One of my better attempts posing with a statue.  All I can say is that it's lucky for anybody seeing it that there's no audio.

Youtube- Julian Bream and John Williams playing my favorite piece of music, Claire de Lune, by Debussy.

It's hard to tell which one was worse, his playing or my voice.

hi there - love your garden, you're lucky to have had a real spring - it's just poured rained here and all the blossom has disappeared. Hope you're well x

Keith, your yard looks great and I enjoyed your classical electric guitar today. Got me surfing YT for other classical, and I did some listening to Malaguena, one of my favorites. I found it in Traditional Spanish and flamingo style (did not know the difference before tonight) and then even on BANJO, and as a ROCK SONG. you lead me to an interesting night of music. To bad I have missed your earlier classical guitar presentations, I shall be on the look out for more. thanks.

Keith, Gus has been a lot of fun since I got him at Christmas. It is VERY tough to find anything to fit him, as you can tell by looking at the mortarboard. His 'robe' was actually two full-size robes zipped together!
For Mardi Gras I had gotten him some beads that came down to my waist, and they barely fit over his forehead.

I really thought I had visited, Keith. my appologies. Of course you mayhave some apple butter to, I did not mean to slight you.

Because you have waited so ong, you get TWO jars! And to help with the weight loss program and healthy eating, I am sending the reduced cal kind, tasts just as good, but only 25% of the sugar, rest is SPLENDA and it worked well, did that for my hubby and he said it was the best I had ever made .

Hi Keith. Just wanted to drop by & tell you I was thinking of you today. Hope you had nice weather there & lots of visitors who came by to tour your beautiful garden. Sure wish I could see it in person instead of just in photos! Will be waiting to hear how it went.

I dropped by to visit your lovely garden. Enjoyed the visit very much. My mother was a very keen gardener and I know how much work is involved when you open your garden to the public. I like a shadey garden as I always think they are so much more relaxing. Love your bearded irises and I also have a 'snow ball'. All my camelias are coming out at the moment.

hi Keith, not sure i've visited your page before. i've been on the fringes, mostly. feel like i already know you. lol. it's like that on this site! lol.
just wanted you to know i checked out your flickr pix. they are great. we loved the columbia river gorge area. made that circle drive from portland to mount hood and back. did it in August and January. wow. what a huge difference. i didn't realize snow could get up to the second floor of buildings! we stayed at columbia gorge in (only 1 nite - cha-ching!) it was fabulous. we also played at multnomah fall, too. (aug, not Jan lol) we left part of our heart in that area. (altho, i left most of my heart in san fran - lol that's my #1 fav city, but then, i wore blinders while i was there and saw only what i wanted to see - lol)

thanks for the pix.

Thanks for all the compliments on my garden. Now the show is over, we can sit back and enjoy it the rest of the season.

Weigh in report for week 23, I stayed the same this week. I'd like to think my focus was on the garden show, but the truth is I just didn't try very hard this week. For some reason, my heart's just not in it lately.

Hi Keith. It is obvious that you and your wife put a ton of work into your garden. Quite enjoyed the virtual tour, although I know it would have been better in person. Enjoyed the electric guitar duet as well. Thanks!

Keith, a little late getting here but wanted to congratulate you on such a pretty yard. I know how much time and labor it takes to keep a yare of this type looking good.
Our blooming season is ahead of yours. All I have in bloom now are daylilies (hubbys)and ornamental lilys (mine). Oh, the columbine are still blooming only because we dead head them.
I know loosing weight is very hard but don't give up, just one day at a time.

You deserve your relax, Keith. Your garden is beautiful and you must have worked like the devil to get it perfect for the day. Give yourself a couple of days to get over the stress and then you will feel more like getting back there.
I've had a bad week, like you, with regards to exercise and have hardly done anything but look after the kids. I need to get back off my butt and going again - we are going skiing in 5 weeks and if I am to get any enjoyment out it I will need at least a modicum of fitness!

Keith, finally was able to stop by and view your photos. I would love to have a backyard like yours. Ours is about half that size and with 70 lb. dog, I can't do much other than a vegetable garden and a few plants in out of the way spots.

Hello Keith - I loved your You Tube today, Classical Gas by Mason Williams, in honour of my poem. I've always loved that piece of music and to watch it and hear it on here was great.
You have a beautiful garden, which reminds me, I was going outside to mow my lawns and pull a few out weeds up. Must make use of the beautiful fine day.
Cheers

Awesome! Wow! Can he fly across the frets! Got another you might like John Doan, he plays a 12 string guitar. Mostly Irish and new age though.

Keith, Hope you and Lynne have a great trip. Enjoy the train ride, Victoria Island, etc. Are you going to Victoria Island from Seattle, WA? If so, then you will leave from near where my daughter, Tasha, and Jeff got married in April. They left from Pier 56 and cruised around the Puget Sound for 3 hours. I am looking forward to some more of your beautiful pictures. Also, Your garden looks so nice all in bloom and how nice to have had it included in the garden tour.

Weigh in report for week 24: I gained a pound this week. My own fault, not careful eating, not exercising, and drank a few beers. Doesn't bode well for the trip, since I gained 9 pounds on my last trip. Oh well. I can only hope I can keep it under control.

Hi Keith. I just saw your post, and I assume you have left already for your adventure in the Rockies. I have never done the train tour, but a few years back I drove the Calgary, Jasper, Banff, Edmonton route and really enjoyed it. Liked Jasper the best, as Banff was too crowded with buses and tourists from everywhere. Found Jasper peaceful and relaxing and stayed there for two days doing out-trips. If you get this, and get to Jasper, do the ski lift ride and you'll be able to see Mount Robson if the day is clear. It's the highest peak in Canada. Enjoy your tour, and let me know more about your planned eastern Canada tour when you have a chance. Cheers!

Gday Keith, I hope you've had a great holiday so far. Just wanted to drop in to say how much I've loved the tour through your garden. Gardening is one of my passions and we were lucky when we moved here five years ago. The previous owners had planted many roses, camellias, magnolias and rhodys which all thrive here in the hills. The planting was very random so we have grouped them into beds with lawn for paths. One day, when my pootering becomes as proficient as my gardening, I'll put photos on my page!

CG, I'll get back to you after I settle in.

The dreaded after traveling weigh in for week 26:
I gained 7 pounds ... not surprising since I didn't try to be good. Actually, it's better than I expected it would be. Now that I'm back home for a while, I'll start whittling away at it again. The way I'm looking at it, I'm still down 21 pounds from where I started this way back on January 2, so, I can't complain.

Re: weigh in. Peaks and valleys, my friend. One day at a time and success will come.
I wanted to tell you that I tried your recipe for sweet and sour short ribs and it was delicious I'll definitely make it again and again. So glad your Mom handed down the recipe and you shared it
Thanks!
