Just nothing to watch on TV! So I was catching up with emails & the puzzles (jigsaw & sudoku) that I hadn't been able to do before P got home. I'd had to upload my latest photos to Flickr before 12MD & if I try to do jigsaw puzzles & upload at the same time (2 pages open!) the computer shuts down! Anyway when it got to MN I decided to do todays puzzles as well! I love going through your photos anyway!

Would have stayed on the back of my daughter's bike if I'd noticed I was going to turn the page!!!!

Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Oh eaa, that was beautifully put (old age) You know I'm going to save that as my credo (beside never going on an amusement park ride where my stomach and I part company)!

Were you just visiting WA when you took those pictures or have you ever lived in that area? As Kate pointed, out it's a LONG drive from Perth to Broome. I found it on my map once I knew where to look! Also, read about it in my Frommer's Australia which calls Broome a "hybrid of Australia & Asia"! You've given me a good gepography lesson -

Hi... Still up due to a thunderstorm scaring some of my dogs... 4:20 am.... The falcon story turned surreal. The owner of the bird, named Renegade, lived south of Atlanta, Georgia... 400 miles away. He's a man named Steve Hoddy, one of the foremost Falconers in the world, a professional animal trainer for movies and commercials, an actor himself, and founder of a group called Earthquest. Renegade was helping him put on an educational demonstration about 30 minutes from home when he decided not to return to Steve's arm. He was missing for 2 weeks, and Steve had given up hope of ever seeing his bird again. The story has gotten statewide TV and newspaper coverage here. I love a happy ending.

I went back to bed after the storm passed... about 4:45 am. I had spent the day digging in rock hard clay in 95 degree F temps (35 degree C ) working on building a goldfish pond. I have a deadline so I need to work on it no matter what the weather.
I have 12 dogs, all Collies. I started showing and breeding back in 1981, but had my first Collie years before that. I've bred many Champions, several Service Dogs for the Handicapped and a couple of Search and Rescue dogs. Besides some Heroes and great pets. I haven't shown in several years, and my last litter was 9 years ago, due to a series of serious injuries I had, and not enough free time. I am now involved with Collie Rescue, my part in the statewide organization is to provide a permanent home to the unadoptable geriatrics.

Thanks for the invite to take a cool dip anytime. My husband and I LOVE winter and my ideal life would be able to live in the snow almost year round. Guess I could move to Alaska (although they do have a summer with long days and BIG bugs!)

Oh, how sad about Scallywag. I tell you, I can handle all sorts of misfortune to humans (even babies, I'm embarassed to say) - but I completely lose it if an animal is hurt.
The Jack is a photo I pulled off of the net - thought it was so cute (butt shot!).
I have several friends with Jacks (one is named "Jack", the other, "Bailey") and really enjoy their personalities. I'm afraid the cat whose house we stay in won't allow any other animals...she's very strict that way!
We call our home "The Kingdom of Panda"!

oh, sorry, I am slow sometimes and just didn't get it, but I do now. How's the weather down there? Mum and Dad want to go visit my brother and his family soon - they live in Margate. Hope they leave it for a bit until it warms up.

Ah, my recent pic may have disappeared because I was trying to load a new one, which was compressed so much it was too small to see properly. I loaded it up, then took it off again when I realised the problem. I am going to have to download it from the camera again.

It was a group shot of my kids, my parents, sister, hubby and our "adopted" son (he says he has 4 mums), oh, and me. Hubby put the camera on a fence post and put the timer on... Eldest son was home from Sydney for a week. It was special to be together and we may have trouble all getting together again, as he will end up placed who knows where and middle child is going to be at uni in Brisbane next year. That is how it is when they grow up and move away - sob.
