We've all had our bad hair days, but have you ever had a bad ear day? Domino, a German Shepherd clothed in a temporary puppy suit, experienced about a month of bad ear days until they finally stood up properly like a big dog's ears!

Hi Stella,
Thanks for the welcome. You don't live far from me. I live east of North Adams, MA, in a cabin in the woods with my dogs (my weakness are my German Shepherd Dogs). I envy you living near the horses! Sudoku led me to this site, but it appears there are lots of nice people, too.
Thanks, again, for the welcome!

Hi Beast, and welcome to your own special Sudoku space! I have a traditional gift of a double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry for you as a page warming gift, and for the future bride and groom (Mala and Domino) I'll leave some beef chewies. As Stella may not see your response to her, a hint for you: reply to people by clicking on the 'Check out my page' feature by their names. Nice to have you on site, and I like your photos and your dogs!

Hi, Beast! to your new page! We're glad you've found us here. It's a great group of caring people - and a few curmudgeons to spice things up. Here are a few daylilies from our yard - only a few because the deer who pass by usually enjoy them before we see them. I'm also leaving a big box of Frango Mints on the table for you and your guests to enjoy.
Your dogs are beautiful! (I see Mala likes her partner to be a bit younger.) I hope everything works out between her and Domino.
Since you have admitted to be a Sudoku-aholic, I'd like to invite you to visit 'our' page. In the middle top of the page, click on 'Clips.' More than half-way down the page you will find the heading 'Conversations.' Click on 'Sudokuaholics Anonymous 2.' There are frequent posters there from Eastern and Central US time zones, as well as various time zones in Australia. There are busy times, when 4-7 people are all there at the same time, and times when we go hours without a comment. Try us out when you can! And to your page.

Welcome, Beast. I am bringing you some fresh squeezed Florida orange juice as a welcome gift. I always thought that German Sheperds are a beautiful dog, but never had one. My husband had one when he was growing up. We don't have a large house or yard so we keep our dogs on the small size. Beau was a 6 lb Yorkie and Rachel is a 25 pound mutt. I would love a sheperd if I ever had the yard space for it to run in.

Beast, you are going to find lots of friendly people on this site. Rachel, by the best guess, is part Chihauhau(face) and part Dachsaund(body). It is an interesting mix. She is getting ready to go to grandmas for a few days while we go away.

Wow, you've had alot of visitors since the last time I was here. You seem to be getting into the swing of things on Easy. I don't think I've been to North Adams, but it is fairly close to me. We've gone skiing just north of there in Vermont several times. Now we do most of our skiing at Smuggler's Notch, VT. Have fun visiting all of the various pages! Take care.

Hi folks--Greg asked me where I got the name
Beast. Here's the story:
Years ago, during one of my many second childhoods, I had a lovely little car, a Toyota MR2. I named it 'Babybeast' because it was so little and was a beast to start and drive in the snow! When Babybeast finally went to MR2 heaven, I could not let the name die, so I now use it for email, web site ID's, etc. I would have used it here on this site, but I could not use so many letters, so it got shortened to Beast. So now you have it! My real name is Mary, but I love all beasts and critters, so Beast is sort of a part of me...

Hi Beast, This is my second effort to welcome you to the site, hopefully the gremlins will not get this comment. Your dogs and the story behind your screen name are just great. I welcome you here and hope you enjoy as much as most of us do. Please feel free to visit my page and meet my family, both human and four legged members. I'm leaving you a basket of goodies that made Philadelphia famous, steak sandwiches, soft pretzels, scrapple, Philadelphia cream cheese, and Franks orange sodas...hope you enjoy!

Hello, Beast!
Welcome to the site and congratulations on your own page. Although I officially live in Florida, we have a home in Freetown, MA, too, where we lived until last December. I was excited to see another MA person on this site. Are you a Red Sox fan? Next week, I'm flying down to Tampa to see the games there--it is easier to get tickets and the cost is less even with the flights figured in!!!

Beast thanks for the visit. To answer you question I have more pictures of the girls than most could bear to sit through. Unfortunately the early pictures of Kala are all 35mm as are many of the early ones for Sky. I just don't have the time to scan them.

Your dogs are beautiful! How old is your young man now?

Hi Beast, Thanks for the visit and the kind words about my family and recognizing the importance of our four legged children. I'm always happy to meet appreciative animal lovers on this site, and there are many. I think folks who value animals, even if they have none of their own, are just a little nicer to each other.
Hope you come again, and tell me a little more about your family and yourself.

G'day Beast! Many thanks for the tip about mothballs vs mice. I will certainly try that. Luckily I quite like the smell of mothballs - it always takes me back to childhood. Let's hope my uninvited visitors don't. Thanks again, Kate

Gday Beast. How very rude of me, I know I've visited before because I remember looking at your photos but I don't see my calling card anywhere. Your dogs are gorgeous. Those ears!
Well, I'm here now and I've brought you a bottle of Aussie bubbly, a plate of nibblies and an invitation to drop in to my page anytime. Take a stroll around the garden, find a seat in the shade and meet my family. Hope to see you there.

Welcome to this great site, Beast! thought I had left a message before, but perhaps I put it on the main page. Like you, I love animals - often prefer them to the 2-legged race! Have left you a bottle of St Joseph (red wine) and a chunk of Auvergne cheese. Hope your dogs like the Markies?!? I'll try to get a photo of my Kelshie-dog on my page, soon.
