Sarah Beth, 'hope you and yours are OK in all that snow! Are you a party animal? If so, you might want to know we're repairing the first class cabin of our plane that 'somebody' trashed on the trip to Napa. This time, we'll be cruising around the world for a New Year's bash at 35,000 feet. Put on something very sparkly; tell us the airport nearest to you, and we'll scoop you up!

Hi Sarah Beth!

Thanks so much for the twelve pack! I was just sitting at my computer thinking I was getting awfully thirsty when, there, thru the digital alcohol delivery system & libation filling tank, (dadslift), there it was!

Morning Sarah Beth. I'm hoping hubby has escaped Colorado's snowy clutches today. It's 0930 on Dec 23 here - he was supposed to take off from Denver two and a half hours ago - and I haven't heard anything this morning, so here's hoping....

Sarah beth, I hope that my comment on sudoku medium didn't sound too pompous. In another life I was a C130 Hercules pilot and I have had enough fighter flying to know that I prefer 'trash hauling'. So you see the offer of being a 'Fighter Pilot for a Day' didn't tempt me at all. But thanks anyway.
I am delighted that your brother is taking his balloon pilot's licence, I don't know a lot about it but it seems to me to be an enjoyable sport/profession. Good luck to him.

I have cousins living in Denver and visited them a couple of years ago. They took us to their cabin at Estes Park - which was a wonderful experience - and a drive around the Rocky Mountains National Park.

All the best to you and your family for a Happy New Year.

Sarah Beth, I didn't take offence, I just re-read my comment and thought it didn't sound right without some explanation.
Your heritage sounds interesting.

Hi Sarah Beth. Hope you and yours had a great Christmas. 2007 is around the corner. A whole new year coming up, and so much will happen during this coming year. I do hope that you and yours enjoy peace, happiness, good times, (chocolate for those of you who indulge), and should there be some sorrow that befalls you, I do hope you weather it well and stay strong and positive. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey Sarah Beth welcome to the getting fit in 2007 crowd. The more there are the more support we can give one another.
I was 5'6' but was surprised to find I've shrunk an inch. Makes my target weight a bit lower, oh dear!! Still I need to lose between 30 and 45 lb to attain ideal weight. At the moment, though, I will be happy NOT to be classed as obese. Our futures start with the first step - you have done that so just keep on truckin'.

The next time I come visit, could you please, at least, hide the hocolates, wine and other alcoholic delights. I can resist anything, but, temptation.

Only 8298 steps today, no wine, no wheat, no dairy (except a little milk in tea) maybe too much fruit but I got hungry. 2 litres of water.
The hunger devil is after me so I'm going to bed where there is definitely no food.

Hi Sarah Beth. It's been a while, so I just thought I'd pop in for a cup of coffe. So you're on the weight reduction plan too? Good lick! No treats for you this time, but I left some goodies for the dogs!

Hey Sarah Beth~ Yes, you are supposed to feel crappy for a week or 2. You can feel weak, tired, hungry, and shaky. It's your cravings, and your body's way of saying it wants SUGAR!
GOOD LUCK!
KEEP it UP!

Hi Sarah Beth, Just back after another mile and a half walk with my little dog. He's been on a string bean diet since he was a year old, but since he and I are doing so much more walking, he should lose weight too. With your weather things have got to be difficult for you, but hang in there, things will get better some time or other. We have been very warm for this time of year, but you can bet we'll be paying for it later this winter.I'm going to hang in there and do what I can. Oh, I'm glad that my site is on your fav list. I'm honored. Cheers with water.

Your moonlit walk sounds lovely. Our last walk yesterday evening was the only one not done ib rain. We are off out for our first walk today in about 10 minutes and guess what, it's raining.
Sleep well and wake refreshed. I'm at the stage where fatigue has hit and I really could just go back to bed.
I need a cup of tea and my walking boots...see you

Sarah Beth, Don't worry about having a little sugar, you still went walking. Guess what, having to walk in all of that snow might have helped burn a few extra calories too. I hate cold and snow, so I'm doing as much outside now as I can. I'll soon have to do more in the gym, and try to walk in the mall. I still have to walk the dog, but I won't be extending as I am now. This a.m we walked almost two miles, then I took down and packed away all of the Christmas stuff, then dusted and vacummed the house. Now I'm getting ready to go out to dinner...That will be a test. At least I'll still be able to walk this evening after we come back. Hang in there. Cheers!

Hey Sarah Beth, we will all have good days and bad days. You just don't have to let the bad ones pull you off the straight and narrow. I walked a lot less than I wanted to today but maybe I set myself too high a target. I will be more realistic tomorrow and you never know I may surprise myself. I just wish it would stop raining.

It stopped raining, till I got to the turning point in my walk. Still I suppose the first half was dry!!!Only 8439 steps today. Should catch up when I play golf later in the week.
How's the moonlit snow walking going?

Only 5322 steps today plus 2000 for 20 minutes of exercise. I decided my legs were getting all the work out so spent some time with a couple of cans of tomatoes as weights working my upper body. Wow I'm so unfit. It was more hard work than the walking.
My weight loss at the end of week 1 was 2.4 Kg or just over 5lb.

Hey Sarah Beth, I read somewhere that you were listening to an Outlander book on tape and wondered if you were listening while walking? I think thats a great idea and wish I could use one of those things while walking. It would should make walking easier to take. GannieMo and you have your cameras which help since you are also looking for good sites. Whatever one can do to keep going is great. The results of today's weigh-in are on my page. Its pretty much as expected.

you are doing great ... small steps and it will all fall into place. lots of us here to support you too. everyone will work at their own pace but it is the result at the end that we all aim for. how we achieve it and in what time frame is up to ourselves and our bodies.
cheers

Mamacita, I got a RCA MP3 player for Christmas. It is compatable with the library system to download books. Bonus: less expensive and more memory. Unfortunately, I haven't totally mastered the library download yet, so I borrow the CDs, ''rip'' them to my laptop, then ''sync''(new words) them to my MP# player. It is about 3/8 inch thick, 3'' long and 2'' wide. Very portable. When I'm walking outside, I usually listen to the sounds of nature, pluss I have to focus on the dogs(wrangling 140# of dog keeps you busy), but the intent was to use it at the gym. Haven't been there yet, will set myself up to go tomorrow.
