Oh my lord Suzy, that is such a terrible tragedy. I had only read your first line before posting, then read the rest of your post.
I am so heartbroken for your brother, and especially for the parents of this little angel, so briefly here.
I am so sorry for their loss.

Thinking of her, too.

She hasn't really said much Gail other than give me a not so gentle push to forgive past transgressions and make an effort to go to his house tomorrow.

On the twelve days of Christmas my true love sent to me....
Twelve Swaggies snoozing
Eleven possums peeping
Ten Emus eating
Nine Lizards leaping
Eight Wombats digging
Seven Koalas climbing
Six platypus playing
Five Black swans swimming
Four Cockatoos screeching
Three Kookaburras laughing
Two kangaroos hopping
And a Rosella in a Gum Tree....

Suzy I am so sorry to hear that news about your brother... love and hugs coming your way to ease your way with your brother tomorrow. It often takes something like this to nudge us into doing as your mum wishes... forgiving past transgressions and just get on with living...

Same here June, like I just said on easy, everything's wrapped, the desserts are made, I have a headstart on the salads...all I need to do now is get a few hours sleep, get up in the morning, have the traditional champagne brekky and watch the mess begin.
FUN

Merry Merry dear ones!
I, too, feel so many of the sweet, heartfelt sentiments shared by some of you regarding the gratitude I feel for my friendships here on SA.
And now, having traveled to Oz I feel especially close to my lovely hosts and friends down-under.
Thank you all for being here for me and each other throughout the year. It is a privilege and such an honor to share this page with you all.

Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating today, and tomorrow....As you look around at the warm glow of joy and goodwill that surrounds the day, take a mental picture so that when bad or depressing things crop up, good memories can quickly blot out the all too often sad reality of life.
May today and the year to follow bring so much goodness and joy that we are able to smile very easily. May you and yours be up to the challenges that come your way, knowing that you are never alone. May Peace find you as needed. Happy Holidays to all of you, my very special SA friends.

Heartfelt good wishes going to your brother and his family Suzy. Maybe you could put your differences behind you and see your brother. I'm sure that your mother would like that and you never know you may even gain your brother back. (I have a similar problem going on with my middle brother and have tried but nothing has worked)

Suzy, my thoughts go out to you and your brother. I hope the two of you can get over the past and live for the future. I do not get along well with my brother, but he is my brother. We may not be friends but he has always been there for me, and for my family. He might even learn the Hebrew blessing if my dad is unable to.

I would like to wish all my sudoku friends a very Merry Christmas. I may not celebrate the holiday, but I do celebrate the joy and feelings that come at this time of year. I hope that the Christmas joy will last all year, for all of my friends. I would like to send individual greetings, but don't have the time. I think of all of you often, and it truly does help to have a world-wide network of friends.

Tami... I don't celebrate the religious aspect of Christmas. I'm not a Christian, nor was Christ born on Christmas, so I see no point in celebrating his birth on Dec. 25th. But I do celebrate Peace on Earth... good will to man.... The spirit of giving.... and the jolly man in a red suit with a sleigh pulled by 8 tiny reindeer.

Morning all! Looks like I'm going to have to bang around a bit - the kids are still asleep!

Heidi, see if you can find 'six white boomers' to listen to - the Aussie version of reindeer...

In honour of christmas I have put up more photos of Ally at carols in the park. Someone took them with a professional quality camera. One is singing the aussie carols, the other is singing frosty.

Now I have to go and bang some things ...

Merry Christmas dear friends

What a year it has been for us. We have all suffered some very sad lows, some ill times and some irritating disappointments, but I think it has really helped us all through it knowing you were all here. Bless you all.
May next year be one of dizzying highs for all.
