This house is full of ancient, generic, dead pooters, too. IH is too cheap to buy a good surge protector, so he has at least 1 pooter fried each year.

Hey, it's not me, Gail. It's my IH. Usually he's OK but he won't throw things out and I'm very annoyed with him anyway.
Last night he told me he was just going to pick up his mate (up the road, walking distance) and they were going to get bait and he wouldn't be long. Over 3 hours later he arrived home and when I asked in a nicely sarcastic manner, had he driven to Sydney to buy the bait - I was looked at as if I was the most moronic person ever born as he said - 'we went to catch the bait with squid hooks' - and then claimed he'd told me that. I was not happy, as any woman could understand.

Cynthia: Darrell had a pair of camoflage shorts he couldn't FIT into since he was 19...We got married when I was 29 & he was 34...he couldn't get them over his hips!!! I made him get rid of them. There are also times I throw things out and say "what pair of shorts, t-shirt, etc" OR "oh I gave that to goodwill some time ago" Trust me after nearly 18 years of marriage, IT WORKS!!!!

Suzanne - Colin had (can you believe this?) cowboy boots when we got together as well as some rather dubious other clothing. Karin (my daughter) and I gradually hid them and then after a while gave them to the aussie equivalent of goodwill. He took years to notice, but was still not pleased with what we'd done.

Su7zanne and and Cynthia and all, I do you one better. I donate what of his that does not fit and if he ever asks if I have seen it, I can honestly tell him I do not know where it is.
I do not tell him it could be at the donation center or have found a new home or been made into rags hehehe.

That's probably the only problem I don't have with IH. He loses his own clothes so quickly that he doesn't have a chance to store them away. Friends of his keep finding his clothes in their cars, even if he'd only been in their car with them for 5 minutes. When he travels, he doesn't like to carry around dirty clothes, so he just throws them away when they get dirty. This is why I won't make clothes for him any more!

Hi Bean. Yes it has been. Have not been well.
Also got a part time job just recently.
At a jewellery shop that is inside a place called 'Timbertown'. It is the recreation of an 1800's sawmilling town. It is about half an hour from Port Macquarie in a place called Wauchope.
I work Wed, Thurs. and Saturdays 10.30 till 3.30pm.
Wear period type dress to work. I work on my own those days as it is not real busy unless a busload of tourists visit.
I have put some pics up on my page.
I have been plagued lately by migraines though which is a pity as I have not long started the job.
Anyhow have been for a battery of tests and get results on Monday.
I see you have been a busy girl organising for Vibrant Vici's visit. That will be a great time for you all.

Good Maen Sudokuland. It is a lovely morning here, cook and crisp. I have windows opened to let in the cool before the sun heats up today.
VIV, good to see you back, and so sorry you have been unwell. Migraine is not fun. I hope the docs can find a tiny little something to fix and you are all better soon.
Cynthia, I agree, I find that husbands are like having a larger sized child, with bigger and more expensive toys. And, my hubby still has 2 pair of cowboy boots, but this is an area where cowboy boots with your newest pair of jeans and shirt and cowboy hat is dress wear hehehe. BTW, he does not WEAR the cowboy boots, they rub a scar.
I shall go check out the new photos now, and get another cup of coffee.

Viv, what a neat place to work. Thank you for sharing photo with us. Another place on my virtual tour of Australia. I just wanted to lean over the case for a closer look at the jewelry inside.
Are there more tourist weekends and summertime?

Kitty story, if you are interested.
Last night was a cooler night and just fore bedtime Al and I were out on the back porch to enjoy it. All 3 kitties were around, keeping the required distance from each other. Scooter decides to climb the corner post and take a stroll on top of the house, her mouse patrol. Phantom noticed of course, and follows to the post, stretches upward, and stops, looking after her. He perches on the rail, sits and stares at her route of access, then pretends he really did not want to go up there any way. In a bit, we see him staring at top of the house, were he can see Scooter. He watches, looks back at the post, up at the cat. I could see wheels turning.
I do not think he will ever follow her up there, there is a tricky bit to get around the roof overhang and onto the slick tin roof, no place to sink a claw to give a cat confidence. He is just too big, heavy, muscular to get himself up and over. Screech is too much a clutz to make it so for the time being Scooter has the roof of house all to herself. Phantom is envious.

Hi MizT. Love the kitty stories. Yes more visitors in summertime and weekends.
It is good though as I can take my knitting and sit outside or do my sudoku's and crosswords etc. if no one is around. I must check out your photos, I have been trying to keep up with the posting and noticed you have been using those two smilies a lot. They were beauties.

Good morning all! The rain finally has stopped! Sun is shining this morning! Bryana has her last two finals today and then she comes home! She finishes her last final at 4 and has to be out of her room by 5. Hubby is going to get her. I'm not strong enough for the trip yet!

Oh Stella...that would be fantastic - we can celebrate together...but you are a very VERY long way from California though. I did tell Vici that I really am not a party animal in need of a big bash ha ha...but she sounded pretty determined!
I desperately need to get myself a BIG map of the USA so I can put little flags all over it and try to work out where you all are. It looks like a very long way when I look at a map and most of you seem to be closer to the East coast than you are to the West coast and I'm not sure how far west I'm going to get.

Stella, a bit of a tight schedule for Bryanna. having to deal with packing and moving out and finals all at once is a bit much. ROFL, hangicap ramp to the roof? Too funny. Maybe we should put up a ladder and teach him to climb it. Scooter climbs ladders a lot. Up is much easier for her than down hehe.
Mama, good to see you posting a bit more, keep it up! Enjoy the trip to florida. I am one of the closer ones, and cannot make the trip. I just do not travel well. Heidi, which route are you driving down?
VIV, thanks for the kind remarks on my quilt. Yes, I use the sewing smilies to mark my quilt reports. That way some who are following my progress can find them, and some who might not be interested can skip them.

Heidi, I really hope you will be able to make it. I would like to go, it just depends on camp. If it is a field trip day, I may not be able to get off. I am the head counselor of my group. Don't know age yet or how my other counselors are. I will find that out the first week of camp, which is when we set up and kids stay home with mommy or daddy.

Suzy, that is so exciting that the kids are on the local website. To them, that is more exciting than a perfect score. Mitchell is now asking for a new video game. I told him he had to wait until his final report card. I am not that easy.
