Hi, Ruby! It seems that a couple of minutes is the magic number most days. I left 2 minutes before your post tonight. Other days you post a comment, then someone else posts a couple of minutes later. One of these days, I hope to get to SA at the same time you are there. In the meantime, I hope you are staying as cool as possible and all is well with you and yours! I was away from a computer for a week, and it's quite a challenge to get caught up in the archive! I'm determined to try, though, so I know what has been happening. Take care, and I hope to 'see' you soon!

Hi Ruby, Glad to have had you pop in to see me. The page visits look like the best way to leave messages since we keep missing each other on the SA pages. I did see the Inquirer article when they were first seeking contestants, and since I am a slow solver of all of our mediums and hards, I felt I wouldn't stand a chance and I didn't think any more about it, but wouldn't it be fun to know if any of anyone on the site will be involved? If you don't want to put it on easy, perhaps I will. Let me know. Stay cool! BTW, that rain will never flood that street...one of the guaranteed perks of the picture. Glad you enjoyed my video too.

Gday Ruby, can't believe I've never visited. Haven't been around much myself, generally late Sudoku time is when I come on. How have you been lately. Long time, no catch up! My tribe and I are well at the moment, touch wood. The taxi is running on idle tonight, two of my daughters have requested lifts tonight. Thankfully, they are local drop-offs.
I have brought you a bottle of Aussie bubbly, a plate of nibblies and an invitation to drop into my page anytime. Take a stroll around the garden, find a seat in the shade and meet the family. Love to see you there.

Ruby, To answer your question, there are no class-size limitations about about second grade (or somewhere in the elementary grades). High school would be limited by how many kids could be crammed into a room (I say that only somewhat tongue-in-cheek).
I was getting pretty close to that limit last year with two classes of 37. At least they were PreAP kids, but their behavior is becoming worse every year!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my hubby, Ruby. He got a real kick out of so many comments from all over the world. We were lucky enough to be able to spend the day together and had a very relaxing day of retail therapy and lunching.

Ruby, thank you very much for your birthday wishes for James. It is such a mile stone reaching 'adult-hood'. He has been looking forward to it for weeks now as it opens up so many changes in his life. We will be having a dinner out tonight to celebrate and he will have a party with friends sometime in the future.

Hi,
I really don't want to download anything more. But I wonder why would Google Earth go everything but not Google Maps? For instance, if you search Australia on Google Maps, you can't zoom into details. I have tried lots of countries and the same thing happens. You can only go so far and then details are no longer available. You just do not get the close up view you can get from an airplane. Where as when I go to San Antonio, Google Maps really shows the details, trees, roads, my apartment building, etc.

Hi, Ruby! I haven't been able to spend much time at SA3 lately, and the next 2 weeks will be away from a computer. As I suffer my withdrawal symptoms, I'll be thinking of you and all the other SA regulars. I hope you'll be able to stay a bit cooler and get the rain you need. Just think, it will "almost" be fall by the time I can post again. Take care, and I hope to "see" you again soon!

Hi, Ruby! Since I rarely see you on SA3, I thought I would stop by with some flowers and fresh cinnamon rolls. What a great story about your dentist! (I like mine, too, though he was not a student of mine, but VERY soft-spoken and gentle - even calls later in the day to check on us after a major procedure.) Hope you're having a great day!

Hi, Ruby! I'm SO excited for you! I hope you enjoy your 40th high school reunion as much as my class did! We celebrated in June of last year - probably had 50+ members from a class of about 98. Our small high school has all celebrating classes as the same dinner. Some classes, as mine, did an individual get-together the previous night and a picnic the afternoon of the dinner. Everyone who attended seemed to have a great time - AND their spouses also seemed to enjoy the fun. I hope your reunion is as pleasurable!

Gday Ruby, I just read in SA that you have just returned from your high school reunion. I am pleased you had a good time. One high school I went to amalgamated with another school many years after I left and the other one I went to no longer exists so I doubt there will ever be a reunion to attend! In fact, one of my primary schools closed down too...I wonder if it was me!!!

Hello Ruby! Thanks so much for the warm welcome! The apples are delicious! LOL In return, please accept these apple seeds so you can keep growing and sharing!

I have added some new pics so you can see what my husband looks like. The one you were talking about is Camel, my snuggle buddy!

Hello again! Silly me, I forgot to tell you about us! My hubby is from Kinston, NC and joined the US Navy to see the world. He has been stationed in Jacksonville, NC for most of his career! He is deployed to Iraq for the third time and I have moved back to my home town of Louisburg with the kids while he is gone.

What part of NC did you live?

Ruby just had to make sure that as I crossed the country greeting all of my friends from the SA pages that I made it here to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to check in with good wishes while I was inundated with unexpected surgery and all that entailed with my hubby. Things are going fairly well, but I remain busy and look forward to being able to spend more time on site and catching up with the goings on of those of you that I've grown quite fond..hope all is well and hoping to spend some real time soon. Peace!

Hi Ruby, Callie was fine with fireworks. She slept most of the time. As I can't stand for very long we no longer go to the big display in our town, but there are lots of people round here who have fireworks in their gardens. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Ruby, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.

Ruby, and to let you know that Gath, is aware of the size issue with the 16 x 16, he is currently trying to iron out the other little problems, and will eventually get around to re-sizing the screen for us.
Hope all is well in your side of the world.
Have a great day.

Hi, Ruby - thank you so much for the info on converting my lamp. I am printing out your instructions for my file for possible future reference. My husband is the handyman around my house and has converted other lamps for me, but the reason I mentioned taking the lamp to a repairman is because the lamp has another light (small bulb in the base of the lamp that provides a sort of night light). So my question for the repairman would be: if I convert the lamp to accommodate a 3-way bulb, will I lose the "mood" light in the base? I am assuming I would and thus have to ponder whether I want to keep the lamp. I would appreciate any thoughts from you as well! I count my lucky stars for finding this site, by the way. All of you folks have been so helpful in so many ways!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
