well, hello friends. wey too myuch excitement going on. i spent a good 40 min catching up. you all need to quit providing all the entertainment for the site. you in particular heidi.

Mariana - boy do I know that feeling! Didn't think it would ever get better, but I now only forget which story goes with which name about 60% of the time instead of the usual 100%. Of course that gradually increases as time goes on!

every saturday the kids get a few chores. you would not believe the excuses they come up with. they are so lame. a favorite is "it's not my mess!" or if they are feeling especially nervey "why aren't you working?" when i give them my list (i too love a list!) they never want to trade with me. my main job on sat. is making sure they get all their jobs done. tat is the worst of all! i'm hoping someday they will thank me that they know how to keep a clean house. uggh. they could get their jobs done by 11 and then we could go have fun. instead they choose to ignore my very fine bribes, complain all day until i am a very mean mommy, then they finally get the last chore done just befor dinner. uggh! not looking forward to tomorrow.

I need to go and get myself ready aswell, just saw the time, have to be out the door in an hour.spent the afternoon doing the ironing, and in here chatting and the puzzles of course.
Of to my sisters for the first annual family dinner, siblings (and other halves) only since the parents have both passed away.
So will be interesting to see if we can spend an evening together without an argument.

well, here i am all alone. i got the place to myself. what kind of mischief can i get into. this could be good. i was telling my sister about how much fun i have been having here playing sudoku and meeting all of you. my niece was in the room and said "i thought only old people played sudoku. like grandpa." i had to admit that many of my new pals are grandmas, but certainly don't seem "old." and not everyone here is a grandparent. she asked who was my age? i came up with angie, and maybe suzy. she has kids the same age as mine. i felt pretty good about coming up with names so quick. she said i needed to get out more!

Hello, Everyone in SA5! I had a really lovely message almost ready to send, but lost it somehow. It's so nice to read a few pages of comments. Mamacita did an excellent job of reviewing recent events! Good wishes to MizT for all to go well with medical issues, bank issues, and birthday for Mr. T. Happy Bday to him, Mamacita's daughter, one of my brothers and one of my BILs - all on Sept.7!

Will have trouble getting back here for a few days, as family is arriving in about 8 hours. I better try to get some sleep! Good night and good weekend!

Ruby, because Dino's hosp visit has rolled over to the weekend, I am sure one of her daughter's will be picking her up. They all had to work during the week so that is why she availed herself of my offer.
I am sure she will be fine, she already has the diagnosis, the tests are just to see at what stage she is. She was in good spirits when I left her and as I said to her, my motto is 'No news is good news'!

Suzy, I read about the sentence yesterday and saw a pic of her for the first time. She's a nasty looking piece of work!

Rolanda, thank you, I hope the same thing. I am sure it is 'one of those things' that is going around but it is a little distressing to hear that he has a severe headache, is nauseous and has been given a plethora of drugs by the doc.
For those who haven't 'met' my son, he is 24 and lives about twenty minutes away with his lovely girlfriend (who I call DIL), so I get all my info from hubby who son and DIL work for and from communicating with son on the pooter.

Mariana, I too know the ALL day to get the jobs done routine, and I hate it with a passion. I made up a sheet last weekend "We Don't Have a Maid" aimed at improving their everyday habits so there isn't as much to do on the weekends!

It's funny you mention age Mariana because we have just been to netball presentation night. One of the mothers was asked if she's going to play in the over 35s next year - she said she isn't old enough. Turns out she is 32 - the age I was when I had Ally, who goes to school with her eldest!! Boy did I feel good - not.

Gail, hope your son is okay, and that DIL is a good 'nurse'.

I think I'll come over on Chinese Pork night this week.

DIL is a dear but unfortunately, some of the myriad of medicines they got were for her!

Had a nice night last night and a sleep in this morning. Laura came back today and then went with her father to visit friends for dinner. She was to sleep at home again tonight but decided she wanted to come back here.
I was looking forward to having a free night, as feel a bit of a cold coming on.
Sharon is at a stage that she needs to pass wind and the pressure was building up and she was in quite a lot of pain. They have taken away the oxygen but she is still on the drip and nil by mouth. One the wind situation is overcome she should improve quickly but at this stage I cannot see her coming home on Monday.
I will of to bed soon with hot lemon, brandy and a couple of aspro. I have to keep well and look after myself.

Father's Day here tomorrow. Have not really had time to do much shopping. Will have roast beef for lunch.

And Sharon has a book of sudoku to keep her occupied!
