Okay, now I can comment. Hi! I almost didn't recognize Celine Dion with the short hair when your viseo came up, but as soon as she started singing.... I enjoyed a week on a houseboat in the Trent Canal system here in Canada several years ago. A wonferful experience isn't it? Glad you had fun!

Gday Amelia, sorry I wasn't in when you visited. Was there enough milk for your cuppa? How have you been? Anything interesting happening your way? Went to the Melb bar tour on Thu night. Met many sudokuists and had a ball! Getting too old for late nights though, spent most of Friday yawning! Brought along a plate of anzac bikkies to go with your coffee. Enjoy.

Amelia, I'm a little late in welcoming you to your page. I brought a platter of baby Swiss cheese and Trail bologna from my hometown for everyone to enjoy.
BTW, I read your post about YouTube. After you check the code and it shows that the video is still active, click the Update Details button. That should change your YouTube. Hope this helps.

Hi Amelia, for visiting and for the welcome gifts. The houseboat looks like such a relaxing way to travel.
Yes, I took the picture of the squid - a really lucky shot. I couldn't operate both camera and light at the same time - I knew approximately where they were & just crossed my fingers & took the shot. If I had tried, I couldn't have got them to co-operate like that

Hello Amelia - thanks for visiting and sorry I've been a bit lapse returning my visits lately, what with busy painting my house and this weekend I came down with a cold, so I took the afternoon off work.
I had a wonderful time in south/west France when I was there and I'd love to go again one day.
You must have had a great time on your riverboat cruise. Many years ago my Mother & Father drove to S.A. and had a cruise on the Coonawarra on the Murray River and had a lovely time.
Cheers

Hello Amelia - thank you for your get well wishes. It's only a cold I have but it just kept getting worse so I've started some antibiotics today, so that should help. I don't usually take them but I think I need them in this instance.
Cheers

Thank you Amelia, Mum's always liked a noice fleur. Unfortunately she is in Adelaide so I can't be with her today but was lucky enough to pop over in April to surprise my dad on his b/day. I am one of six kids and we all had tribes so you can imagine the get-together last year for her 80th.

Hi Amelia, just had a flick through your photos again. Great looking grands. I must tell you, the first time I looked through them , I could have sworn you had a photo of my son sitting at the pooter when I saw your grandson Geoffrey. As soon as I can I will get photos up on my page and I will try to get one of my son in exactly the same pose. Which wont be hard, he rarely leaves the pooter!!!

hi amelia
haven't been by for a while, so thought i'd catch up. sorry i didn't reply to your post sooner - i've been really busy. i'm a teacher and it has been that silly season for reports. we had a computer melt down at school and lost all our files, so that made life a little more difficult!
how is yur dad going? it must be easier to put a reason to some of his behaviours and have him back to 'normal' with his medication. can't doctors do amazing things these days.
we haven't been back to wentworth since we moved - it almost seems like another lifetime ago - so i guess it has changed in 15 years. we were still there when there were no pokies in victoria, which made it a very prosperous little town, so i wonder what has changed.
what a gorgeous grandson you have - i must confess i am not a mad photo taker (much to my regret) and must get myself organised - it is really so easy. i'm buying a new phone(the old cdma won't work for much longer) and hope that will help me start a collection!
hope you have a lovely day, and have been getting some of this great soaking rain we have - another 15 mls today!

Amelia, just a quick note to let you know, thanks to Gath, I now have photos up on my page. There is one there of my son, you can't really see what I mean about the similarity but it still takes my breath away. Next time he visits, I shall 'pose' him at the computer so you will be able to see what I mean.

Thank you for your comments Amelia. Yes I think it's uncanny too. Jed will be (eek) 23 in Oct!
Cockatoo is a small town in the Dandy Ranges, about an hour drive to the CBD of Melbourne. We are near Belgrave and Emerald and Puffing Billy, the tourist steam train, goes through the centre of town. Rural, yet only twenty minutes to the 'burbs!

hi amelia!
I'd like to tell you how technologically literate and clever I am to be able to insert heaps of YouTubes.
Now can I tell you it was all by mistake! I just followed Gath's instructions and used the imbed function - it may have to do with where I actually acquired the image from - I was searching at the time and coming from the list - maybe that is why it gave other choices.
Pretty cool, huh? If any of our friends from overseas look, it gives them more of an idea of what happened.
Another glorious morning here - the sun is shining and the grass is growing after the rain. Let's hope we get some more in a few weeks!
Have a lovely day.

Amelia, I'm just dropping in to say I hope all is well with your dad after his fall and that you're not running yourself ragged trying to tend to things. I'm thinking of you--having our parents getting older and more frail is a heartbreak. Drop by anytime for a chat, and take care.

Amelia, thinking of you. It is a daunting task you face, hubby and I did it for his gran many years ago. Systematically is the only way! Room by room or pick a theme to work on eg. pack knick knacks, rubbish removal, clothes etc. Stay positive.
