We have a little rhubarb, but the leaves are poisonous and it's where out goats can get to it. Besides, it takes a little extra care and attention -- rich, top dressed, moist composted soil -- to keep it tender and flavorful. Ours usually bolts in the first heat wave before it gets tall enough to harvest.

Did you know that rhubarb is really a vegetable? I like to keep my rhubarb and strawberry goodies separate, but I have once upon a time made rhubarb strawberry and rhubarb peach (with frozen peaches). Many, many people like rhubarb strawberry, but I preferred the rhubarb peach.

Kathy, a 'guts' is somewhere between glutton and greedy. Someone who likes their food.

Hello Kathy - Johnathan enjoyed playing his footy last Friday evening. It only lasted for about 20mins or so during the half-time of the main game. His father said he played quite well and was focused, which sometimes the kids aren't.

Kathy - you've got some great photos of the frog.

Kathy - Johnathan plays Aussie rules football which is a lot different to soccer. They give them a chance at different positions on the field and the field is barely a quarter size to the proper football field. As they get older they learn it a lot more.

Here I am, Kathy! So wonderful to hear from you, and I assure you, I haven't forgotten about you or the many terrific people on the site. I must say, I just love the photo of you in your lovely wedding dress, and such a handsome groom on your arm! You must be so excited about the upcoming wedding, and so proud too. All goes well here, with hubby and three cats, our 16 1/2 year-old Holmes still holding his own. Lots of craziness for me, workwise, which has demanded plenty of my time; hopefully things have settled down for awhile and I can visit more often. Thanks so much for thinking to drop me a line. I try not to analyze (that does not look right) what or why I do things. I have always told people it is the only room in this house I can keep clean. I really have no reason, it could have been my mistrust of the Internet when I first came in here. If you have not noticed, I have a lot of trust in this site, now.
Last names confuse me on the other site, but I believe we are friends there, so you can view the pictures if you like. If we are not, then let me know, so we can befriend each other. I think the last names are what confuses me. Don't know why.

Thanks for your comments on my page.. I am still learning the ropes here so hope this msg gets to you!
I have a siberian husky and am involved in a sledding club (yes we do sledding without snow!!!) During the summer the club sometimes does Christmas demos where the dogs bring Santa in on the "rig" (kind of like a chariot) We dress the dogs up with tinsel and sometimes reindeer ears.. they do look very cute! I shall try to upload some more photos of the dogs soon, it is much easier than trying to explain what a rig looks like!

You must be getting very excited for your daughter's upcoming wedding- the venue looks absolutely stunning!

Hi Kathy! I also found a "sticky beak" avatar for you. This just made me laugh. Please don't feel that you have to use it. I just wanted you to see it. Jane did a masterful job with the one she made for you. I have never mastered the personalization thing. I suspect it requires patience, something I do not have in abundance.

At any rate....

I am praying for Kyley to enjoy fair weather at the appointed time next Saturday. I can just imagine how wonderful it will be to be surrounded by sky and sea, not too hot, not too cool, the sun lowering in the west, and the fresh smell of the ocean in the air. I love the way Florida air smells!

Also praying for traveling mercies for all attending and for the Spirit to be active. Bless you and bless Kyley on her special day.

November 5 is correct. The ceremony is supposed to begin at 12:30 p.m. There is still so much DO IT left to our DO-IT-YOURSELF wedding. This will be a busy two weeks! Thank you for your prayers.
