Hi André, Thanks for dropping by. I made a note to ask Keith about the 'hocolate Big Ben Cake if my feeble old mind doesn't forget to look at my note. You have done some travelling as well. We have covered most of the US, some of Asia and I was in Europe back in '81. We would love to go to Italy when we scale down our motorhome travels. Nice photos in your flickr and sounds like you gave up that nasty cig. habit....good for you and everyone around you.

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.

gotta love the jellytots...on our Sunday jaunt, jaz, em (and family) sauntered into Oggies for icecreams, and they had ENGLISH SWEETS!!! I scanned the shelves for an eternity and I narrowed the choice down to dolly mixtures, toffee bon bons (strawb/lemon), jelly babies and the sherbert fountain (I had been knocked back in time to my childhood memories and had a rather vacant look about me). The jellybabies won out as they were the real McCoy. I think I want to own a lolly shop - Ye Olde English sweetshop with weighing scales and tall jars, and I'd give free ones to good children...well ones that wouldn't nick them when i wasn't looking...

My meeting with Dave was my first SA contact. Great fun. Yes, the temptations are difficult. For me, beer is the worst, and if ever I get that under control, chocolate rears its seductive head. Several months ago, I thought I had it all figured out, now it's a struggle just to stay even. Sigh.

mmmmmmmmmm don't know about the sexy bit - but it was good to hear from you.. I really must get back and update my Blog page....and get in to chat more often........and start posting regularly again.........and sign in to Yahoo...........and..............oh what the hell - Life's too short and time goes too quickly.

I think we can use our entrepreneurial (do you know how hard it is to spell that?)skills and set up our own sweetie shop in cell block 1, nr the entrance so that visitors can buy them for their loved ones, and for inmates when they're leaving - we should not carry gobstoppers as they can do a lot of damage to teeth and dentures - wouldn't want that on my conscience. We'd have to ask for permission for our arms to be loosened on our s/jackets so that we could pour and weigh...I think we could make it rich and retire in a Club Med where i hear everything is free once you pay for it...

yes dear I do stay quite safe right now..but incase they stike, I am quite in a close vicinity!..hope the cops down here are smart enuf to identify trouble..all depends on luck I think!!

can book you in on Oct 19th at 4pm for one foot, Nov 3rd 8.30am for the other. Not sure how flights would work out for you but you can always catch a ship if you stick your thumb out. I provide bibs - so drooling and spitting is not a problem as long it's not projectile drooling and spitting...x

Andre, for the birthday greeting and the chocolates. When I was young, I never cared for chocolates; it probably helped keep me thin. But now my chocaholic daughter seems to be converting my taste buds, so all chocolate is appreciated and savored slowly. MMMM! I am bringing our local candy store's mini chocolate frogs, a mixture of dark and milk chocolate, that you might enjoy. The photos of Iceland and Spain were fascinating; thanks so much for sharing.

"Hogo Boss" in Phuket....can't say i've tried anything but Angel as it's taken me years to find a pong that doesn't make me want to upchuck...it's the florals that does it...i've been advised to stick to woody and spicey and all things nicey - oh dear god - where's my chillout music??? but as angel is not floral - but hocolately - how could I not fall in love with the stuff? I shall, however, check out Deep Red as it's in my colour swatch - you're not "summer" too are you??...

So glad to hear Lauren is settling in - the thing to do now is not wonder what she is up to!
