I had a lovely day today thank you Suzy, thought the weather was atrocious. Gotta love that wet stuff though!
D#1, Chloe and I went out and had a bite to eat before she went to work. She is working the arvo shift for late night shopping.
I think I neglected to mention, she is now managing the store, after only five months working for this retail company.

Suzy, I'll be back in a mo. Have to get the meat out of the freezer but really I just need to walk around. I am sitting on the very edge of my pooter chair, because I can't disturb Nibbles! I have got pins and needles in my legs!!!

Wow! Chloe must have a great work ethic as well as inheriting her mother's smarts... AND she loves gails as much as her mother too.

I heard more about orientation day from Ebob (all my friends, and even people I don't hang out with wanted to see my sister) than I did from Ally! She was decidedly unimpressed.

We were suppoesd to get thunderstorms here today, and yesterday, and the day before. Instead we've had about 3mm of rain and I got to drink coffee sitting outside...

We went to a cafe in Emerald that has recently changed hands...again. It was lovely and warm inside, the rain was coming down sideways in sheets, no alfresco dining today! They must have had reverse cycle heating or something because they didn't have the fire going.

I do!!!

It is freeeeezing inside the house Suzy.
On Tuesday, a girlfriend showed up unexpectedly for a cuppa, and we ended up drinking it out on the balcony because it was much warmer outside than in.
Now it's just cold in and out!

Hello
No it was not 40C in the Perth, maybe where Kezza is it was, she lives about 75 mins east of the city in a country town called Northam.
Our Temps wasnt too bad, not hot, not cold, just okay, overcast !!
We spent the afternoon up in Kings Park, which overlooks the city.

Ahh! Kings Park, Rolanda - lovely place.
Yet another storm for Brissie tonight - like we need it - unfortunately this one is headed in our direction. We've been lucky in our area with the other 2 - plenty of rain - no flooding and no damage. According to the weather website, this one is headed from Beaudesert to Tangalooma which should bring it in a direct path over here.
Hubby is cleaning the BBQ in case we lose power.
Wish us luck!

I hate bad storms - I need my Mummy!
Unfortunately, she can't help me in her state - and her care home is in the direct path as well.

Heidi, heidi, if we had a new page every time you timed out or could not open your million and one smilies, we would be on page 38654987 A new page can only cure slow loading of this page, when it is only this page that is having the problem. I got some under construction notices on outer pages this last week, not sure what is going on.

someone mentioned the other day they had an equal sign in a post that timed out. I had a real problem when I tried typing my own smiley faces, the ones we really old timers used in the dawn of technology. they have keystrokes in them thatis rejected by the site, so they will not upload. Ii was using the greater than and less than symbols, and would time out all the time.
anyone think Heidi might have been pulling my leg just a bit??? New, not Heidi.

Wehn I first saw that Heidi ws going to an auction in Alabama, I ws wondering if there might be the first south east meeting . Then I thought how incredibly busy she would be at an auction. Lastly, read she is not coming to our state. ONE DAY, maybe.

OH SUZY, thank you so much for the article. that sounds promising, but does it mean I do not get to wear my hats? getting fond of hats and on occasion I might need a really good excuse for wearing them.

do you know if Associate Professor Diona Damian of the University of Sydney is MD? researcher? and who published the article?

Gail, I have talked to my kitty, Scooter, and we came to understanding she is allowed on the computer tower ( daddy has to clean it more often) if she proceeds in a lady like manor, and she is not to lie on my hands, keyboard or get in my chair. Well, if it is a real kitty cat emergency and she would wilt and wither without immediate mommie love, she can ask nicely and i will stop for snuggle time hehehe.

Does anyone get as tired of my hehehe as i do sometimes? I am a touch typist and do not like to stop to insert the smilies. I told ya what happens when I try keystrokes to make my own, page times out. nothing left but hehe or (giggle.)

I thin Gath might be having a few issues all round.

June, you are a legend in my eyes.
I know you can handle heaps...so can I send you my 'C' list???
If I had a vote, I would have said no mention of the C word till 1st Dec, but those who want to say it, go right ahead. I certainly don't have to think about it till then. This year I have Rena and Amber as my excuse for not thinking about it till they leave!

Pleased to hear that the dandy/arnie is doing well, he was a very lucky bird to be found by you.
Well done with the weight loss Liz. which Weight watchers scheme are you using counting points or core? Most of my family are using the core system (though we do not attend meetings) I have lost
38lb since starting it in August

I have a problem with Callie pinching my seat, so now since I have finished work and not having papework all around me she is welcome to the desk chair as I am sitting on the sofa with the laptop on my knee. Trouble comes when she decides she wants a cuddle and wants to lie on my lap to go to sleep.
