Hi, again, Jean! This is small world time. Before moving here about 4 years ago, we lived in AH for about 21 or 22 years. Our kids went to school there and I worked in a school there. And we remember corn fields on the back of the Lutheran Home property along Thomas Street. The fields are long gone and they have duplexes built there for people who aren't yet ready to go into multi-level apartments or later the nursing home. You said your Mom is still in AH. I hope she's doing well!

Hi, Jean! I loved your spooky smilie. I wonder if I'll ever get to use it. I'm not sure how long Gath is going to let us stay on as free members.

We lived about 1 block south of Thomas St. We had friends living in the Westgate & South Middle School attendance areas, and I went to my share of meeting as both (including the original South). We tried to talk my 92-year-old MIL into moving to Luther Village (apartments) a few years ago, but she wasn't at all interested - wanted to stay in the town she'd lived in for 40+ years. At least she's happy where she is!

This is such a small world. One Sudokuholic has a best friend who lives about 5 miles from my sister. Another Sudokuholic used to live about 25 minutes from us, near where we lived when we were first married. Without Sudoku, I would never have met so many great people! Have a super weekend!

Thank You, for the kindness,it's been three years, and my son, Adam (15), and I are doing OK.
It's not an easy thing, probably the hardest I've gone through yet. And you never know, you may just get that phone call, cause some days are harder than others.

Jean, Just up the 'street' from you. I went to SIU. I don't have a clothes line - I have put up clothes in my backyard tree - but they just fall down so I just hung them up in the upstairs bathroom. Jean for the good wishes to my parents. I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents and especially my dad, who does everything for my mum. They are 76 years old and my dad has never been sick in his life, so fit and healthy. My mum was always so active and it breaks my heart to see her looking and acting so differently. I pop in to do her hair and see them daily at times. I wish you well and take care.

Jean, in the comments section today you mentioned that you would like to post pictures, but they are too large. I use this website to make my pictures a more manageable size: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ It's easy to use. Hope this helps.

There are a number of free programs availablr that will let you edit and reduce the size of your pictures. There is a free version of Adobe Photoshop http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2977
and Picassa is also good (http://picasa.google.com/index.html).

Got your page to tell you about your request and found many friend have let you know how to deal with your photos ,so I wish you good luck.

GHI JEAN, saw your request for help reducing your photos. I have used the shrink pictures mentioned by Linda with good success, even use that for creating avatars, a useful site. Another suggestion is to look at your camera's software. I know on mine, there is an edit function where I can resize my photos. good luck!

Hello Jean, I was mildly surprised by your awareness of a festival of our country.Nice to know tho, Well it is Navrathri meaning nine nights.It is also called Dassera meaning 10 days. The grand finale is on sunday, after which the dolls are rested packed in their boxes. I invite you to take a look at the picture of my dolls in my page.
