Raining today! I must get back into painting the house when it stops! Trying to get the kids to organize all of their stuff for school. Need to buy the supplies they need while they are all on sale. Where has the summer gone?!? Brendan goes back to school next week for soccer. Meghan goes the week after. Meghan is in senior housing this year which means she has a kitchen and the girls have to cook. That should be interesting! She needs supplies that you would have for an apartment. Most seniors lived in apartments the year before, so they have the supplies. Meghan's group of girls that she's lived with since freshman year, all had 4 year's of housing, so they never had to move off campus into an apartment. They're all starting from scratch as far as supplies are concerned. We picked up a vacuum and some dishes yesterday. One roommate got a coffeemaker and another got a microwave. Hopefully, the girls will be able to work it all out.

Good afternoon all. My guest list for Mitchell's Bar Mitzvah just went up by about 20 people. Meet with the Hebrew school director and she advised me to invite: Rabbi and Wife, director and husband, tutor and husband, and all the kids in his class. This is similar to planning a wedding. Since my mom planned my wedding, I should dump all the arrangements in her lap. But, I won't do that, I will do it myself.

My classroom is now an official disaster area. I moved all my stuff from my second room into my original room. The teacher I shared with moved all her stuff out. I now have to reorganize my closet and move everything back into it. Right now it is all on desk and table tops. I should take a before and after picture.

Stella, my girls have asked me to start getting them stuff for when they move out. The old glory box idea. Meghan will have an interesting and challenging year this year. If she gets along well with her roommates they will have fun working it all out.

And Gail, we are not allowed to burn leaves or anything in Sydney as it pollutes the environment.( I used to love having a back yard burn up!)

Tami, 20 people is not the small event you were hoping for! The timing isn't good with all of the school organisation stuff too, but I know you will manage...

June, have fun at bowls. We can still burn off out here in winter but we have to get a permit first. In summer we can't but it's about preventing fires rather than pollution.

I know Suzy, hopefully not everyone will be able to come. The Hebrew school director has already said she is coming. I hope some of the kids won't come. I may not invite the whole class. I will decide soon. A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.

June, I know, I have real environmental issues about burning off generally, but it is ever so satisfying! All I have to deal with now is a small pile of ash, which I will just rake out over the area. As you know where we are is considered rural, I am sure there is no burning off allowed closer in to Melbourne.

Rolanda, I have booked a restaurant for a private luncheon but I would have loved to have you cook for me. I could have rented a room and have you catered. I think the airfare might have cost me a lot of money though. I do hope you will all put up with me over the next few months. The party is in January and I will probably need to vent on here at times. I promise, I will post pictures.

Debby from Michigan will be going through my neighborhood (on the way to Florida) in late October. We're planning on getting together for at least a meal. This is something wonderful to look forward to. She is an incredible person.
