Good maEn everyone! Thanks Nola for the anniversary wishes. 18 years is a long time for some folks. It helps to be married to your best friend.
Suzy: I'm very sorry to hear about the loss in the family. Prayers & loving thoughts to your brother at this sad time.

Darrell & I are spending a quiet Christmas day tomorrow. Went to the mall today to watch folks run around like chickens with their heads cut off!!! We used to do that in California, go to the mall, have a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) and people watch!! Too funny!

If it wasn't for the traffic and parking, I might do that, too. It sounds like a great spectator sport Suzanne.

Evening everyone. Sants was good and I smell rather nice with the perfume from Hubby. Not sure of what he expects of the Aromatic Energizing Body spray that went with it??? .
We had a lovely lunch with prawns, other meats, lots of salads, Christmas pudding with custard and brandy botter, fresh fruit salad etc. Like everyone else we all ate too much.
Heidi, Our garbage collection is let out to private companies and they collect on the alotted day no matter if it is a public holiday.
I hope everyone else has or is having a wonderful day.

Hi Susan! Merry Xmas and I hope your son is having a wonderful birthday!

Suzanne, I love people watching too. Xmas Eve I try not to go anywhere near shopping though!

June, the imagination goes wild when I think of your question...

Ebob has to work tomorrow - boxing day in a tourist town with a second day of rain... boy is she going to have 'fun'...

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and wishes. I've shed a couple of tears for the little girl I will never know and you have helped me immensely...

Heidi, I knew what you meant by your "not a creature was stirring" comment. You know I have to cause trouble. It is not in my nature to stay in the background. I have already been looking at maps and trying to route a trip to Ohio. I found out that the bride's home town is Columbus. We also want to go to Cincinatti (rock and roll hall of fame) and Akron (football hall of fame). Mother of the groom is suggesting a Florida wedding. I may not have to travel at all. I have roughly 18 months to figure out what to do and will let you know when they set a date and place. If we have to go to Ohio, I would love to see your farm. I know the beasties would have a blast.

Debby from Michigan always takes I 65 from Michigan to Florida. That way she bypasses Atlanta. It's an easy 2 1/2 hour drive from here to Cincinnati. You just get on I 71 in Louisville and take that to Cincinnati, where it merges with I 75. Columbus is only 1 1/2 hours from there.

Good morning everyone on this wet boxing day in Bundy. The rain is needed badly so there wont be any complaints.

Our Christmas day was the best.We ate and had a swim and ate some more ,as you do.
The 3 grandsons who are 7 and 6 yrs were so excited about Santa coming.
The 2 girls, who were never very keen on the pool, ended up jumping in,going under and coming back up with big smiles. It was great to see them all playing together.Renae was amazed at how quickly the girls achieved this new skill.
I hope you all had a great day too.

I just had a wonderful visit with my Aunt Bonnie and family on Skype. My cousin gave her the camera for her pooter for Christmas. It is such a joy to be able to see and hear her like that.

Tami, I hope you get to see Heidi's farm, though I know travelling while working can be a hassle.

Nola, what a wonderful day it sounds like you had in Bundy! Littlies and Santa are wonderful.

Heidi, how wonderful that you were able to speak to your aunt. I hope you have many more conversations.

June, I feel like I couldn't eat for a week - unless it was chocolate! Never too full for that.

It is raining here, slow and steady. Perfect rain for getting deep into the soil. The timing could be better with so many people holidaying at the moment, but our river has the lowest flows it's ever had so I'm not going to complain.

I definitely know I ate too much, but have been craving trifle for breakfast!
Liz, what is it that makes it so addictive?

We had a great day yesterday, apart from a couple of tense and teary points, but it wouldn't be Christmas without those!

Poor Ebob!!
I just took her to work and couldn't believe the crowds. The parking lot was completely full and yet still cars were streaming in from all entrances. I went through her lane with a couple of bargains and she looked stressed only minutes into her shift... I've always known it sucks to shop on boxing day - which is why I usually don't - but hadn't thought about what it was like to work that day until now!

I ended up canceling Christmas dinner here. IH is really sick. A bad case of the Flu. I was going to serve braised lamb shanks, green beans and blueberry pie (there ARE only 2 of us) but they stayed in the freezer.
Gail.... I adore trifle, too. But I only make it when we have company here for a holiday. So how about sending some of your leftovers here???

Poor Ebob!! I refuse to go out on Boxing day. Even way out here in the country, the crowds are horrendous. I cannot begin to imagine what she's going thru'. She'll probably have some good horror stories to tell if she survives with her sanity intact.
