Enjoyed the music André, and it is chill music. You went to bed last night before finding who was waiting for you in the men's locker room. It was a surprise birthday gift! Cheers!

andré, thanks for the well wishes on our trip. The SA meetings may very well not happen ... nobody except Canuk Greg has said they would be there, and he's not sure if he can make it. That's OK, I gave it my best shot. I will post pictures after I return.

I hurried back to the swimming pool
Sinkin' pina coladas
I heard a dark voice beside me say
Would you like something harder
She said I've got it you want it
My harvest is the best
And if you try it you'll like it
And wallow in a Dreadlock Holiday

I don't like cricket
I love it (Dreadlock Holiday)
I don't like reggae
I love it (Dreadlock Holiday)
Don't like Antigua
I love her (Dreadlock Holiday)

Have a wondeful time...let me know how the dreadlocks go on the toes - reckon it would look pretty damn cool...xxx

Hey gorgeous girl!! welcome back mon - i have missed you...I'm just this minute (well not THIS very minute obviously) writing my assignment on Polanski's macbeth and after every //graph I'm pooped, which is why I have been posting such garbage...excuse my lament, but why oh why oh why do I do this to myself? I need a holiday like you darls...or a life...and I've come out in sympathy for Lady Mac, she really wasn't such an evil, conniving b*tch really (ok a little bit then) - btw - did you have any pina coladas? I have to go snooze now, my brain has just shut down...can't do this no more...toodles babe xxx

I've just read rob's msg and it's stopped me dead in my tracks...it's just so sad.

Have a good day andré, no doubt you'll be catching up with the washing/ironing/cleaning that always seems to waiting on the return of any holiday - the realities of living...not sure about being popped though - could be messy.
take care sweetheart x

Hi André, thank you for your thoughts. I did have a spell of five days in hospital because my ticker played up. Eventually they gave me a light anaesthetic and zapped my heart back into normal ryhthm. I felt pretty awful for the rest of the day, but came home the following day and have been gradually returning to a normal state ever since.
I'm so sorry we missed the opportunity to meet during our recent visit but Anne's a Brit and she still has family in UK so you never know.
Cheers,
Ian

Thanks André, I'm glad you have had your ride in a helicopter - fun isn't it?
While we were living in Papua New Guinea we visited the island of Kar Kar off the northern coast. It is a volcanic island and was still erupting, having killed a couple of vulcanologists who were silly enough to be camped on the rim of the caldera watching the volcano.
We had the opportunity to fly in a helicopter into the volcano to see what was happening. I split the family so that if there was an accident at least one parent and some of the kids would survive. We landed on the floor of the caldera with steam popping up from vents all around us and a huge hole through which steam and ash were gushing way up to the heavens. It was just like what I imagined the moon to be.
It was one of the most exciting adventures I have experienced - and the kids have never forgotten it. The helicopter was a little Bell, with a bubble canopy and no doors! The volcano was simply awesome.

Many thanks for your greetings. I shall be having a 'me' day tomorrow. 9 Holes of golf followed by lunch with the girls at the club and then a champagne evening at home(so neither Steve not I need to drive) watching Doc Martin ( yes I'm that old)

Glad you 'popped' in André. It has been quite a while since we've visited. I don't have the 'you've got mail' email notice on my page turned on so your post sat there a while waiting for me to wander in. I watched your YouTube. None of the people I know move like that anymore.

Hi André! Thanks for your TWO visits to my page lately. Nice to know you were thinking of me. I am still playing catchup. LOVED your pictures of Antigua! I got to go there several times when we lived in Puerto Rico ('83-'86). It sure is a beautiful place. Rob is due home this afternoon after taking Bryce back up to his home in NC. I have enjoyed 5 days of time alone being lazy! We're expecting a friend from Swtizerland who will come for a two week visit starting this Sat. Also, middle daughter Wendy & her family will arrive next Mon. for a 5 day stay. House will be crowded & lively so I'm glad I had a chance to rest up! Hope you are rested & well, too.

Andre, thanks for the chocolates; I'll keep them to share with hubby and not the trick or treaters who come tomorrow night (though we don't get many ...). Yes, Arthur is a hoot and so are my other two--Spike has been consoling me this last month, sleeping close to my face with his paws on my shoulders. Well, I find it cute anyway ... Best to you and yours this week!

André sweetpea - one size fits all, they only pinch if you wear them back to front...they also double up as a balaclava, as you no doubt have already discovered...x
Have a great weekend luvvie. I am 'locked in' for the next week finishing off this unit and I am already suffering from cabin fever...it's going to be 30 degrees on Sunday and I'm going to miss it :((

Of course I did silly...one cube would've destroyed the cross stitching on the chair that must've been done about a hundred years ago (I'm not kidding), so to stop leakage I figured the tray would work...bit lumpy...what's good for ice-burns? xx

alas André - i have no morlokian (sp?) paint at my disposal, so resorted to butter instead...my sheets are a mess.

I do look good in pink, but it has to be the right shade...pastel as opposed to shocking...x

Hello Andre - I have been a bit remiss at responding to your msg regarding Liz's cochlear implant. Just don't know where the time goes!!! (blah, blah). Anyway, all is going well(ish) so far. She has had one trip to Melbourne for a increase in volume and it immediately started up a nerve tic in her face near her mouth. This is quite a worry as it may restrict how much volume she can have. The tech wound it back a bit and the tic stopped, so maybe it may just be a case of taking it in smaller steps. I sincerely hope so. Apart from that though there is already a difference in her hearing as yesterday she asked me about a tap dripping in the bathroom which she couldn't find. It turned out to be a little clock ticking, something she had never heard before. (I had no idea she couldn't hear this noise). So she is also learning things she never knew about, such as the fact that clocks tick. I hope it keeps up as well as this. Many thanks, Kate

Hello André - I love your photo of the yacht.
Thanks for the visit, I actually live towards the outskirts of the town just off the Albany Highway, (the main highway to Perth), about 5kms off the left of the photo. It's quite a spread out town, partly because of Mount Clarence in the centre, and of course, the only way it could spread out was moving inland. Our towns aren't nice and compact like towns and villages in England, we obviously have more land and house blocks (lots) are usually bigger, although it's getting to the stage where they are getting smaller and the new houses being built are getting a lot larger.
I'm eating my breakfast while typing.
Cheers
Anne

There are deer around here all the time & wild turkeys. This buck was sitting there for over an hour - about 10 yards away was a doe also resting behind a bush. After I posted the photo, the doe got spooked and as saw her run acrross the back yard, the buck slowly got up and slowly walked by; More...

he was a lot larger than I had realized. The bucks usually strut slowly through the yard. By the time I get the camera and try to get it focused properly the shot is gone. His resting there was great - he was there for well over an hour. The does and young deer are always around eating acorns or just laying around.
