Back at Christmas time I posted the news that grandson Chase was going to become a big brother in July.  I am happy to announce that his baby sister Maddox Ann Martin was born at 6:09 P.M. on July 27, 2015.  She weighed 9 pounds and measured 21 1/4 inches long.  We are thrilled to have a third granddaughter (the others are 19 and 16!) and six grandsons and feel very blessed.

Hi Kathy. It's my 32-yr-old daughter who's pregnant with her second child. The 30 yr old is getting married in Las Vegas in February! I'm really glad it's not me who's pregnant!!
Where in Florida is Valrico? (I'm too lazy to look it up.) We will be in Pompano Beach the first week of December at our timeshare. Our son is in Ft Lauderdale and SIL is in Lake Mary.
Thanks for visiting my page. One of these days I'll add some pictures.

Kathy, we haven't had a visit in a long time, so I thought I'd drop by. Here's hoping all is well with you and yours and that you're sharing laughter and good times with loved ones every day.

Hi, Kathy! I am so excited! Just got a new computer (the old one finally croaked), and I can't believe how fast this is! I'm hoping to be able to retrieve all my files from the old hard drive. I'm dropping it off at the repair shop Monday. In the meantime, I am going to have to enter all my address book names and e-mail addresses manually - and there are more than 300 of them! I do believe I got my money's worth out of the old computer though - going on 9 years!

Sounds Like you and Rob are keeping busy. Hope you have a fantastical Thanksgiving! Will you be home or with the kids?

Love, Jane & Jaime

Sheesh woman! It seems like you never stop! You must be the world's most social people, if you're not visiting them, they are at your place visiting you!!!
Things are normal here, just had a verbal run-in with D#2, so nothing's changed. We've had a bit of rain over the last couple of days so that is always good. We had 13 drops yesterday and hubby thinks he counted 7 today! It's so dry. We have rigged up a system of catching the rinse water from the washing machine just to keep our hanging plants alive because we are only allowed to water twice a week on allocated days, and only in the mornings before 8am. The roses are looking good though so I've brought you a bunch.

Have a look at our new member, Toy Elephant's page. Obviously a very talented child. Must be in the genes!

Thank you Kathy. I look to you for my inspiration-if Kathy can make it through, so can I!
As a matter of fact, I get on very well with Chloe, the oldest of the three girls,...now! I have also found that since turning 18, D#2, Beth seems a little more reasonable every day, she just slips back into her selfish teenage ways occasionally. They are both extremely strong-willed and given that I thought I was too, we have had some dingdong barnies, I can tell you. Hubby and I are determined to make sure that Hannah stays as nice and co-operative as she is now, we tend to be a little more heavy-handed with her because I can't go through another tempestuous teenage time! BTW I also have a 23yo son, Jed. I love him so much and that is not just because he moved out at a reasonable age, or is it!!!

Hi Kathy - It was so good to hear from you! Great picture! Love those shirts and your grandchildren are adorable.

It has been chilly here! Does your daughter, Kyley, (I hope I spelled it right) live in Florida? If she is use to the warm weather, this is a big change for her! Yesterday we had rain mixed with snow!

My oldest daughter, Angi, and I went Christmas shopping at the Novi Mall. (Twelve Oaks.) We had a "girls" day. She came to pick me up at 8:00 yesterday morning. We got home after 6:00 last night. It was a chilly day to be running around. I was glad to get home last night.

My #2 son, Jeremiah, is getting ready to leave for Germany next Sunday. His work is sending him over there for at least 2 weeks, but he could be over there for 2 months! He works on Airplanes and they want him to have more training. My brother lives in Sweden and goes to Germany quite often with his job. They are hoping to connect somewhere along the way.

Are you having Thanksgiving at your house? We bought a 17 # turkey the other day! There will be at least 10 of us here maybe more. (My children and spouses will all be here and Jeremiah's girlfriend.)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Bella is a very special 4yo 30kg puppy! She lost her mate (BJ the red and white basset just the other month) but is coping very well.
I must put some pics up of our first grandchild, Carter James is almost 4 months old.
Regards,
Broni & Bella

Thank you visiting! Love to hear from you! Brandon was born January 26th this year. My son, Yuji, will not be deployed until April next year due to his training. So this will be the first Christmas in four years that he will be with his family! They will spend Christmas with his wife's family and then 6 days with us!!! I will take lots and lots of pics of my grandson. I hear he's getting quite adventuresome! Well luckily we have plenty of rooms for him to explore. Hopefully the cat will get some rest while he's here.

Kathy, What a great picture with your grandkids. Those boys sure are cute.I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

It's been a long time since I've talked (writen)to you. How are you guys doing? Did the hurricanes hit your area very hard? My oldest daughter, Tasha, was able to get a temporary assignment in S. Carolina after she was commissioned in the Navy so she could be with her husband for a couple of months. Now she is in Pensicola, FL, as she is training to be a pilot. She was supposed to start in Feb., then Dec. 5, and then last week they told her she would start today, Wed. She is all excited.

Our SIL finished his training in S. Carolina almost 2 months ago and has been in CT. almost 2 months for more training to run the nuclear plant on a boomer and will be stationed in Ga.in about 1 more week. But tomorrow he will fly down to FL and spend Thanksgiving weekend with Tasha. We will see them when they fly here for a week for Christmas.

A couple of weeks ago, Tasha was very disappointed ????? because she was their home in Cantonment, FL, when a hurricane hit Pensicola. Her 2 roommates left the mall there about 10 minutes before it got a lot of damage.

Mike and I will go out for Thanksgiving dinner and then visit his mom since it's just the 2 of us this year. Our younger daughter, SaraLyn, just left for south-eastern Idaho about 3 weeks ago with her "boy friend", her 53 year-old boyfriend (she's 18) who is a lot less than a reputable person. She says she's and adult now and needs to learn from her own mistakes. At least she still calls home when she can, when he's not around.

Well, it's late and I'd better get some sleep. Please write back and let me know how you are doing. Again, I hope you guys have a good Thanksgiving.

Dear Kathy - I did not mean to bring tears to your eyes! We kept our snow all day yesterday and all night last night! It was only 16 here this morning. Quite a cold snap for November! I talked to my mom and dad yesterday. It was 82 at their house! They were going to dinner at my aunt's house. All of my children were here for dinner yesterday. I hope you had a nice day yesterday!

Hi Kathy
thank you for your hello message sent some weeks ago... this site with all the avatars is a bit daunting to me these days; I've not visited it for too long! However I wanted to say that Michael Leunig has just done a new book: "Hot... and bothered" published by Penguin at AUD$24.95. An extract is in our newspaper today and I really felt I had to tell you! Hope you can access it somehow. His way with words is just beautiful. I want to linger on every syllable.

Hi Kathy,
Sounds like you had a very nice Thanksgiving with your family. Your SIL sounds like my husband as far as cooking the big meal. I have to admit, he really is a better cook than I am. But this is the first Thanksgiving (or any major holiday) that neither of our girls were at home (we're "empty-nesters" now), so we ate out at a really nice place in a wooded setting, with a view overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was beautiful and so nice to come home and not have any dishes to do. But I have to admit, it seemed like something was missing and I also miss the leftovers.

It's great to hear from you again. Yes, it has been a long time as I haven't visited this sudoku site in a quite a while. What is your friend's son's name and how long has he already been training in Pensicola? Tasha has been there just about a month and is just starting her training. She would like to fly either a fighter jet or helocopter. But the Navy will decide that when she is closer to finishing her training depending on what their needs are at the time.

I hope SaraLyn doesn't take 4 years to figure things out. I also hope they won't get married as he wants to marry her in Jan. and has put money down on a wedding set (which is here in WA and they are now in TX). I hope that is just another of his lies. Now he has convinced her to sell "her" car, their only car, which she bought before she met him and owns free and clear. Mike has the pink slip here in the house and, "conveniently" can't seem to find where he put it. I'd hate to see her to be stranded without any money and without any transportation. I guess all I can do is pray...a lot!

Well it's getting late so I'd better go.

Good Morning Kathy! - Jeremiah flew into Frankfort. He is going to a town called Lindenburg. He is my airplane mechanic and the company he works for wanted him to have more training in testing equipment. He has his FAA license in Airframe and Powerplant. He is certified to work on everything except for some of the instruments in the "control room". They tell him Lindenburg is quite chilly this time of the year, even for a Michigan man. It is in the mountains. (15 Deg. (F) We have ancesters on both sides of the family in Germany. (My husbands mom and dad both spoke German.)

My brother lives in Sweden and his job takes him to Germany quite often. Hopefully the two of them can connect somewhere along the way. They have told Jeremiah that he could be there anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months!

Your picture is just stunning, Kathy. What an exciting trip this must have been. I have enjoyed Anne's pictures, so much, from Peru. We sure have a beautiful world to live in.

I spoke with my mom and dad on Thanksgiving and they said it has cooled down a little. They had their AC off. My mom's older sister, who is a widow, was having them for Thanksgiving Dinner. She lives about 5 miles from them.

I hope you have a great day!

Hi Kathy thank you for your kind words. I haven't made a list of all the TFTD's but I try to check on the search button to make sure I haven't used one already. They are getting harder to find now, thank goodness for the internet makes it much easier. Hope all are well in the family and that you are resting after all your visitors. Heres the horoscope for today:
Laugh and the world laughs at you. Or at least, it'll seem like that this week. Good time to be unspecific. Instead of being a day late and a dollar short, for example, just try to be late and short. See how much easier that is? Hey sounds funny really.. just try it out
cheers
