Well Gail that little jump got you a nice topp.
-5C here this morning, with snow on the ground. Not too sure if it will last until Friday, the forecast suggests it will not down this area but will further north. Hope it does as my niece and her family (from Perth) are up there for Christmas, it would be nice for her children to see a white Christmas.

Evening all!
Lazy day today. For me anyway. Ebob worked from 7.30 to 4.30 so she'd disagree with me. Hubby worked too so I think he'd disagree with me.

Tomorrow the Pride girls are doing 2 Xmas parties at a retirement home - different wings. This is what their singing is all about! They are 100% volunteers and although they did a fantastic job at carols last night, the smaller thing seem to me to be the things that make the most difference in the world.

Just went back to see what I missed and love that Gail is the short one... Since I think she is a tad taller than me I must not have shown up on that day...

I'm uploading a video of Ally as Freddy Mercury on fb right now. The problem is that I have this sense of deja vu as if I've done it already... Oh well, I guess I can delete if I've duplicated...

Hi everyone
sorry haven't commented for a bit but have been reading and sending all sorts of vibes to those that needed them and then some.
Hey I need all your help - I have just received the best invite to a wedding, it has been done like a Newspaper add, with lots of small adds, one of the adds is a Limerick competition, for the bride and groom.

Amy is a hot head, and Wayne is way too cool for his own good - they also have a daughter called Lucy if that can go in with the lyric somehow

Christmas preps are under way with the residents
they are loving it, make up nails done, like full manicures for all 90 residents yikes hard work, but they love it and it gives me heaps of sit down time. I am still not great still got the pressure thingy in my neck, and just tired as all the time.

Oh - almost forgot. Did a taste comparison with a package of Timtams that Steve sent me and the ones I bought at Safeway in the states.
YIPPEEEEEE! They are the same!
Actually - not sure if this is good or bad news. I believe I'll find myself like the rest of my Auzzie friends: not allowing them in the house!

You know that you can also buy Timtams on eBay. Vici. The only thing is that the shipping from OZ is costly for a box that will vanish quickly.

Everyone.

I'm waiting for Robert to arrive.... meanwhile, I'll have brekkie..... so we can spend the day moving dense-grade gravel. It's starting to get muddy around the water tanks and mineral feeders, so time to fix that problem.

I'm doing the easy part of the job... bringing the gravel to the site using the front end loader. Robert then gets to spread it in the right spots with the shovel.

Ken thanks you for all the birthday wishes,I did not make him a cake. We ordered one slice at the restaurant and Laura put a candle in it . We cut it into very small pieces and most had a bit with Laura finishing off any bits left.
Vici, I bought a couple of packets of timtams for when you were here and other than the one packet that was eaten that afternoon the others are still in the pantry (maybe I should not have made that slice!!!) I am not a timtam person!

It's snowing again here! We haven't had this much snow for years, temperature is 0C, warmed up from this mornings -4C.
I'm being lazy and have just ordered an Indian take away for dinner, there is a wait of an hour and a half.... busy and bad weather to contend with.

Busy day, a funeral this morning for a friends mother aged 92. My friend, who has the most beautiful voice, started the service by singing "Maggie" (her fathers nick name for her Mother). My friend is the eldest of 7 children, thenthere are 26 grandchildren and 38 GG children. The family will miss her but they all knew her time had come.
I then have some friends coming for dinner and I am cooking a duck......so I had better get moving! Catch up later.

We got all the gravel moved, such as it was. We always try to have a pile of gravel available for various projects. There wasn't much left of this pile, only 5 front end loader buckets. That was enough to get rid of the mud puddle in front of the water tank, at least.

I am being a B-A-D girl again. I'm thinking of adding to my bird collection. I'm thinking about getting one or two Fife Canaries. They're colorful MINIATURE Canaries, the same size as the Gouldian Finches, and compatible with them.

Afternoon all!
I hope everyone is having a wongerful day!

Ally and the girls just sang to 2 different groups at the retirement home. It was a little bit like getting into and out of a jail as the place was locked down so the dementia patients don't go walkies. The second group were more autonomous, but they had one resident who needed protecting. It was lovely! We might even be invited back.

There's nobody here to talk to, so I'm gonna feed the dogs then head off to bed.
IH is gone for ANOTHER night, and nobody is expected to visit tomorrow, so I'm gonna be able to relax most of the day!

Hi folks.
Just home from the Work Christmas break-up lunch. Everyone had a great time, and I got to meet some of the latest employees!
Today included saying goodbye to George, who has been with us almost from the very beginning. As he said, this job came to him in his twilight days and he has been a good and loyal employee, and now, at the age of 70, we wish him a long, happy and well-earned retirement.

I whipper snipped like a trooper yesterday. Almost got it all finished. Hubby will get out on the ride-on tomorrow morning and do the front yard before it gets too hot, and I will try to get the front verge finished and the side verge if I have any oomph left in me!
Then we will go out food shopping for the big day.

Good afternoon all.
Heidi - did I read correctly? You have nothing much to do tomorrow and are going to relax? That's a first - enjoy it!
Suzy - those people in lockdown nursing homes may have dementia but they do enjoy some singing - I'm sure they loved it. Good on the girls!
Visited Mum today with my Aunt - she was in good spirits but was coughing a lot - hope she isn't getting a chest infection.

June, I bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house when your friend was singing for her Mum. I know there wasn't at my mother's funeral when my sisters and I started singing 'On the Wings of a Snow White Dove' at the beginning.
