I'm getting ready to leave to go to the Dentist's. Finally gonna get that broken off front tooth fixed. Otherwise I'd have to start walking around like The Shadow.

Of course, I got a nose bleed 10 minutes ago. I hate those things.

Good afternoon all! There's no way I'm going to be able to catch up, too many pages! Hopefully, there's a summary along the way!

I'm fuming and I just have to let it out. Just got off the phone with the water company. Got the bill on Friday and of course nobody answered the phone all day. The bill was for 10 times the normal amount when we have everyone home, and there's only 3 of us now!($1,100!) I didn't sleep all weekend. We searched to see if there was a leak and there couldn't be because nothing is flooded. I thought maybe the meter had been magnetized and we researched it on the web. Well, when I finally just got through to them, the girl said, "you never made an appointment for a new meter, that's why." I said, what does a new meter have to do with the crazy reading? She said they sent out the crazy bill so we would call them for a new meter!!! I'm home during the day, I don't work, they could have come anytime to replace the meter. The girl didn't think it was a big deal that they gave me a heart attack with the fake bill. I want to kill them!!!

To top it off, I stopped by the insurance company to find out why I got another bill for my new van. They said it was because of the accident Meghan got into 1 1/2 years ago. At the time, our insurance agent said our rates would not go up, because even though she got a ticket, it wasn't her fault the car in front of her turned into her. Our agent retired a couple of months ago and the new agent is raising the rate $80/yr/vehicle!! When I stopped by, they said they weren't really raising our rate, they were just eliminating our 25 year good driving discount! Now I have a migraine headache!

Stella, let me see if I understand this... they wanted you to call them so they sent you an outrageous bill? I'm thinking that phone lines goes both ways..... Yep, I'd be putting my arms down the phone line and strangling the thoughtless person at the end of it.

Hi Suzy! Not too cold here, 35F.(1.66C) It was icy this morning though. I drove Ian to school and he was late. Hubby usually drives him but he took Meghan to the airport at 4:15am to go to Florida to spend some time with her boyfriend and his family.

I called the Public Service Commission to put in a complaint against the Water company. They said I could file one but they didn't seem too concerned. I'd like to see them get a bill like that when they're trying to make ends meet!

Oh, and car insurance companies too!

My husband's great uncle died yesterday. We were close with them since they lived in the house directly behind my in-laws. He caught pneumonia and never recovered. He was the healthy one. His wife had several strokes a few years ago and he was the one who took care of her. Strange thing is, Meghan had a dream about their house yesterday, out of the blue. They weren't in the dream, but her friends from college were going into the house and she was warning them on how steep the steps were inside.

I've had friends call to complain about companies here and have a similar kind of response Stella. It makes you feel powerless against the 'big guys' doesn't it?

Stella, I'm so sorry about your husband's great uncle. Meghan's dream was weird too.

I met my great aunt just before chrissie. She is 96 and lives alone, but her daughters visit or take her somewhere every day.

Hi, Stella, sorry to hear about your hubby's great uncle! Thoughts and prayers are with his wife, your hubby and his family and all relatives. My deepest sympathy! I'm also aghast at the water department's attempt to get customers' attention. Have they never heard of sending a letter or making a phone call?

Things will be crazy the next few days. I'm not sure if I'll get back in here until our Thursday, but will try.

Back from the Dentist's. Wanna hear a good one? I still have my repaired tooth in! When my Dentist did her exam, she found that the other front tooth is also cracked, but it's visible only on the palate surface. Both front teeth need crowns. She didn't have enough time scheduled today, and she actually said that my repair job was about as good as any temporary she could put in. I go back tomorrow morning for serious work.

Our girls are spending the day with friends today so I think hubby and I should do something. The problem is it's going to be so hot there isn't that much that would be noice to do. I s'pose we can go eat somethin'.
