Hi folks.
Today is the first time i have read the Sunday paper in 4 weeks... I even managed it with a coffee in bed. Bliss. Funny how important our little rituals come to mean so much to us.

Your generosity hasn't been repaid Heidi... we are still missing Tami.
It was good to get an update on Julie. Thank you Tami.
It is good to see all the wonderful photo's of the sudoku meet in Sydney. Thanks for posting them everybody.
I'm trying to recall what else I WANTED to comment on but has slipped from my somnolent state.
Had best return when I am more with it!
Have a wonderful day everybody.

Dog story: We have 2 dogs. When we go outside one rushes right up, the other takes her time. So if we are feeding them or giving them a treat we call her over. Ever since I can remember Rocky, the rush right up one, doesn't eat straight away. It drives us mad. Well we've finally realised the problem. If we say his name, he will eat immediately - you see we called Shadow and not him so he isn't sure if the food is his!

Poor Rocky... sounds like your diagnosis is spot on Suzy. The first time we left our first dog with a dog sitter we got a phone call late at night...
"how do you get your dog to eat?"
We had her trained to only eat on command... Bit different to our present dogs as anyone who has met them well knows....

Yea - everyone is home safe and sound and everything is right with the world........ I'm off to bed now too, been a hectic but, oh so enjoyable weekend. Great family party today, have posted pics on FB but probably won't here. Between my brother, sister and I we have 10 kids but 4 were unable to attend - 1 holidaying in Berlin, 1 working in the Middle East, 1 lives too far away in central Qld and 1 had to work. However, those that were there had a great time. It was great to catch up and meet our newest family member - great-niece Ada who is 2 months old.

Sounds as if you have all been having a great time with meets and reunions.
I'm not having much time to post but have kept up with reading. We still have until Friday to do lots more sight seeing. Weather now a little cooler so is perfect.

Everybody. I am REALLY tired after yesterday. And my foot is swollen like a sausage. I had been planning to go to the North American International Livestock Exposition today, but decided to pass on it until another day. I have some chores to do, and I think I'll go to a movie tonight.... "The Men Who Stare At Goats" starring George Clooney.

Heidi, I would rather stare at George Clooney than at goats Thank you for saving me from the TOPP, but at this point, it is pointless. I already set the record and don't care anymore. I stopped keeping track of all the others about 60 or so pages ago. I just logged off early yesterday and watched a (stupid) movie with the beasties. They liked it.

I have not had a chance to look at all the party photos. Will do so soon. Glad to hear that everyone is having such a good time. I will be seeing Brenda again on Wedensday. It is Veteran's day, so there is no school. I will post pictures and describe the place later, after we have been there. I will say it is a restaurant I have been going to since I first moved to Florida when I was 4. Have to go pick up the beasties and run a few errands. Also, football day. Be back later.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

Morning all!
Another group home safe and sound - only one to go.

Cyn, you had a huge weekend! It will take you a week to recover, but boy was it worth it!

Bean, the poor dog has been wondering what is going on for a long time now. We remind each other to call him now(even if he's standing right beside us).

Brenda, the time has gone so fast! Only one more week - but I bet you fit a lot into that week...

Heidi, I've never heard of that movie. Let us know if it's any good, though with George in it I'd probably watch it even if it was bad!

It feels weird that today is a day like any other day after this weekend! I'm going to try to get some ffuts done, Ebob starts her exams, and I have to try to get hubby to stay home from work and TAFE. I definitely don't want him driving when he is so sick, but he has a test so is still planning to go.

Ken is going to take Laura to her swimming lesson so I can go into town to have lunch with............Vici, CP, Bluey, Kathi and Rob.

I try not to feed the white co*kies because they are so destructive, but you should have seen them all last night after they had been fed by everyone the night before. Laura likes to give them a biscuit (cookie) though.
I do feed the lorikeets, crimson rosella, kookas, butcherbirds and the occasional King Parrot.

Good morning lovely people -
June - your back garden is a peaceful haven for the birds. Thank you for the opportunity to witness it. Enjoy your lunch with everyone - wish I was still there.
Suzy - probably too late, she's probably gone to school now, but Good Luck to Ebob for her exams.
Heidi - let us know how the movie was. But as someone said, if George C is in it, it's worth seeing for the eye candy.
Brenda - enjoy the last week of your holiday especially your next meeting with Tami. Now we wish we were there!
Nola - it's been really dry here too but a few storms over the past week or two have done wonders with greeing the place up.
Have a nice day all.

Good Morning SA8.
Great pics everyone.
Bella has not left my side since my return, have already taken her for a walk and I hope that is the most active I will be today. 10 days travelling and partying is catching up with me.
Gail, safe trip back and many thanks for driving Maz and me up to Syndey and the airport.
June, have a great time with Vici and the gang today.
Lots more to say but craft has caught up with me again.

Cyn, family reunions are so great, even if everyone can't make them. It must have been wonderful having all the kids there and the new baby! You must be exhausted from all of the parties!

BTW, how do you and the other top zoos get more than one of the animals you buy, ie: butterfly? Mo, you and Steve have at least two of every animal!

Warning - Facebook Zoo talk!! Could be helpful in the future for Suzy and Tami.
Stella - re Zoo - as the butterflies aren't on the unlimited list, I had to make heaps of money visiting every zoo I could find, including zoos of other people who visit my friend's zoos, and buy the other butterflies. Also while I was training my stupid Bald Eagle which took 10 days, I used the money I was making every day to buy second animals of each type. I couldn't go up a level until I trained that Eagle. I also accept every animal sent to me because that's partly what increases the value of a zoo.

I haven't read the posts yet. But I wanted to tell everybody that I actually posted pictures of our Lion's Club float in the Lincoln Days Parade. Keep in mind that this is small town, even though it IS the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln 200 years ago.

We've already started planning the next float. We want to win the trophy for the best Float this time. We'd only decided to have a float in this years parade 3 days before the parade. We still probably had one of the top 10 floats. That doesn't say much about the competition. Most look like there had been 10 minutes preparation.
