Steve has an accent and he didn't move to the US until about 25yr.He is now 35 and we are amazed at how his accent has developed.Maybe he wants to fit in with crowd.

You have to talk with an accent to be understood Nola. And it's the new words that do it too. When you use the American word for something, you tend to say it the American way.

Nola, I agree about learning a lot about the world. My sons look up all the places on the globe and online to find out about the different countries. I have a big list of places I would love to visit someday. If I ever have the money to travel, I have lots of friends to visit.

I layed down for awhile but nothing on tv to put me to sleep.

There is so much to see in this world though that is available to see online.Miztricia's flight over the christmas lights would have delighted me.

I find that we tend to neglect the wonderful things close to us. It's almost as if they can't be too wonderful as they are right here.

Very True,I am still in awe that Renae(daughter) had her twins and they are perfect.That son has his family of three boys and we couldn't wish for better partners for them both.
We are truly blessed to live in a country free of wars,available medical aide and safe in our own homes.I really count my blessings and do thank God for looking after us.Getting too sentimental now.

again. I never got my nap..... had to feed hay to my heifers and to my neighbor's steers. Then fed all the rest of the critters except the dogs. The turkey has about 1/2 hour of cooking left and is turning a lovely shade of brown.

Nephew rang to tell us he popped the question and she said yes, am so happy for them

Then I get to my girlfriends house and her daughter has news, she announces she will marry her man, and then tells us they are expecting a baby, Well tears of joy for the whole room,
we are so happy for them.

Dizzy, sounds like you had a lot of good news for Christmas. I am going to my nephew's engagement party on Sunday. He will be getting married in August to a very lovely young lady. He is the oldest of the kids and the first to get married.

I had some good news. Remember those neighbors who got a couple of horses (and no land) and asked to rent some of my property for the horses? I pretty much let them use it for free, so they told everyone they knew that I was wonderful.
They have already realized that there is quite a bit of work in taking care of the horses.... too much for them. The horses left today.
