rainy fall day here near Chicago with Thanksgiving menu being planned - planning to cook up the bird this weekend - early, I know, but as my sons eat hot sausage instead on the actual day - thought I could get a little turkey in - enjoy your time on the site, Mary

I know what you mean about fall! I love Spring and Autumn - they are our best seasons. I always resent it when I have to be inside doing housework when the sun is shining. Hubby complains about mowing the lawns - wish he would iron and wash up instead - sitting on the mower for an hour would be lovely!
Keep in touch.

can't believe all the Christmas tress up around town -- hope your Thanksgiving was nice, I worked today so missed the "black Friday" deals -- I don't have horses, but I do model horse collecting - I have over 300 horses - maybe more - I don't count LOL --- I use to show them, but have not been very active in the past year -- I'm on a buying freeze right now - was hard at first, but doing well now -- enjoy your day, Mary

I love theme Christmas trees, but never thought of GWTW. You were talking about tree topping, but how will you decorate the tree?

It's nearly time for the jolly fat man to do his thing! Wishing you a very Merry, safe and peaceful Christmas!
Do you have snow in your neck of the woods? I know it's Christmas when the strawberries and cherries come into the shops! Different hemisphere, but the spirit is the same - all the best to you and your family! :)

Hi Tennesseegma!
Yes, I am part of a Messianic Fellowship here in Detroit, MI area. I also teach middle school kids there, so any ideas in working with that age group are much appreciated! Also enjoy Precepts Bible study which is out of Chattanooga, Tennessee!

Hi Tgma! In response to your questions, I am a Gentile YeshuaLover. Our congregation is led by Jewish Rabbis who also love Yeshua! see www.shema.com Have always had this strong desire to learn more about the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith; what an awesome journey! Let me know if there is a website for those clubs you talk about. Kids can use lots of positive influence esp. now in Detroit with the hi unemployment.

Hello GmaJackie - sorry it's taken me so long to visit and thank you for your lovely comments about my photos. Things are a bit hectic here and if I don't reply straight away, they seem to get lost.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and the weather was kind to you.
Just about to go to my daughter's place for a barbeque tea.
Cheers

GmaJackie - boy do I know the frustration of dial-up! When we moved from the coast to the mountains, we went from DSL to dial-up. After having had the broadband for years, it was quite a shock! A few years ago they finally got DSL to us (not as fast as broadband, but it will do)
Cheers!

Hi Jackie, I didn't realise that my message hadn't reached you. Sorry about the mix-up.
Wazza sends his regards, & is dreaming of a revisit. (We will have to do some serious saving first though) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & thank you so much for your hospitality. It is the little extras that make a holiday so special.

Hi Jackie
Would love to meet up if you make it to Hobart. We should be home all February unless something unexpected crops up. Amelia and Bill called in at Easter on their tour of Tasmania and as you say it is great to meet up with other members of the Sudoku family.
Send us a message when you have definite plans.
Cheers

Hi Jackie, I am based in Melbourne now, but my father is in Adelaide, and I have not been back to see him all this year. Hopefully, I will get the chance to in January, the month holds a special significance for my family and I like to try and be there with him. I was wondering, if I am able to make it, we could possibly meet up for a coffee while we are both there.
Best wishes.

Jackie, I so hope we get the chance to meet when you are in Oz. Do you have any idea where you will be going to? I noticed the post about SA. I'm next door in Victoria, so if you're heading this way, please let me know. There's a great mob over here who would love to meet you.

I do hope you remembered to add a yam to that pumpkin when you made your pie. These pumpkins are not grown for flavor, but for jack-a lanterns.

I like butternut pies, but I always add candied yams to them. I use can ones. However, my hands don't work well anymore, so crusts are difficult.

Gma I saw a comment from you the other day that mentioned you grew up in Northeastern Ohio & were a fan of all the Cleveland teams - Browns, Indians, Cavaliers, etc. What years were you there? I was born in Cleveland in 1946 & lived there until I went away to college in 1964. My dad was the infield announcer for the Cleveland Indians for many years & for the Cleveland Cavaliers for a couple years.

Oh, I do hope you have a wonderful trip.
If I did not spend so much time on this site, I know I would not have met Sue. If this was FB, there would have been no way, I would have met up with Sue, especially by myself.
That is alright, because I have come to care deeply for a great many of the Sudoku people and if I want to meet them and are able, you bet your great fanny, I will do that. I cannot think of anyone, I might have second thoughts about at the moment.
Hubby and MIL are known to have long conversation with strangers in person. I would think that is more dangerous, than what we do. At least we have some idea of who we are talking to.

Haven't been around the site much over the last year... family circumstances and whatever but I am glad that I at least caught this bit of news. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Hi Jackie..
I haven't been around much over the last 14 months... health and family issues. I have been dropping in most infrequently and usually seldom long enough to catch up on much. There are so many of us on Facebook now that it is easier to keep in the loop with all the hatching, matching and dispatching. Such an involved community we have here in Sudokuland. I hope you enjoy your time downunder.
