Tomorrow we go on a field trip to a Florida Marlins game. It is all day and I am not looking forward to it. If I feel brain dead now, I will be brain dead tomorrow.

Morning all!
Yikes Nola! You did without a medication so you could get your floors cleaned??? Dirty floors! All the way - leave them dirty! Having said that, when we were both working hubby and I had a cleaner come in - wonderful!
Theresa, I'm so sorry to hear about hubby's cousin. So very young. My father died of a heart attack at 37 but luckily wasn't driving at the time. Hugs to you and hubby!
I'm also sorry to hear about Taz. Hopefully the vet will be able to do something for him. Everything crossed!

Tami, I would be brain dead too watching sports. It will probably be very hot too.
Suzy,my aim was to get Greg to do it, but it backfired.I won't continue for long...but it sure is NICE,even though I run around cleaning up a bit before she comes. hehe

Nola, I don't think hubby would even know where to begin with floors. He's a great cook though!
Tami, a full day at a ball game with a bunch of campers.... hmmmm... I'd be brain dead too! And physically exhausted. Did I ever tell you about the first game of baseball I saw? It was a no-hitter. Exciting to hear about, not so exciting to watch, until the 7th inning at least.

I was glad to get back onto the Arava medication because my fingers were so painful especially in this cold weather.Within 1 week I was getting very itchy from the psoriasis also.
Having tea at brothers place again tonight.I LOVE Thursdays night out.We usually sit outside but it is too cold now.
All my roster has been changed as of Mon,then I will have to work my usual Thur,Fri that I had off. This working and studying full time is so hard.Even if I become an EEN,I may have to stay at the current job as I might not pass a medical elsewhere.

Tomorrow we leave camp at appx 10:30 am. It is about 45-60 minutes by bus. Game starts at 12:10. Then there are the endless trips to concession stand and bathroom, kids must be escorted by a counselor. Game can take 2-3 hours and then back to the bus for the ride home. That is if it does not rain. No rain predicted for tomorrow but heavy rain for friday thru weekend. There is a tropical wave headed towards us. They are saying this could be a very busy hurricane season.

Geeky husbands... our last spare hard drive went to the blonde Pride girl. She killed hers using her lap top on her bed. I had a dead almost identical lap top, there you go.
Heidi, I'd switch one and two...
Tami, I hadn't thought about him being abused, just being taught some very bad lessons... point to ponder...

Nola, you sound a little discouraged! If you are able to do your job now, I'm sure you will pass a physical elsewhere. Doesn't it get a little less physically demanding as you move up the totem pole?

Suzy, most jobs now require a physical but I have been working at the same place for 15 yrs.If I went for another job I doubt I would pass.I can do the EEN job where I am,but it would be lovely to get into something much easier like in a Dr surgery.
I must get to the shops for some food.
Catch you all later Bye.

Theresa, terribly tough times.
♥ for you, hubby, his cousin (way too young) and Taz.
Last year, our anniversary fell two days after Mum passed away, but it was her wish that I 'go home and love that man', so I did. We put all the sad feelings on hold, had a lovely celebration of our life together, then two days later we farewelled Mum. It put me in a much nicer head space.

Nola, to answer your first question...does the fact that we call the machine Buzzclick give you any indication? All in all it's not too bad, a lot of swishing and clicking, but the noisy water filter is beneath us, under the house, so we do not have that to contend with as well. I have sort of got used to it, but it does sometimes permeate into my dreams!

Hi all, just waiting for the grandie to arrive for our sleepover.
The sad thing about hubby's cousin is that his older brother died about 10 years ago in a vehicle accident. There is one brother left. The mother of these cousins is my MIL's sister and as you can imagine, she is taking it very hard. My MIL is one of 15 kids, so there are very, very many cousins.
The storm didn't amount to much, just thunder in the distance and a smattering of rain. However, the humidity (or most of it) seems to be out of the air.
I have read and am thinking about everyone who could use hugs. I have plenty to spare.

Theresa: Thoughts & prayers for you tomorrow. Our cat Tigger is 16 and I know its a matter of time before we'll be there too. Darrell keeps saying he doesn't think Tigger will survive another move (when we move to Washington State). I don't want to think about that, we've had him since he was a 6-week old kitten. Maybe you & your hubby can celebrate your anniversary another day. By the way, congrats!! 35 years is a long time!

Congratulations Theresa! I hope you find time to celebrate 35 years together - so very many years to be there for each other...
It is my mother's birthday today. She is 53. You ask her. She said she decided that she wasn't going to get any older than that. She was 39 for a lot of years but has decided on 53 for the rest.

I was talking to a girlfriend last night who I haven't spoken to for quite some time, and I remarked how I had mentioned my 50th to my youngest recently (not that many years away, hey Suzy?). Asked girlfriend, who is the same age as me, how old she was. Her reply was 40ish, mine was 21 twice and a bit!

Ah Theresa, you have a lot to deal with - and Gail - my thoughts and wishes are with you both.
Maybe I should add Nola - you seem to have a lot on your plate too. And Tami - I would not be looking forward to s day like that, either.
Heidi - love the violets for Violanthe!

My hubby - despite having the required sense of humour, handyman abilities extraordinaire, and lots of other good qualities - is definately no geek!! Anything that goes wrong with our computers is instantly made worse by his attempts to fix it.
Love him anyway.

Thanks for the support, my friends.
Hubby is watching a Garfield movie with our grandie. She is giving him a blow by blow account of what's coming up because she has seen it many times before. Hubby is giving me a break to get some chores done.
My hubby does the housecleaning more than I do, but when it comes to repair work, he tries very hard. He gets an "A" for effort. But not when it comes to computers. Laundry, cooking, no, he doesn't do those. But he's a keeper anyway. After 35 years I would hate to have to train a new one ... better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
We have some shopping to do in Ottawa Friday evening, so I think we'll probably stop for supper then for our anniversary. Our vacuum cleaner died on the weekend, and our coffee pot. So I have an excuse for a messy house for a few more days.
Well, off to scoop the litter box. Oh, what fun! TTFN.

Greetings all, I agree, geekie hubbies are nice to live with.
Theresa, nothing wrong with having a favorite cat. Perhaps it's personality just syncs with yours better than any other. Hope the news from the vet is better than you are worrying about.
Tami, yes, you sound like a teacher, but you should, you know.
Heidi, hope the dogs and you survive the thunder storms tonight. I see you were able to catch up on sleep a bit, was Gil away today?
I might have slept almost that long today except I had to get up when alarm went off for therapy. ONLY thing I set alarm for now. I did better in therapy than I thought I would, was making progress still although to a lesser degree today. next week we check grip and pinch strength again, hope those have improved in the last 4 weeks. Will see the bone doc again too.
Time for snack and then to bed. Hugs to all.

I can't believe how much I've slept today. I fell asleep around 6 pm, and woke up at 11:30 pm, and this after sleeping from 1:30 am to 2:30 pm!!! I REALLY hope that it's my body's way of catching up on lost sleep. I'm gonna feed dogs now, then go back to sleep. When I wake up again, IH will be gone for 2 days!

Good Evening, Everyone! Hugs to all!
Hi, CynB, Broni, Gail, Brenda, Suzy, MizT, Vicky, Suzanne, Theresa, Nola, Heidi, Tami, Rolanda and anyone I unintentionally missed!
Broni, you have been so busy again/still - and we miss you. Even a once a day pop in to say "Howdy" is fine with us!
Gail and Brenda, you are so lucky to each have a hubby/geek! I have a bother/geek when it comes to PC's, but not so much when it comes to Macs. (We have 1 of each.)
Suzy, it sounds like Nomnom has her days and nights mixed if she wants to play/love/interact at 3 a.m. Time for Super Nanny! Speaking of Super Nanny, it may be too late for her and the 8-year-old harasser and his older brother! Do they have parents - or just "birthers"?
MizT, I hope you had a good and productive day! We know it was busy when you combine physical therapy with all the little "while you are out" errands!
Vicki, I hope you slept well and got hubby to the train and you to work! Hmmm, home brewing! Never tried that.
Gail, it seems your hubby is really making a good adjustment to the home treatments! It certainly beats the three trips a week. To this day, hubby dislikes seeing the dialogue at the bottom of the screen for hearing impaired, as the TVs at the dialysis center he went to all had that. He occasionally was able to nap, as it was at the end of a long day of work. I think you and your hubby will be able to figure out something that will make it easier for him to sleep. Then, of course, there are always "nana naps."
Theresa, so sorry to hear about your hubby's cousin - what a shock! Please give him my condolences! I hope your fears for your favorite cat are unfounded! Sending positive vibes. On a happier note, Happy 35th Anniversary to you two love birds! Congratulations! Wishing you many more!
Heidi, you must feel so much better after your amazing sleep! Hopefully it has helped make up for the night without AC!
Nola, I think we are almost all blessed with helpful husbands, even if they don't or won't help with some of the things we would like them to. You are SO busy with your job, your coursework, your family, etc., that I'm not sure that an occasional cleaner is an extravagance. (Please don't go without your meds, though!) Enjoy your meal at your brother's place!
Tami, thinking of you at the Florida Marlins game. I hope you remember to take sun screen and water! The heat and the sun would be enough to exhaust me!
Theresa, I hope you and your grandie have a fun sleepover - and get some sleep!
Rolanda, I hope all of the man flu leaves your house! Feel better soon! Good luck to Stephen in his temporary (hope it becomes more permanent) job! Hope all goes well and painfree with his wisdom teeth extractions! (A "hundred years ago" mine were removed two at a time - with just a novocaine shot. Of course, that was back in the dark ages!)
MizT, I hope all of the progress checks next week show enough prog

MizT, I hope all of the progress checks next week show enough progress! Sleep well!
Heidi, I'm sure you're just catching up on much-needed sleep! Enjoy the 2 days with Gil away! BTW, I like your new avatar!
I haven't mentioned it, but I, too, am enjoying seeing so much purple on the pages! And now, I must head to bed. Another early morning, but for a fun reason - Breakfast Club with 4 friends from high school who live in this area now. Good Night and Sleep Tight!
Hugs to Everyone!

Not coughing as much now. Had a day catching up with some jobs and the cleaning lady was back from her holiday so the house looks a bit more presentable.
I also spent some time loading photos onto the site. Messed up a couple by putting an animal on the parents page and leaving one comment onto the following photo. I submitted 12 photos but have lots more I could do.
