Hey Greg...thanks for the visit!!! Yes, I am getting excited. Probably more excited than nervous now. The waiting is a bugger though. I think it's worse when it's not actually you that's going to go through it. I have a greater respect for males who are the partners of pregnant women. Dealing with the hormonal mood changes and the helplessness of 'what should/can I do to help'. I have learned that it's best to just ask what she needs/wants to be done and get on with it whether it seems unnecessary or not.....lol.....

I should add I have insight now into both sides of the situation and it isn't easy on either side. The birth I have yet to witness from a spectators/supporters point of view...

Thanks for the pavlova Deb> I've heard of it, but never had it before. Nice pictures on your site. Nice to see you!

I just want you to know that I've been thinking about you a lot lately, Deb. Being a grandmother is GREAT, and I'm sure that you will do a wonderful job of it! It's all the fun and wonder of being a mother without all the rules and worry! The bond you will develop with this little girl is so unique ... there is nothing else like it. The quiet time when you are snuggling, or the carefree walks out discovering the world, will mean so much to Kiarah. You will hold a very special place in her heart and in her world. I'm getting excited along with you! God bless you all. XO

Hello Deb, just popped in to say thanks for visiting me and leaving some goodies. You have been busy. Enjoy your week off and the excitement of the arrival of Nicole's baby. I know what it's like, I think I was as nervous and excited as my daughters were. It's a wonderful thing being a grandparent. I'm so looking forward to Christmas when I will be spending time with four of mine.
Thanks for the wine, how did you know what my favourite was?

Deb, thanks for dropping by, and Merry Christmas to you also!! You and your family are absolutely stunning. If I didn't have an inside clue, I'd never be able to tell the mother from the daughter (or if this a piccy of siblings) as you are so beautiful. Cheers, my dear! I leave this bottle of champagne for you and ''your Mark'' to enjoy! ... and I do mean.... ENJOY!!!!

Thanks for the yummy Christmas fare, Deb. My Christmas pudding is quietly maturing (I made it 3 weeks ago) and will be ready for sharing soon. Please come and try some when you get the chance. I hope all goes well with the baby's birth. My predicted date was the 19th - the birthday of my twin grandsons. You'll LOVE grandparenthood, having that gorgeous little girl to spoil!

Deb - I have been so busy with our big ceiling project I haven't had much time for Sudoku puzzles or posting. But wanted to thank you for passing on Cathy from SA's birthday wishes. You mentioned her daughter was in the hospital - is she better now? Is Cathy a Supporting Member? I couldn't find a page for her so I could write directly to her. Please tell her I said thanks for thinking of me & hope she is well.

Today is Dec. 12. This must be a newly posted picture of three beautiful smiling faces! It could be an ad for toothpaste or something - what great teeth! How long is your drive to get to where Nicole is going to deliver her baby? Will you get to be in the delivery room? If so, you are in for a real thrill, so much more exciting than giving birth yourself! Like Judy, I am thinking of you daily & waiting to hear your happy news soon (preferably on Dec. 15, my guess!)

Deb, I hadn't heard of Nicole's symptoms being precursors of labour - I checked with two of my Delivery Suite colleagues, and while we agree they are both signs of hormonal change, we don't think you can predict labour starting from them. Sorry, it'd be nice to know when, wouldn't it?

Hi Deb, just checking by to give Nicole good wishes. It must be soon- tomorrow morning 7am?? I'm stil sticking with that!
Oh- here's a bottle of homemade lemon cordial - I've been making bottles and bottles of it this week to give to friends and colleagues at Christmas, I bought a box of lemons form the market on Sunday.

Congratulations on the new arrival. I hope Nicole is doing ok after the long ordeal. The same thing happened to me with my first. Get plenty of rest, the fun part is just beginning. I'm sure you'll be a great help to her. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! BTW, I guessed the 16th, but I didn't think the baby would be that big. Best wishes.

Deb - Just want you to know that amid all the happiness & relief surrounding Kiarah's birth I'm pretty sure there is also some disappointment, too. I understand how hard it is for a mother to go through hours & hours of labor & then have to have a c-section instead of a natural delivery. Poor Nicole just had to be so tired & discouraged after such a long labor. Also, I know from my own experience with my daughter that it was a let down for you to miss out on being in the delivery room. Thank goodness holding & cuddling that precious new baby will cheer both of you up considerably, especially after you've caught up on some sleep!! I'm really happy for you, Grandma. to all the family.

Hi there Deb, I checked out your pics and Kiarah is beautiful. She has obviously done well in the womb, No wonder she was quite happy to stay there.

For Christmas Just thought I’d drop you in a bottle of home made LEMON CORDIAL. It’s fantastic with water and with soda water. Cheers.

1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off the heat and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven ) bottles
