Hi all, just heard from Gail, she is having a break at Yass and is well ahead of time.

Thank you to all my friends who have so generously gifted me animals. The boys are loving it. The boys said I am now spending too much time on my zoo.

Cyn, I remember going to a family reunion for my mother's side of the family when I was a youngun. There were hundreds of people there! I couldn't believe how many people I was supposed to be related to!! I'll have to ask Mum about it because I don't remember much, just a boat ride and people everywhere.

I bought my dolphin. Thank you everyone who visited. I am going to bed now. I will be back tomorrow.

Suzy - we had an enormous family reunion of Dad's side of the family back in the eighties - there were hundreds there too (including you-know-who) because when his parents came to Oz so did my Grandmothers siblings, all to Qld.
Broni - thanks for letting us know how Gail is going. I was thinking of her earlier.

I hope the weather cools down a bit for her drive... or at least she has efficient air-conditioning! Far too warm down here. Poor Vici... she will wilt again...

Both my boys have Uni Exams this afternoon. and they are both on at the same time, 3.30pm !!!

Our family renunion was the reason I went to Melbourne in the first place, just lucky it was the same weekend as Beanie's bash! Eight family groups from eight daughters, there were over 200 relatives in attendance.
Gail does have good air con and is now over the halfway mark!

Rola PLEASE do not send any more warm weather this way... I thought you were my friend!! It is still spring!! Not summer. 34C = 93.2F

Glad to hear about the air con Broni... it gets to be pretty hot coming south from Yass as you cross the plains... my sister at Swan Hill said it was over 40 the other day. It will be a relief for her to cross the Great Divide!!!

Rola it is that xtra 6 degrees from 28 to 34 that does me in. Hope your boys are happy with the papers that they get.

MIL will hopefully be out of hospital tomorrow... I'm on standby for transport home after discharge. If it is Wednesday the other DIL is right to pick her up. Oh for a quiet life... I should have stayed in Gippsland!

Hi all. Back from the movie. It was quite enjoyable, but they didn't kill enough goats. George Clooney was brilliant in it. Besides getting to see him naked from the rear!!

I added another photo..... the front of the float. There was also a 2 1/2 ft Lion's Club emblem on the front of my truck. The patriotic theme was for Abraham Lincoln's 200 birthday year. That was the theme of the parade. There must have been 50 Lincoln impersonators there as well. Some were great. Some were hideously bad.

I had a great lunch with Vici, CP, Bluey, Katitude and her Hubby. Also did a bit of sight seeing. I have a couple of feet that are rather sore. I have put a couple of photos on my page.

And bed...!

Bean, I have not even started to read except to see that your MIL is in hospital. I hope she will be alright, sending thoughts.

I have to get up 6am to water some of my BND plants. My garden has needed little supplementary water since installing a grey water drip system last year. Decided to flush it out today because everything was looking so sick... more than I would expect after a few hot days... I discovered that it had been turned off. Heavens knows how long for. You would think I would have noticed... the switch is part of the power point in the bathroom... you can't exactly miss it!

Hey guys, I'm back, more or less! Sorry if the typing is a bit iffy - the cast really gets in the way! Yep, my trip to Italy took an unexpected turn, via the emergency room, but on the plus side we did have a great holiday, and some interesting detours.
Haven't had time to read everything - is the get together still on tomorrow, or has that changed? Let me know - I'll see what can be done.

Ebob exam story: Science was so 'easy' she finished with an hour to spare. She went over and over her paper and still had 45 minutes left. (????? how do you go over your paper multiple times in 15 minutes????) So she braided her hair all over. Little braids over her whole head. Hmmmmm. Maths and History/Geography today.

Hi Gail.How was the drive home?Hot I suppose.

Air conditioned bubble, I didn't feel anything!
It was a good, easy drive, thanks Nola. Not a lot of traffic and it's a two lane highway most of the way. Made it back in plenty of time to pick up Vici at the airport, in fact, I beat her!
Today is my allocated watering day and the vegie garden is gasping, so I must take advantage of these few minutes I have before the school run.

This only being allowed to water between 6am and 8am has whiskers on it... I'm back off to bed for an hour before contemplating the day.

the -----, from the knees down I am retaining fluid, the clinical co ordinator at work said to see a doctor about it soon,I am being treated like a resident, they keep telling me to put my feet up. I have made an appointment for tomorrow morning, to see my G.P.-- and its all due to the weather, I'm telling you I would love to be heading in to winter, not summer.
You can always put on another jumper hey...
