It is still 33 outside my front door. Still cool in the house though.I have has Laura for the weekend and they have just taken her home. With the silly season starting we have two "Christmas" lunches this week. Tomorrow and a Harbour Cruise on Wednesday. I will not have Laura now till next weekend. lots of jobs to get done!
Liz, take care!
At this stage she only sent one to her Mother and Aunt! She has spent a lot of time today looking at Youtube and changes from one to another herself. I do not think she is quite up to putting in addresses etc but does know where the send button is.

Evening everyone.. Not long home.
The wedding was great, the bride looked beautiful, as did the bridemaids, the groom and groomsmen.
It was really good to catch up with family members and friends.
The weather on Saturday, not the best, a tad cold, a bit wet...
Today however, beautiful, sunny, not a cloud to be seen, warmer!!

Have just realised I have missed the show
"sunday night" buga buga buga only 2 hours late,
story about Jim Stynes an AFL footy player that has advanced brain cancer, and his efforts to get outback aboriginal kids involved in footy, such a good man, such a shame that he has the dreaded desease......

Morning all!
Thank you all so much for the hugs and kind sentiments. I know the memorial (in 2 weeks) will be a very healing experience.
June - cracked up reading about Laura's new found expertise on the computer! I look forward to a silly e-mail!
Lizzy - speaking of SILLY...I'm with Suzy - you order food out for a while, girlfriend! I was VERY pleased to hear the landlord is onto the deck. It's going to be lovely to have a bigger (and safer) space out the back door.

Rolanda - so pleased your weekend and the wedding was a lovely time.
Suzanne - it's much easier to just LOVE the cold weather like I do...but I do think Tami is a real TROUBLEMAKER! Living up to her reputation.
Tami - sounds like you and Mr. Tami had a wonderful break yesterday...well deserved (despite your nastiness to Suzanne), I'm sure!

June - that bay cruise sounds like a nice way to cool down.
Hoping Perth's and Melbourne's rainy weather it make it your way...and also that the rain puts out those dreadful bush fires. Can't believe they are starting already.
Now that I am in love with the bush, I'm doubly bummed out!

Heidi - what a beautiful way to celebrate Thanksgiving...with your sweet pups! I bought a big turkey, too - but mostly for leftovers and turkey soup as Mike's girls won't be joining us in the mountains until Christmas time.
Gail - can't wait to see that picture...when are you posting it???? What a fun way to let the cat out of the bag!
OK all - sending hugs and love out to the lot of you. Back to e-bay where Karin (Cyn's daughter) has introduced me to a new addiction!

SNAP! Gail talked about a picture that was taken at her family get together where the relative taking the picture, instead of saying, "Everyone say CHEESE" he said, " OK everyone, say 'Nicole's pregnant'" ...well, you can imagine what that photo looked like!

Good Maen everyone. I have been awake since about 6 a.m. Still working on the first cuppa coffee. Read the last 2 pages, can't remember a lot of what I read.
Gail: Photo story, too funny!! That WOULD be quite the picture. I'd like to se the reactions 2 seconds after tho!!!
Re: TTT's phone call from the beach, I've lived in Utah for almost 6 years and she LOVES to rub in the nice weather. I don't mind the cold so much, not a fan of snow. If the situation was reversed, you KNOW I'd do the same to her. We tease each other (sometimes mercilessly) but we know it is because we've been friends since 1984 and love each other a lot. She's a sister to me (and I think she feels the same way).

I am also looking forward to Thanksgiving. We are going to my Sister in law who is a wonderful cook. She is the aunt that took the beasties yesterday. I think aunt and uncle had more fun than the boys. They have 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl. Oldest boy just got married, middle boy is going to law school in Chicago and girl is in first year of college in Boston. They now have an empty nest and it gives them a chance to have kids around. Their dog loved playing chase with the boys.

Morning all!
I woke up this morning and looked outside - everything was still dry. I was disappointed that we hadn't got the forecast rain, but it is so much cooler than yesterday I wasn't going to complain too much. Then I sat down at the computer and heard drop, drop, drop on the roof. It is raining!!!

Have a great day Nola!

I'm off to bed again soon, as soon as the school uniform wash is finished. A little tickle in my throat yesterday has turned into full blown coughing and spluttering today - yuck! Well everyone else has had it so it was my turn...

Good Morning!
Get better quick Suzy. I have been struggling with a 'scratchy' throat for about 6 days but have kept going because of necessity.
I love the cooler day today but so far no rain.
I have done a bit of gardening this morning and now to clean the car as Laura has used pamphlets to tear up to make 'flowers and leaves' I call it a mess. (We are taking people with us in the car today!)
Pleased the wedding went well Rolanda and that you enjoyed the weekend.

Greetings, Sudoku Friends!

It has been a long time since I was able to comment, and equally long since I was able to read comments. I miss all of you and hope everyone is well and enjoying life!

I especially want to thank you, Tami, for checking in by phone with my husband to get occasional updates to share with all of you!

I am behind my unrealistic expectations for rehabilitation and return home, but apparently still within realistic goals, in spite of a 4-day return to the hospital. I am doing well - walked over 450 feet using a walker today. We're trying to re-educate my legs, knees and feet to walk "correctly" (hopefully with no more waddle). Extending the knees' range of motion is the most difficult, but improving. I was told that in a meeting last week, therapists and doctors were looking at Dec. 1 as a possible release date. We'll just have to wait and see - and keep up with the therapy (usually 3 - 4 hours daily). I'm looking forward to a return home and opportunity to get caught up with all of you! MIss you all! Take care and be healthy!
