My previous post I got booted off the internet so replied to MizT instead. Brenda think my last post answers your question. Was just telling Lizzy shellfish is off my diet but am introducing things slowly, will probably suffer but prawns and morton bay bugs I cannot give up totally.

MizT, no wheat, dairy, gluten, pig, only free range chicken once a month and no shellfish but have been able to convert a lot of my recipes with some great results, even Possum looks forward to what I am going to cook of an evening.

Shrimp would be hard to give up! That is a traditional Christmas thing down under isn't it? Now the " bugs" is that similar to our crayfish? I could do without those no problem.

More like a large shrimp/prawn or crab MizT and they are as sweet as, have six in my fridge for the dinner tomorrow night and starting to salivate.
On that note I should be in bed, have a big day tomorrow.
Love to my friends, please stay safe and watch out for those others..

Suzy, when you said you had good news, I was NOT thinking about you being pregnant. My first thought was that you found a teaching job and was going to join me in my noble, if underpaid, profession.

Good Morning All. Looks like is going to be a warm one today. I should not be here! I should be getting everything done so I can relax with the aircon. later when it is too hot to do anything! Also the 'sucky' lady is coming today so must see everything is off the floor.

I am in the middle of baking brownies to take to a Christmas party Mitchell was invited to. It is from the teacher sponsor of his school's brain bowl team. Mitchell is one of 8 boys on the team. Competition starts in January. She is having the party for the team but invited the parents also. We are bringing the brownies. First batch is done, second batch soon to be started.

Morning all!
MizT and Broni, that is such fantastic news, even better than winning lotto!

The blonde Pride girl is looking at a diet pretty much like that for the rest of her life, except with almost nothing cooked. She is eating small amounts of cooked food, just so her mother can keep her on the diet most of the time. If she could read and identify with you I think it would be easier for her.

Suzy, as the pride girl grows up she will get used to the diet and figure out ways to "cheat" without getting sick again.

I am exhausted. Robert and I got 3 busted fences repaired!!! That includes removing old, rotted posts and replacing them. One of the fences was a stockade/ privacy fence I use as a wind block in the calving pasture. We had to replace posts and several panels, as well as a bunch of 2x6's I use for strengthening it. My back is killing me. I'm gonna take some methadone, go to bed and watch a movie.

Hi folks... have been missing you guys. Started going around peoples pages but have had to call a halt to that... dial up is making it impossibly slow [not that I am not enjoying the opportunity to sit down...]

CANNOT believe it is Christmas eve... what presents and stuff I haven't got now I cease to care about... I DO NEED to get in some food!

I have felt so dreadful for so long that I finally admitted I needed help and went back to the doctor and let him have his say.... that is never good! I have been prodded, poked, X-rayed & bled. Not surprisingly the findings weren't good... Good news tho despite the feeling that bone is grinding on bone in the hips it isn't 'quite' ... there is still a wafer thin gap between the bones... Will get some more results next week and a couple of referrals. Rang up to book one of the annual 'maintenance' checks expecting a few weeks delay and was shocked when they said I could come in today... thought about the traffic and said that next Tuesday would be fine...

I am hoping that the small fortune I spent at the chemist yesterday might give me some relief and enable me to walk for more than 10-15' without being crippled by pain... Wish me luck..

Will be catching up with a lot of family over Christmas which will be good. We will be having lunch with the in-laws and if I am up to it I will head out to my sisters in the afternoon. I cannot remember when it could possibly be that we haven't spent Christmas together. I hope to catch up with at least two of my brothers. One brother is down from Queensland and the other is not well enough to travel so hopefully will get up to see him while he is still able to enjoy visitors. I haven't seen him since his diagnosis with MND.

Have a load of washing I'm waiting to hang out and hopefully I will have completed my shopping list by then and then be able to go out to restock the larder...

I THINK it is good not being able to remember what else was on my list for today...

Oh what a joy it is to come to this page a visit with you lovely people. As someone else said, you have all enriched my life and one of the highlights of the year for me would have to be my trip to Sydney where I got to meet some of you in person. I would love to meet you all.
I'm another one who is pushing for time to send individual messages, I will try but can't promise. Thank you to those who have sent messages to me.
I wish you all and your loved ones a wonderful Merry Christmas and a safe, Happy and healthy New Year - for those who've had a bad year this year, I hope for a better one next year. I love you all!

Ah Broni - I'm with you for the Moreton Bay bug - yummmmm! We're not having them this Christmas though - we have ham and Colin will be spending the morning barbecuing the chooks with beer cans up their whatsies. I won't be eating them but the rest of the family will. I've done my final shopping and this afternoon will be making Suzy's choc ripple dessert for those in the family who don't like Christmas pudding and rum butter (fools) - I will have both - diet be darned! See I even utilise recipes from my sudoku mates!!

Chickens are cooking and look and even smell good, Broni - photo to come after Christmas. He's being very religious about basting every 10 mins - even setting the timer - men are so pedantic.
Suzy - choc ripple dessert made and in the fridge - yee haa!! I used raspberry jam (warmed up) on the bickies.
I must have a paper cut on my finger and got chili in it when I was chopping it up - it still smarts hours and several washes later.

Cyn, it's not my recipe! I got it from Gail...

I only get to be here for long enough to try to burn a CD for my brother. He has been looking for a copy of Bing Crosby's 'Small One' for several years now. I only just found that out and have managed to find one online. So far I've successfully downloaded it and unzipped it and am now trying to burn it to a CD - one failure so far...

I am not close to my brother but wanted to do something for him this year. I found out today that his first grandchild died 2 weeks ago. She was premature and had the cord wrapped around her neck. The poor little thing didn't make it. Typical of my brother he hadn't told anyone, but broke down today and told our mother.
