One of my better attempts posing with a statue.  All I can say is that it's lucky for anybody seeing it that there's no audio.

Youtube- Julian Bream and John Williams playing my favorite piece of music, Claire de Lune, by Debussy.

It's hard to tell which one was worse, his playing or my voice.

Good to see you had a good time in BC, you visited several of the places I got to see a few years back. Welcome back, don't worry about the weight you gained or even the weight you want to loose with patience it will come off. Worry creates stress and stress creates pounds. Looking forward to your pictures.

Welcome home Keith. Thank you for being my 100th comment! Looking forward to having my own redwood in amongst our mountain ash. Should fit in a treat.
Your weight gain over your holiday was minimal considering you weren't trying to be good. You must feel better for having lost the 21 pounds total.
Fantastic!

Are you kidding? Arthur is the coolest! Lovely yard you've got there, Keith. Should be plenty of room for those of us flying in for the parade ...

Keith, I understand the difficulty you must have faced choosing from such a fabulous array of pictures from a beautiful country. Its great that you and Lynne had a chance to get away and had a great time.

Beautiful vacation pictures, Keith. Banff is a beautiful place. I got an email advertising Whistler (for skiing) just after I was hospitalised with a blood clot. AAARRRGGGG!!!

Hello Keith - I've just been browsing through your latest photos and I can see why Canada is such a popular tourist destination. The scenery is magnificent. I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.

Keith, from a work perspective it's too soon for me to commit for October, as I still travel some. Are you in a tour package or will you be in a rental car? Anyway, Montreal is only a few hours from Ottawa. I hope we can work something out. It would be fun to meet you in person.

Thanks again for the comments about enjoying my pictures.

Weigh in report for week 27, I lost 3 pounds this week, so I'm back going in the right direction. I'm having an awful time with the whole idea of changing my lifestyle. It is so easy to drift back into the old habits.

Ah, Banff. Haven't been there since I was a teenager. Beautiful photo, Keith. Which lodge did you stay in? We're thinking of heading out there this winter to ski ...
Would love to move to that area when we retire, but yikes, the real estate costs are astronomical.

Hi Keith. I'm sure we can work something out given you will be in Montreal on the weekend. I would come to you in Montreal (2 hour drive ) as I'm sure you have enough expense in this trip already. Maybe get together for a brunch or dinner on either the Saturday or Sunday. It is still too far away for me to commit, but I'm think we can hook up. Does anyone on the site have your email address?

Please enjoy the Recipee for Fruit/Melon Salad Dressing that I posted last week on the Recipee page. I'm sorry if my posts have annoyed you or anyone else. Maybe I'm dense, but what do 'All the Lady Sudokist know ...'? Maybe you can e-mail them my apology. By the way Dave lives about 7 miles from me. I was looking forward to meeting him and his wife Linda - we have some common friends.

I was considering becoming a member, because I was drawn in by the friendliness of this site. However, if my presence or comments are not wanted, I will abstain. You can let me know on your page what the Lady Sudokist and others you E-mail think. I'll check back in a few days - after I get back from a trip I had to postpone due to pnemonia. I'm about ready to hit the road now.

Keith, I thought I would stop by your place and say Hi! Hope you're having a good day! Here are some flowers to brighten it! Your pictures are magnificent! What a lovely time you must have had. Is your next trip to Montreal? That's not far from me but I haven't been there in years. We've been thinking of going back lately before a passport is required. (too expensive for the whole family to get passports) Visit my page anytime! If you ever want to chat, drop by the SA2 page(under Clips conversations) sometime! Take care!

Eve, the Lady Sudoku was a virtual Cruise Ship that sailed twice, once early in the site's life and again about a year later. I missed the first cruise, but participated in the second. We all assumed ''pen names'' and created the story of the cruise in verse. This was all before personal pages and ''MORE'' topic areas and ''Clips.'' It all happened on ''Easy.'' It drove the nonparticipants up the walls. One of them finally sunk the Lady Sudoku with a torpedo. I wasn't being critical of your or anybody else's verse. They were clever and funny. I hope to connect with Dave sometime when we pass through Grants Pass, maybe you can join us.

Oh Keith, rotties are so intelligent! I don't want to take away from any other breed - but they are just amazing!. Training a new puppy will keep me VERY busy and will help ease the heartache.

Besides being friendly, the people at this site amazed me with their photography. I was further surprised at how many people were good at verse. A lot of bright, fast thinking, people here.

I'm not a poet,
and I know it!

Ooops, Had to let Tipper, my dog, out on the deck to chase a deer away that was eating the 'deer resistant' plants. Usually, I don't want her disturbing the deer while they are drinking or visiting, especially with their fawns. But, eating the plants is a ''no'', ''no''.

I guess,I will join - and try not to be to annoying.

Hi Keith, Thank you very much for the birthday wishes, I had a very nice day. Went to my favorite Mexican resturant, even had dessert 'flan' yum, yum.
Hope you are having a good time on your vacation, beach house sounds like fun.

Hi Keith! We have returned from our short trip to the north where it was almost as hot but not nearly as humid as here in the south. See some comments about your being at a beach house. Where & with whom? Could you fill me in? Isn't retirement great! I almost feel guilty talking about all our trips when there are so many on the site still working. Life is good - enjoy!

Weigh in for week 29, I gained 4 pounds since my last weigh in 2 weeks ago. I suspect most of that happened at the beach house, but in general I'm finding it very hard to maintain this new life style. Old habits die hard. I so love red meat, beer and chocolate, and find all three so hard to resist. I'm not giving up, though.

Hi Keith, just popping in to invite you over to my page now that I've been able to put up a few photos of my garden. I had a bit of trouble putting up the last batch which was going to be pics of the many different and weird fungi on our block. I now have two addictions, this site and photography. Its all so easy! Who knew?
If I'm not in when you get there, make yourself at home, pull up a chair and meet my tribe!

Hi Keith, I am doing well. I was going to send you a message on the new email type thing on our pages, but can only be 100 characters max. Like I am going to keep it that short! You certainly are the traveling man, with some great photos to show for it. I guess I will just have to travel vicariously through you and Lynne! Have a great day.

Keith, I've sat through many an evening of Doc Watson's flat pickin' at the Walnut Valley Blue Grass Festival. He was an annual crowd gatherer and pleaser even after he lost his side man son. He finally gave it up just a few years back. The best I ever saw was him, Dan Crary, Art Eskridge and Dave Bromberg holding a summit meeting on the main stage till well into the wee hours, well after the main program had ended. That would have been about '72 or '73. Those guys just kept it going one tune after another. Kinda turned into a pi$$ing contest and the crowd stayed for the whole thing. If the night air hadn't turned too chilly, I think they would have gone all night. Few people know about him but he is a national treasure. Thanks for putting that up.

Hi Keith - The one with your wife in front, is (if my memory serves me correctly) Athabaska. It has been quite a few years since I was up there. My husband was the photographer - the pictures are all on slides. I remember one of Lake Athabaska with the mountain in the background as the sun was setting at 11:00 (abt June 20th) - the sun rose at 3. Also there was a great picture he took of Bow Lake near Baniff. Every time we drove that hiway between Baniff and Jasper (3 or 4 times) - no matter which direction north or south - as you rounded a curve, you thought it couldn't get any better, and then another breathtaking experience appeared in front of you.

Leo & Doc appeared together a couple of times at Britt - I believe Doc died about a year ago.
Last night was a fun night for the kids with a group called 'Riders in the Sky'. It was National Cowboy Day & 2007 is Gene Autry's 100th Birthday. The group is reminicent of the 'Sons of the Pioneers'. The next 4 weeks at Britt will be Classical (Britt's roots) & Dance.

Keith, You are right, the picture with Lynne is diffinately Athabasca Falls. Your picture and mine are so much alike, almost the same angle. You can compare yours with mine. I added the one I took of the Falls to my page. Did you walk down to the lake where the falls emptys? There are a walkway between the rocks, and at the bottom at the lake I guess, there were rocks placed on top of another. Don't know if there was any meaning behind this, some of them looked almost like people.

This is my 10th year volunteering at Britt, I 'work' about 30 concerts a season. Concerts/job assignments are based upon hours worked the previous season - so I pretty much have my choice of the job I want at whatever concerts I chose to work. It is a nice way to spend the summer.

Weigh in report for week 30: I did better this week and went down 4 pounds again. I still have 6 to go to get back to where I was before I went on the Columbia River cruise, but we're going to stay home for a while, so maybe I'll get there.

Keith, yes I loved the area we spent a week at Jasper, I know there is so much more than what we were able to see. I really don't remember seeing the Inukshuks in the gift shops in Jasper, we were there in 2001, maybe after then or I just didn't see them.
I have seen Paul and Babe twice but I really don't remember just where they are. Of course I did not write information on any of my pictures Help! Where are they at?
I do know you live in a very beautiful area of CA
Keep up the good work on the weight loss, keep positive thoughts that you WILL loose the weight. I have lost a few pounds doing yard work the last couple of weeks, now just have to keep them off.
