Hi Sandra, sorry I missed you moving in. Good to see you posting.
Is 'chilly' in Oaxaca like chilly here in Queensland. ie Not Hot! Chilly here is anything below 18 deg C.(60 deg F)?

Well,Grass-hopper it has been down to 45F and that is very cold for Oaxaca. Coldest we can remember in the four years we have lived in here. It seemed warmer this morning so we are hoping it is on the upswing. And thanks for the welcomes everyone.

Hi Sandra! Welcome to Sudoku! I am a graduate of KU. I now live south of a very small town south of Salina on a farm. So glad you made it back to be with your dad, sorry you had to make the trip. I am a die hard KU basketball fan.

Sara Beth, Yes, Daddy was also a die hard fan - friends with all the coaches, probably cut their wives hair. Some of my family (Corns, Bells, Saunders & Whittingtons) still live outside of Baldwin and Lawrence. I'm sure I've been where you live on the Sunday drives we used to take 65 plus years ago. 'Let's go for a ride and get lost' was a typical request on Sunday afternoons. I can never smell shale without thinking of the KU hill across from my Grandparent's home in Lawrence.

Hi Sandra. Sorry I did not get here to welcome you when you first arrived! I see from the previous posts that you must have lived in Kansas at one time. So did I! My husband attended KU in 1982-83 when the Navy sent him there to get his Masters in Petroleum Management. We lived on Wellington Drive & became big KU fans before he got orders to Puerto Rico. We'll always have a soft spot in our hearts for the Jayhawks!

Sandra, just dropping by to let you know you and your family will be in my prayers. I deeply hope you get to be with your mother as she prepares to journey home--I know first-hand how important it is to have those precious moments with people you love so much. Be safe and take comfort in knowing that your mother will be welcomed home by loving hands.

The time with Mom was wonderful although exhausting. She is home from the hospital, alert and knows all her many descendants although that is where her awareness of the world sort of stops. She is happy and cheerful. We are thankful for her continued health!

Prayer works! After my trip to Michigan this spring to be with my (101 yr old) Mom as she was in the hospital with a urinary tract infection, it looked like she would have a catheter for the rest of her life! However, this strong Kansas woman has managed to get rid of that catheter. Actually, she kept pulling it out and my sister/caretaker, decided to see if she could do without it. Ta Da! Success.

Sandra, first of all, I agree 100%, I do have beautiful babies. Not bragging, just the facts. Though, they are not so little anymore, for some reason Sudokuland will not accept my pictures any longer, so I think Morgan's baby pictures were the last and that was 4 years ago.
Second, oh, to have all those babies. You are a great woman to take them in, which is not the hard part. I do not think I could return them. My new neighbor does foster care and she has told me how many children have come through her life. Even with troubles these children come to her in, I still could not return them. My darlings may drive me insane and I wish for just a minute to have a complete thought, but I would not give it for the world.
And third, it was two fans, and the thought crossed my mind, about the plug, sadly it was just the fans. In this house, I really do not need them, I think I was just wanting that white noise. I think that is what it is called. Like the fan beside my bed, I maybe freezing at night, but I love my fan blowing on me. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Karen, When I kept the foster babies my children were small and I could never let them think I would give away MY children so we talked almost daily about how wonderful it would be when the baby got his/her real Mommy & Daddy. You can't teach kids something like that and not take it into your heart too. So we always celebrated when a baby went 'home.' My children are now all lovely, sensitive adults with large hearts!

Just in case you don't check in later to see how comments you've made might be answered:
Sandra, try unclicking 'Clicking the playing grid places the current number' and use the method of choosing an empty square and tapping the correct number on your number pad. Once you get used to it, that goes much faster.

Often, but not always is the Easy picture too big to do as a jigsaw. Yesterday's picture of a Japanese entry way featuring a Bonsai tree makes a really interesting jigsaw. I don't know why so many don't work, and Gath doesn't seem willing to put in the time to fix it.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for adding your thoughts to my Sudoku page. With regards to Marijuana, I have never tried it and never will. I am an ex-smoker and I am too afraid that someone might spike the dope with tobacco!!!!!

Hi Sandra, if you are having trouble viewing stuff on the internet, my suggestion is that you download a more recent version of Java. Hopefully, that will fix your problem.

Hi Aimee, yes, we get a couple good shakes a year. The worst one was a few years ago and we had time to get out of our chairs and stand in an archway as I have read that is the strongest part of a building. This one woke us up but wasn't particularly scary. No new cracks in the cement structure apartment building we live in.

Thank you Sandra, the only reason I have said much on the Sudoku site is the fact that I have been getting up during the night, and what else is there to do but do the Sudoku puzzles. In general I am in very good health for my age and once I get rid of these pains in my shoulders and arms I will be OK again. I am OK in the daytime.
