Mmmmmmmm.... blueberry pie. I have one in the freezer. Think I'll cook it up!

I'm drying off nicely now. The pond is a lot less congested with elodea and dead leaves. I'm doing a water change, the easy way, now...... running water in with a hose and letting it overflow for hours.

EEK! Turn the water off Heidi, or send it over here!!!

Morning all.
It is so good to see the excitement on site...everybody counting down to some important date...China, Florida, Melbourne, California... We really are becoming an amazingly mobile bunch for a group that met on the cyber highway...

Last night Vici and I started to plan MY NEXT trip to the states and HER NEXT trip downunder...
I don't think either of us will have enough time [Vici] or money [me] to do everything on our first trips. At this stage I'm planning on buying a ticket with an open return....you might have to deport me..LOL

I am also going to start investing in lottery tickets to try and fund the epic Vici Beanie adventure!

It is wonderful to see Mariana here...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR MARIANA

Bean, the trips you and Vici have planned sound wonderful. I wish I could visit Australia. Right now, my trip to Daytona Beach could be the highlight of this year, and that is only 3.5 hours away.

I am now going to say goodnight and tuck myself in. Only 3 more days of school, not that I am counting.

CONGRATS!!!! I like close goal attainments.

GAIL, I think Heidi has a well for water. that is if I remember right from the storm, I think they were without water because of the power outage. Does that help a bit with the water running??

After all the rain Heidi and many of us here in the SE has had lately, noone should be on water restrictions.

Speaking of water I had to water my outside plants for first time today. We have been sunny and hot for about a week now, plants in containers dry out more quickly. I got one of my garden hoses in place, the back one, it was easier. tomorrow I should work with the front one, a much longer run from a faucet. I should have done this fore it got so hot, you know?

Yes, we have a well. And no matter how bad a drought we have, it's never run dry.

Don't worry. I have turned the H₂O off. I'll run it for a few more hours tomorrow as well. I'm trying to refresh 1,500+ gallons of pond water.

I know Tami the T has gone to bed, but would like to apologize. I did not intend to single you out. As I mentioned AND unintentionally demonstrated problems with spelling and grammar on the last few pages, I have had my share of oopses. (Is that the way to form the plural of oops?) I just joined in the spirit of discussing pet peeves. (Does anyone know why they are our pets?) I met three friends who graduated from high school with me today for breakfast. Guess what teacher's name came up . . . Miss Adolphson. (She was the teacher I mentioned on a previous page.)

thanks for the b-day wishes. the pie was pretty dang good actually. wish i could share. so, if i am reading things right, bean is planning a trip to the usa???!!! you and vici had better drive down to utah for some interactive fun at "the house!" you might be just in time for painting! or even some landscaping- i know vici is a champ gardener!

Hi Julie - yes I did but I must admit it was a bit far fetched. I hadn't got around to reading the book yet and purposely left it till after I'd seen the film in case it ruined the film for me as it often does. My friend had read the book but still enjoyed the film so it can't have been too far off. I really did enjoy seeing Rome again - I was there in 1996 and kept nudging my friend and saying - 'I've been there, I've been there!'

I have enjoyed catching up with the comments, but now can't remember any of them.

Still no sign of that AF plane - how awful for the relatives. My sister and her hubby are flying home from Tassie tomorrow and I told her to be careful. Have I mentioned that I hate flying? (Yes, I know hundreds of times). I do because I won't give in to my fear but I hate it and hubby ends up with bruises on his arm by the time we land.
