Dixieland or Dixie is a name for the southeastern portion of the USA. I did not find a reason why it is called Dixie. I found this on Wikipedia. This is one of my favorites. We lived in Memphis from 1970 to 1979, I was able to go to 2 of his concerts during that time, the last one was when he had gained the weight but he could still sing.

Hello Sue - just browsing through the member's list and I see someone from Shannon Noll country has joined the rank of members. I've never been to NSW but travelled on the Indian Pacific years ago with a lady from Dubbo who was the local school bus driver. When I arrived home I sent her a postcard from Albany with just her Christian name and 'school bus driver', Dubbo, and she received it.
