Hi Vivacious! Thank you for the birthday greetings! There was no need to apologise for the first post. I loved it! Eat, drink and be merry I shall, but will leave the drinking until a more respectable hour!

Viv, I meant to pass on my very best wishes to Kim and Kira. It was lovely to hear the news of Kira's birth. As a mum of a premmie (now 183cm tall) I know just what it's like, especially having to leave your baby behind in hospital. The upside is that babies grow so very fast, and Kim will have the pleasure of a tiny baby for so much longer.

Viv, thank you so much for dropping into my page on the day of Mum's funeral. You know, I thought I would be an absolute mess, particularly worried that I would not be able to get through my part of the eulogy, but it wasn't like that at all. I felt like I was snuggled into a warm blanket and coasting along on a cloud. I really believe that it was the hugs and kind thoughts of all my friends here who helped me get through such a sad day.
I feel proud that I was able to honour Mum in such a way.

Viv, I saw your comment about the cartlidge in my knee - evoked a memory, as many things on this site do...

When I had my car accident I crushed the cartlidge in my jaws, which they didn't notice for a couple of years. Turns out the reason they didn't notice was because it couldn't be seen until they opened me up. Anyway, they stuck in some silastic sheeting for 3 months then took it out again. Aparently it worked like sand in an oyster to encourage the growth of more cartlidge! I don't think it would work on a knee, unfortunately, as I wasn't allowed to put ANY pressure on it for 3 months = liquid/soft food diet!!!!

Hoping you get some answers...

OH Twin Viv! I sure hope you can come to June's while Beanie and I are there. I think it will be toward the end of my stay in November - but Bean is organizing the travel, so check with her.
Also, if there is ANY chance you can make it down to Melbourne for the weekend of Oct. 31st - we are throwing a grand Halloween party at Bean's house. I think you would be perfect for some creative costuming! Just wanted to throw that in there in case it is possible for you - I realize it is a long ways.
