OMG, the neighbors have actually turned the music down, though I can still hear the pulsing bass. Maybe I will get some sleep tonight, after all.

Was just thinking . . . (I know, seems so unlikely, doesn't it?) . . .
Heidi, who will administer tranquilizers to Dennis & friends while you are gone? Will hubby be a good pet-sitter and see to all the feeding and caring for animals? Crossing my fingers here. Have a wonderful Fiona Fest. Wish we could all join in!

Heidi the following cut and paste is about the meditaion event / concert / gathering that I try to attend...
"Experience Balance sound meditations with Garth Stone and Elise McColl on Sunday evenings each month at the Augustine Centre in Hawthorn. The next Balance event will be held on July 19.
Relax and rejuvenate in the comfortable and intimate surroundings of the Augustine Centre as you deepen your meditation practice while immersing yourself in ambient sound. Garth and Elise play an array of crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, chimes, tubular bells and harp.
This month's special guest will be Andy McDougall. Andy plays the Native American Flute and is an experienced flute teacher and maker. His flutes help to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, cultivating an environment that will enhance any meditation or relaxation experience."

Good evening everyone,
Welcome home Rolanda and Happy Birthday to Stephen.
Played the next round of the Mixed Pairs (Lawn Bowls). We were 19 all at the 21st end (a normal game) and had to play an extra end to get a decision and we lost. It was a very good friendly game but I did not play as well this week as last week. Ken played brilliantly.

Hi Julie, I certainly hope you get a good nights sleep. Will not be long now Heidi till you are off to the Fionafest.
Suzy, pleased the computer is being more co-operative and hope ti continues.
Stella good luck with all the painting. I was up the ladders a couple of days ago painting the fascia boards at my daughters house. Will be painting at my MIL's later in the week. I guess you are painting outside by your comments.

Well I didn't watch masterchef!! I went to my meditation event.
I hope the house wife won but I really couldn't give a toss.
The flute player was marvelous...and so was his flute and his playing....LOL
Dropped my friend home and went in to try her hubbys home made Borscht ...YUMMO... had a glass of wine and then came home and ate my own dinner... and had another vino...not good to go to meditation on a FULL stomach...or a completely empty one...wouldn't want anyone to hear the rumblings!!
And now I am going to put the garbage out and prepare myself for bed.
Have a good day everyone that is just starting their day and sweet dreams to the rest.

Good morning all! Sun out this morning, keeping fingers crossed.
Bean, glad you enjoyed the meditation!
Tami, woohoo you got the internet back!
June, sorry for the loss, but it was good that it was friendly and enjoyable. Will you be painting the outside of the house?
Julie, hope you were able to finally get to sleep.
Don't remember anything else at the moment.
Off to go outside and paint the last part of the garage. Then down to cleaning the house before everyone stops in next weekend!
Have a great day!

Bean, my dad likes borscht. I don't even like looking at it.
Had a wonderful chat with Heidi last night. Even showed her the dress I bought for the wedding. First place I went to look, I found a dress and paid less than half price for it. Did I mention that I hate dresses and only wear them by force.

Good Maen all!
Just popping in with a quick hello and goodbye...leaving for Reno in a few hours and still need to pack and make myself presentable.
Tami - great score on the dress - I have shopping and LOVE when that happens.
Gail - so glad that your time with your sisters was only filled with joy - and so pleased that you seemed to have moved through the greiving process beautifully!
June - sounds like your game was great even though you guys didn't pull it out in the end.
Julie - I was up last night due to dog barking (from the same neighbor that blasts music, too) - I feel your pain - hope you got some sleep.

Beanie - so glad the concert was wonderful for you and Victoria.
Heidi - Fionafest truly sounds like a festival of fun activities. You guys are going to have a blast! Can't wait to hear all about it.
Plenty of sunblock for everyone.
Hi Suzanne and Stella - hope I haven't left anyone out.
Off I go - be back in touch in a few days.
Love and hugs all around!

Whewwww, did I sleep late! But then, I was foolishly up 'til 5 am finishing a fascinating book. It took place during the aftermath of the French Revolution during and after Robespierre's downfall.

Greetings friends. Busy morning here, I slept late, then did some recipe hunting, found a new one to try. Had my coffee on the deck, another cool and comfy day. Watered the back porch flowers, still must do the front.
I hope to get outside and enjoy today, as I missed yesterday. I was a sick little puppy, some bad tummy upset. I am wondering if food poisoning, that violent, but cannot think what it might be that caused it. Today I am taking it a bit easy, puttering around, then sitting again.

Good night everyone. Had a busy weekend so haven't been on line much. BBQ yesterday at a friends house.
Today have been helping daughters pack cases as they go away tomorrow on holiday, for a month, to Canada. Trying to get the weight right on suitcases and carry on bag is tricky.
My friend in hospital is still on ventilator, but got a message from her daughter saying that she had opened her eyes and seemed to aknowledged that she saw them there. First time that has happened. She is still very very ill though.

Thanks to those who have sent me messages concerning Kelly's safety. She is still not under an evacuation order, although over 11,000 others in the area are. There are now four seperate fires raging, and it appears there is an arsonist in the 'safe' area of Kelowna setting fire to a home, a car and a garage within a six block area. There are no fire related deaths so far (thank God), but this is a scary situation for all involved.

Brenda, glad to hear that your friend is doing a tiny bit better. Any improvement has to be a good sign. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts.
Had another good shopping day. Found a new suit for hubby at a good price. The only thing I have left to do is get a hair cut. I haven't had one in almost 2.5 years so I think it is time. I will be donating my hair to "locks of love" Now I just have to find a place to get it cut. Did I ever mention I hate haircuts? I also hate make-up and only wear it for special occasions.
