Now I remember .... Vici thought going to you and your friend and her family.
I have just had a call from my daughter who is a teacher. They have just been informed that a pupil has died from swine flu, I'm not sure if he had any other health issues but he was only 15/16.
His year group are in shock. To make matters worse they are all due to sit an exam today.

THE NIGHTMARE IS OVER!
I saddled up Red Hawk again, went out to round up the 2 cows who were still visible, only to discover that they were NOT my cows. They belong to a person who lives on the other side of that 100 acre corn field. This guy is a bit wacko, and if I try to catch them for him, he'll accuse me of stealing them. So I don't have to do a bloody thing!

I also spoke to the Vet clinic about Lucky. They agreed with me about my suspicions as to how he got the epilepsy. Remember, he was thrown out of a moving car as an 8 week old puppy. Most cases of epilepsy are injury related. The Vet clinic told me to monitor him. I need to keep a written record of his seizures... when he has them, how long they last and their intensity. That will help us determine the treatment. He's back to acting normally now. It took him a few hours to get back to his usual happy state.

Evening everyone.. Heading for bed..

Mum just rang to say my cousin in Holland just rang to say his mum ( my dad's sister ) had died overnight.
She was suffering from Alzheimers, and for her it is a blessing.

RIP Tante Rie

Suzy, Meghan gets bad headaches and they are mostly caused by two things, allergies(especially spring into summer & again, summer into fall) and hormone fluctuation with her cycle. Not fun. I hope Ally can figure out what is causing them. Hope hubby feels better on the meds and gets well soon!

Hmm, not sure what I think of the new fire danger warning system. Today my mother is in an area classified as 'catastrophic'. That's kind of scary even though there are no fires in her area at the moment.

Good morning all.
Rolanda, thinking of you. Loosing your Aunt and the worry of your Mother's upcoming operation, not an easy time.
Heidi, one drama after another. Wishes for some drama free days! Sorry about your friend.
Liz and Julie hope both of you are recovering quickly.
Vici, thinking of you and your friend.
Brenda, how does it feel to be home to the cold weather? Pleased you had a wonderful holiday.
Great to see Rayray pay us a visit.
It is going to be hot here today. I should be out pushing the sliddy thing around but this is more interesting! Luv you all!

Wednesdays question, after holding an almost dead moth "how do moths do a poo?"......and I have to come up with a sensible answer.

Suzy, just meant to say, start charting her headaches, there might be a pattern to them...maybe they are cluster headaches.

To everyone else, know that I am sending you all loving thoughts, take from them what you need and share them around ♥♥♥

I gave a different answer. Most moths do not eat, so should not have a reason to 'poo'. They eat and grow as grubs spin their cocoons and emerge as moths , lay eggs and die in a few days. That is the story I gave Laura anyway.

Which gives rise to that old saying...

If you don't eat, you don't sh*t
If you don't sh*t, you DIE!

June, thou art so wise in the ways of rearing grandies.

I'm back from the dentists. My smile looks bootiful. I've got all new bottom front teeth now. The novocain has worn off already, but I'm sore where the shots caused bruising.

Actually, June, quite a few moths feed on nectar. One that comes to mind is the Hawk Moth, a common moth here. They move a lot like a hummingbird, and you have to look carefully to tell the difference.

And Good Morning lovely people -
I read the pages, got interrupted and now have forgotten all.
Thinking of all those recovering (Julie, Lizzy), those in mourning (Rolanda, Vici), those with worries (Nola), those with bad news (Brenda - sad about the Swine Flu death), those with headaches (Suzy's Ally), those with grandchildren's questions (June - I understand), those with spectacular new teeth (Heidi) and those who remember good old sayings (Gail). And a quick check through shows I missed Stella and Broni - so hello to you 2 as well.
Have a good day all. Off to see my Mum today.

Morning everyone. Am so not here.

Me and Mine are heading down to Albany around lunchtime today.
Tomorrow we will be attending the marriage of Peter's cousin Rowan to Nicole.
On Sunday morning, Peter's Aunt and Uncle are putting on a family breakfast for all, after which we head home.

Thank you all for the thoughts prayers for my Tante Rie.
I only met her a few times, I have been to Holland twice, and spent a fair bit of time with her and family on both occasions.
She came to visit us here in Perth, around the mid 80's, I was newly married, and I think it was before I had Robert.
She was amazed that MIL grew oranges in her backyard. She loved those oranges!!
She was always neatly dressed, kept a nice, neat tidy home. She and Oom Lou (he died many years ago), always had time to take you for a drive around the countryside, across the border into Germany for the day, even when O Lou was not feeling the best. Very generous people. I got on extremely well with this (Dad's) side of the family.
When mum last saw her a few years ago, when mum was in Holland, she said then that T Rie's mind was going and her appearance was very ordinary.
I loved her and will miss her.

I just spoke to Julie's husband. She is doing wonderful. She is going to therapy 3 times a day. She is able to get out of bed and walk. She will be going home on Dec 1. Her husband is going to bring his laptop to the rehab facility on Sunday (Monday down under). She should be able to stop by and say hello to everyone.

Brenda, sorry to hear about the student. It is hard to understand. When I was in my last year of high school, one of my classmates drowned 9 weeks before graduation. The entire class was devastated.
