Hello everyone.
Viv.Have a fabulous day.

Lizzy..I hope your friends Mum hangs on until after the birthday.I always feel sorry for the families of the dying,it is such a traumatic emotional time.
Brenda..it's wonderful to hear that Lesley is making progress in re-hab and might be home hopefully before christmas.
Tami..I enjoyed the different ending to the wizard of oz.Thanks!
Suzy...good news that you are all better.Happy car hunting too.

Renae has moved into another place,I called around after work yesterday and helped with the last few things and now the unpacking begins again. She starts work today so not much of that will be done until the week-end.At least the beds are ready and the kitchen has food.

Nola, so glad that Renae & family have completed the move and now just have the unpacking. I don't envy them the work.

Rolanda, good luck with offspring's move. It's a little too far for many of us to help. Have been thinking of your Mum - how is she doing? Hope she's feeling better!

And now, gotta run. Need to think about helping D fling some food. My hubby and hers have been working all week on their deck. The upper level floor is complete & some of the railing done. (Supports for the horizontal portion of railing are on back-order, so only posts & top horizontal are installed.) Steps from upper to lower level are finished. Perimeter to lower level (kind of an octagon, so MANY angles to cut & fit) is nearly done, as well as posts & upper horizontal portion of railing. Then they'll get to work on lower level floor (more angles to be measured, cut & fitted). We head for home Tuesday afternoon, so it will NOT be completed. Hubby is thinking of trying to come back in a couple of weeks to do some more work on it. (Next time, I would stay at home so I can be getting physical therapy & water aerobics classes before the knee replacements.)

Morning SA8,
Happy Birthday Viv, hope it is special.
Not much sleep last night, had to take Possum to the hospital in the middle of the night, gall bladder they think, spoke to him just before and is drugged up. Off to have a shower to try and wake up so I can get some sense from the doctors.
Take care everyone.

I have been telling her for years that I am a better cook. She still will not admit it, but she did not try to argue last night. I will take that as her giving up.

Broni - I do hope Possum is ok, and the no sleep bit, is fixed tonight.
My girlfriends Mum is still going, they have stopped all the meds including the very strong antibiotics she was on for a nasty infection on her leg, that seems to be nacrotic, poor thing is in a lot of pain, but they have now got her on something stronger, and is very relaxed, thanks for all your support.

Good morning all! Chilly (in the 30's!), but nice. My in-laws are not used to the chilly weather, they stayed in the car at Ian's game. We did go see Brendan play yesterday and it was a gorgeous day. Brendan played! They lost in double overtime. The stupid ref called a penalty kick in the box. I was taking pictures and had proof that the other team committed the foul, not Brendan's, and the sideline ref was right next to me and saw it too, but he didn't say anything. I think they just wanted to end the game. Bad luck.
Here by myself at the moment. They all went to bring Ian to school. I didn't know they were all going until just before they left. They're probably going out to breakfast.

Morning all!
It's days since we've heard from Heidi.

No more news from Broni about possum. Let's hope no news is good news.

Liz, although it is hard to watch your friend's mother in pain, maybe it's better that the anniversary is not your friend's birthday.

Nola, I agree with the others, Greg is a keeper! I hope you get some more sleep tonight..you're up early again today.

Mamacita, sending hugs.

Today I am helping a friend celebrate her 50th birthday. A couple of years ago one of her closest friends moved away. She called me a few days ago and asked if I could find a way to make sure my friend would be home at 10 this morning. She suggested a package delivery. So I said that someone had asked me to make sure she was home at 10am as a package that needed to be signed for would be arriving. I said they asked me to tell her as if she knew who it was from she would know what it was. Now my friend's very close friend will show up on her doorstep and say 'I am the package'! A few of us are going to show up a bit later and hopefully we will all go out for lunch.

Good Morning SA8.
Thanks for all your thoughts for Possum he is out of hospital and I now remeber why I hate the place so much, they couldn't find anything so suggested it was acid in his stomach...nup not where the pain was grrrr! He will see his doctor today. Yes thanks got a much better night sleep last night.
No time to comment on everyone must shake a tail feather and get ready for work.

I just heard great news on the radio. A local woman travelled to Germany to compete in a dog grooming competition. She won! She is the best dog groomer in the world! (Of the ones who entered the competition anyway)

The same Lions Club that sponsors the group Ally sings with sponsored her trip. What makes her win even more amazing is that she is 28 years old and has been diagnosed with MS.

The sky here looks very eerie. It looks sort of like there is smoke from a fire, but the colour is different, a tinge of reddy orange to it. That's why I turned on the radio - to see what it is. Turns out it is dust from the west. Incredible!

Hello, Friends!

Broni, I hope Possum is feeling much better! Is the diagnosis of gall bladder difficulties confirmed? They can now be removed laparoscopically - just a few short incisions.

Brenda, good luck with helping moving. It's always nice to have an extra vehicle or 2 to transport boxes!

Liz, continued thoughts & prayers for your friend and her Mum!

Nola, your hubby sounds great! Yep, ought to keep him!

Broni, hope more sleep comes your way this evening!

Stella, rotten refs! Yep, sometimes they just want to see the end of the game (paid by game, not time, if paid at all).

Vici, how exciting! Your move-in is within sight, as is your trip down under. We can't wait for all of the exciting pictures & news!

Suzy, great news for the young woman dog groomer! How are your girls - and how is the car hunt progressing? The sky color sounds interesting. I wonder what color the rain would be if it rained through all that dust.
