Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Laura. I will tell Sharon to show them all to her tomorrow. (Sharon has a meeting tonight and Laura will be in bed when she gets home)
Laura took cup cakes for all the children at daycare and celebrated her birthday there. We are going over tomorrow night and will have take away Chinese and give her her presents then.

We have got her a small fish tank, three small gold fish. I have bits and pieces everywhere trying to age some water etc and then we have to take it all in the car (20 minutes) without getting water everywhere. The fish are swimming around in a very large glass jar at the moment.

Heidi, get well quick. I hope IH takes you to the Doctor. Hope everything is well with you now Vici. Good news about your friend Brenda. My son is the spender in our family. The girls are very wise with their money.

Hi June - having a smile about the fish, tank and water and getting them to Laura without spillage. Good luck.
Yeah, I know I turned the page and while I don't actively look to do it any more, when it's there for the taking with nobody around, why not? Couldn't resist.

Heidi, try apple cider vinegar. It should work for your throat and it would have helped with your stomach.

Brenda, great news about your friend! Have a nice visit.

Just here for a quick good morning. I only have a few vacation days left. I had a list of things to do over the summer and have not accomplished most of them. I wanted to order the invitations and have them all addressed and ready to mail, I ordered them yesterday. I still have not even looked at photographers or dj's. I guess I will be busy on the weekends. Or make my mom do it for me

Hi Bobby, nice to see you here. I will only have a small amount of water in the fish tank as I want to put it back in it's box and wrap it in pretty paper! The cling wrap will be a good idea though. Thank you. The rest of the water I will put in other containers.
Off on a bus trip today with some of the bowling ladies. We are going to a camellia garden the other side of Sydney. It should be a fun day out.
Tricia, thanks for letting us know that you are OK.Have a lovely relaxing time. Ken is going to Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore next week so I should be able to get my French polishing finished.
Bean, enjoyed your blog. I will be in touch in the next few days.

Hi Mom, looks like I just missed you also.
Don't remember what else I was going to say.
Got some of my errands done today. Started pricing photographers and DJ's. I think I need to plant a money tree somewhere. Either that or rob a bank. Anyone want to help me???

Empty house!

Ebob's adventure with her ATM card... she bought herself a pair of jeans and a couple of tops. One of the tops has a lace bodice - very open lace. She wasn't going to wear any kind of undershirt with it (she can wear civvies today - school excursion)... I told her she might get attacked if she didn't cover up some of the cleavage!

Suzy, it is only going to be about 60 people. I need the DJ to keep the pace and get everybody out of the restaurant on time. I would like a photographer so that we will have proof it happened. I called a photographer that my brother knows. It ends up that he knows alot of the same people I do, including one of my cousins. Him and my brother never talked about it. He said he will give me an excellent price as a favor to my brother. He sends people to my brother's store and my brother refers people to him.

Cyn, I know everything will be ok in january. It is just the planning that will drive me nuts (ok, nuttier). I wanted to do a lot over the summer and never got around to it. I spoke to a photographer today and really liked him. I am waiting for him to email a quote but I think I am taking him. I am trying to keep it cheap but still make it a nice day for Mitchell. I would get my mom to help, but we would end up arguing. We have different ideas.

Hi folks! Happy birthday to Laura! (Sorry I'm late) and to Scott - have a great day. (MMmm, Gail's pavlova!

Well, not much happening round here - sore throat yesterday ... oh-oh! But seems to have passed without incident - hooray!
Was poking around in a rarely used cupboard the other day - and I found my missing stamp albums and other precious things I carefully packed away before the house renovations! In the meantime I'd given them up for lost and gone to the stamp shop to try to replace some of them - so now I have two lots of stamps and I've had a lovely time sorting and arranging them all. I guess the local fete will get a bonanza this year with all my spares. Happy now - don't you just hate it when things go missing?

We had a make-up/hair trial for the wedding. Suffice it to say that I am dreading the event even more than before! The lady seemed very nice, but she failed to read the warning signs when she commented on D1's skin problems - end result - D1 was extremely rude, then spent the rest of the time having hysterics in another room. Poor make-up lady! I'm really not seeing any way out of the problem - if she doesn't like the way she looks on the day she insists that she will redo the make-up in her usual style (ie: 1/2 inch thick!) Don't know what to do about this one ... :(
Sorry for ranting - I'm a wee bit depressed at the moment! Must go and rearrange my stamp-albums - very therapeutic!

I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The severe cold meds are finally starting to work. I still feel crumby, but the fever has broken and I can breathe easier. I may rejoin the world in a day or two.

My tractor mechanic has been swamped with work. He FINALLY was able to get out here today. He had to take the tractor back to the dealership. It turns out that IH HAD broken it when I was in Florida. He broke the clutch again. From now on I will carry the keys with me so he can't use it. Forbidding him to use it hasn't worked.
