Hi everybody around the world!
Welcome to my page,  here in the eastern edge of the Midwest US.
Come in, make yourself comfy, have a beer (Moosehead, my favorite) or a glass of white wine and don't forget the chocolate buckeyes!  If you've never had a buckeye, let me explain:  Ohio is called the "buckeye state" and our state tree of course is the buckeye tree.  The Ohio State Buckeyes are a great college football team (although I'm not much of a fan, having grown up in Maryland).  The buckeye tree produces a nut that is round and dark brown, with a tan spot at the top.  Around here you can buy chocolate buckeye candies - with peanut butter inside!  Yum!

A little about me --  I have 3 kids, 2 cats, 1 bunny and a husband who works too much.  I work part-time during the winter/spring preparing tax returns for H&R Block, while trying to grow my website design business (Midwest Web Design -- www.MidWebDes.com) in my "spare" time, as well as a new business selling comfortable clothing for women at parties.  Great quality stuff!  New division of an old company. www.myjockeyp2p.com/lindamustric if you'd like to see the catalog.

Our son - 18, just graduated HS, daughter - 15, 10th gr, other daughter - 13, 8th gr.

Our labradoodle puppy, Rocky, is 3.

Somebody asked for songs popular in 1907 and there they are with no qualifying remarks included. They are what they are.

Jeb I figured I'd split the difference between 1907 & 2007 - so these are some from 1957.

The first song is for Linda: Russ Hamilton: Rainbow

Now for some of my favorites:
Diamonds: Little Darlin', Jimmy Dorsey: So Rare, Sonny James: Young Love, Coasters: Searchin', Ferlin Husky: Gone

Jim Lowe: The Green Door, Sam Cooke: You Send Me, Tab Hunter: Young Love, Terry Gilkyson: Marianne, Rays: Silhouettes & Jimmie Rodgers: Honeycomb

Elvis Presley: All Shook Up, Too Much, Teddy Bear & Jailhouse Rock along with Pat Boone: Love Letters In The Sand & Don't Forbid Me

Fats Domino: I'm Walkin', Blueberry Hill & Blue Monday, along with Johnny Mathis: It's Not For Me To Say & Chances Are and of course Jerry Lee Lewis: Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On

Sorry, MizT, but I was still fuming from Jamie's remark as he was leaving! Anyway, I've come back with a beautiful birthday gift for Linda - a basket of seashells collected on the beach at Jekyll Island this weekend. (think she'll forgive me???????????) Now, then, where's the Moosehead?

Jane I think there was a cake around with 100 candles on it - don't know if Linda has blown them out - or where she has been. No one seems to have seen her.

I went looking for some music from the 40s and 50s. I found a whole bunch of Spike Jones and his City Slickers but decided that might raise the cultural level and put most folks off. If somebody has any Phil Harris and Alice Faye, that would be OK. Otherwise, lets tap that keg iced down in the bathtub and party on.

I'll go back to the Spa with my Gewurtraminer till around 3:30/4 then check the juke box.

Jeb: I have a Spike Jones Christmas Album. He had a store in novelty store in LaCrescenta, CA for years. He sure wore the wild close of the vaude ville era.

Hello Linda! Happy Birthday. My guess is that you have joined Rosemary and me(and some others) in the half century club. I like the "over the rainbow" analogy. I'll have a cosmo and sit and visit for a while.

I love Chocolate & Peanut Butter, I wonder how it will go with the Chardonnay.

It would have been great with the Gewurtz, darn elephant.

Gewurtztraminer goes very well with Thai food like Gado-Gado which is a hot peanut butter sauce.

I know Chardonnay go great with Chocolate covered Strawberries and Chocolate Raspberry combinations go well with Cabs, Syrahs, etc. (examples: Chocolate Cheese Cake with Raspberry Sauce or Giradelli Sundae using Chocolate Ice Cream with a Raspberry Ripple and Raspberry Sauce). Is anyone's mouath watering yet.

OOOHHHH, great time to stop by whilst Eve is going on about chocolate! (and where's André, now that we're on the subject of hocolate?)

I brought my 'spare' pumpkin cheesecake, and yes, thanks, I will have a Cosmo to toast the Birthday Girl! Here's to you, Linda!

Any more of Jamie's Texas brisket left? Oh, yes please, with extra BBQ sauce...

So now we've gone through 1957. If this is the big 5-0 or 4-0. She probably will remember songs from 1982 which is 1/2 way between 1957 & 2007.

I've updated by U-tube with a 4 song Medley from that era by Neil Diamond from a concert I attended at the Forum in Los Angeles. This is the last in my current Neil Diamond series of videos.

Going on midnight at home, so getting - I'll let someone else put together a series of songs from 1982 for the Birthday girl (or 1972 if it is the big 5-0). $1.00 gets you 24 songs. Have fun.

Linda - Go BUCKEYES.

Those Chocolate covered peanut butter balls were yummy.

thanks for having us. I tried to clean up a little bit. There is a little Basque Soup still in the crock pot - to warm your tummy on this cold evening/night. Have Fun!

You should be alright June. He said he was going to take a nap in the hammock strung between the two pine trees. He's exhausted after the marathon dancing on a trampoline competition!
Linda, I hope you've had a fun time, I know we all certainly have!
Here is a bouquet of roses from my page. I know it's not your birthday just yet, these are just to say thank you for having us, it was nice to feel welcome again.

Linda! Hope you have a great time celebrating! Thanks for inviting us, we always have great fun getting together! I brought some chocolate covered strawberries, since you can never have enough of them.

Just listening to Celine Dion's new song, "What do yo say to taking chances" and it seems perfect for a party to start a new chapter in your life!

Now, watch out, I've never done a canonball into a hot tub before, but here goes ... SPLASH!
