I love this line,"And all this science I don't understand. It's just my job five days a week" from Elton John's "Rochet Man", see my youtube. That line is so me.

G'day vdV. Many thanks for your nice message about Liz's cochlear implant. All is going well and every day she is getting more used to it. There's quite a learning curve involved as the processor gets adjusted over a period of 6-8 weeks to keep in tune with her brain interpreting these new sounds. So far so good though. Best wishes, Kate (Tree Sheila)

vdV...I'm flying by my pants as I do a fly over to say thanks for the well wishes during my hubby's illness and to let you know that I miss the levity and fun that has been a part of the SA pages. I'm looking forward to a return in the near future and wanted all to know that you are in my thoughts. Peace.

Thank you, vdV, for your comments regarding my computer puzzlements! I definitely have a love/hate relationship with my computer (actually, more love than hate), but it certainly helps to get tips from the experts! I will be very interested to see what happens this coming weekend when our time officially changes. I may even stay up 'til 2 am to watch!

Thanks again, for your advice and encouragement! (I don't know if I have the guts to try the DOS defrag. As I mentioned, I know my computer's on borrowed time, and I hate to do anything to rock the boat!)

Thanks for letting me know...I'm devastated! I suppose, even to a pilot, it's impossible to be in two places at the same time. Maybe we can fit in a drink before Chrissy somewhere more local to us.
Hope to catch up with you soon,
Gail

Gday mate, you were sadly missed. OK, I'll ask, what's the reference to the sore tongue mean! Is that an assumption we'd be talking all the time or me biting mine?
Had a great time, met Cazablanka, Rosemary and Col.
Howzabout meeting up for drinkies with Caz and me soon?

Gday Steve, just flying by to wish you and your family all the very best for 2008. Have fun while you are away. I know when you'll be back but not when you were leaving. So on the off chance you may see this, BON VOYAGE and safe travels.

By my reckoning, the first Friday is the 11th. How does that sound? Maybe lunch at the airfield? Or a barby somewhere central and good for the kids. What's your thoughts?
