it gets hot. AC air is cool, but not as fresh as the breezes coming in windows.

WArning: long medical story:
I do think I forgot to report on my doc appointment yesterday. A short recap, thumb had been going to sleep over weekend, I phoned doc Monday, was told if still a problem on Tuesday morn to report to doc at 1 pm. We went, they removed cast, and found the protective ball on end of one pin was pressed tightly to, and into my skin, buried about half the way, under the 'extra padding' over that part of cast. I think the padding just put more pressure on the pins. The doc fund a pair of pliers, pulled that protective ball up and off my skin, they cut some foam with a 'window' over the pins, put on new cast. Numb is getting better, and that constant ache has gone! Actually woke with no pain this morning. YEAH, worth the 3 hour total time trip up to doc.

I'm delighted that your eye is feeling better, too, June. That sounded like a scary experience.

Gail... cat prints ain't nohow permanent.
I bet D3's driving is better than most of the people's around here. After all.... look at the gene pool she came out of. She's gotta be good.

I haven't taken a pain pill in 10 hours now, and I don't think I'll need any more. There's some discomfort, and a little swelling, but less than there was before the surgery. It's just a strange feeling having a mess of sutures high up in the mouth.

yes, it is so good some of our sick ones are improving, time for some good news here. Hand continues better, not totally pain free as the day wears on, but I can sit a spell and it recovers.

I am making a tortilla pizza for my lunch. A low carb, high fiber tortilla as the 'crust', and lots of goodies on top with the sauce and pizza cheese. Timer says it is ready, catch you later, hugs.
