Cyn, May the loving thoughts from your SA friends bring you all the comfort that I felt.
Remember now all the love that you shared with your Mother. A sad time for you all but a peaceful one for your Mother.

I just got back from a delightful drive with Buddy. I'm gonna cool off, move some hay, then harness up Challenger for a drive. Or, I may take him out tomorrow morning when it's still cool.

Cyn, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I know that it is not easy, but take some comfort knowing that your Mum passed peacefully with you and Col at her side.

Lie, Tami. Pretend he's your baby brother. You don't look old enough to have a son in High School.

Cyn and Col, Karin, Andrew and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers today. I'm pleased your mum went peacefully. I hope the thoughts of all the fun and happy times with your mother outweigh the sadness you feel now. Hugs to you all.

Hubby's shoulder op is today. I need to have him at the hospital by 11:30 so I suppose I need to shower and think about the day ahead. I'll go back and collect him tomorrow morning.
He has been practicing channelling his inner patient. "Vic, can you get me a drink" "Vic can you get me...." I think I'm going to tire of it very quickly.

Good morning everyone!
Suzy, I thought he was g.....y (we are talking about three aren't we?)
Theresa, keep up the good work. I hope your cravings are getting less each day.
Tami, enjoy school! Best wishes to Mitchell on the start of his journey through high school.
Mama, I'm glad to hear that Jazz is better. It's not fun dealing with a sick puppy when they can't tell you about their problem.

Well, I had best go. Enjoy your day all! Hugs to all in need.

Vicki, wishing your hubby great success with his surgery. Yepo, after a bit, one can get tired of get me this, bring me that. Hopefully for you, it will not last long.

Heidi, sounds like you had a great ride today. Is the weather cooler there? We had a cool dry spell, it was so nice, but will not last. Still some summer left.

I ordered fall/winter pants for me. Just like 2 pair I had last year. Knit corduroy. Easy wear, easy care. Lovely colors, a silvery blue, frosted green and plum. Hope I have winter shirts that go with.

Off to fling food. I think I have planned overs. A venison burger patty, broccoli and cheesy macaroni casserole, and fruit.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

I keep going away and coming back because I don't know what to say..

Cyn, I am so sorry. If there is a silver lining, you were able to get to the stage where you not only accepted, but welcomed an end to her suffering. Not that I think for a minute that you will miss her any less or be any less sad! Big hugs!

Julie, with the wedding over I thought we'd get to see more of you, but no! You take on babysitting duties!! Grown kids don't seem to think of their parents anymore than young kids do...

Mamacita, I hope Jazz keeps improving, the small improvement he has made so far is a good sign (I hope)

June, were you the only one who could sew? Good for you getting everything organised.. You are not going to get any time for you are you???

Vicki, healing thoughts to your hubby. I hope the inner-patient gets the independence bug. That's what Alie does, the more she needs help, the less she will accept! Three claimed to be Bi. But they all seem to these days...

Tami, here kids start high school as young as 11.5, so imagine you are here and he's still that young!

MizT,your new pants sound lovely! I hope you find a combination that you like with your existing winter shirts.. I went to buy myself some advertised shirts at an outlet store yesterday but our version didn't have any of them! I got 2 pairs of jeans instead...

Big hugs Rolanda

Happy Birthday Robert !!!

Viv, that is what Dana is going to call hers if it's a boy! Personally I think it's one of those names that asks for trouble, but since it will be a while before that is an issue maybe the cycle will have moved on..

You won't believe what I thought when I read your post Heidi...

I know, right.

That's what being around kids does to you! You've got to have just the right intonation to put the astonisment in and get away with saying that.

Yesterday I was driving Alie home from school when she got a phone call. The conversation went on for ages, long after we got home. Later Alie told us who it was and said he told her he is autistic, though I prefer has autism, and that he doesn't have many friends because he is awkward and says the wrong things. I was proud of her for talking to him for so long and not blowing him off, and hope she talks to him at school today..

I knew what you meant! The teenage expression may have been lost on you as it's impossible to write in the intonation.. basically it means I agree with you..

When I was decluttering etc, I was so sure I had more 'items' in the Pantry, which I have since replenished.
I have found them... in the Caravan!!
I have started to pack some food into the Van, Him and Me are having a mini holiday late Friday - noon Sunday.

Rolanda, no way can he be 25, you aren't old enough
Sometimes I used to have a better stocked 'pantry' in the caravan than in the house. It was great at the end of the season when we emptied out the 'van.
That reminds me of a story about a couple of our friends. They had a caravan which Tom found very heavy to lift onto the tow hitch and off again. They sold it and bought a new lighter weight van. We used to go away a lot with a club, one day his old caravan was towed onto the site we were on. A woman got out of the car, unhitched the caravan easily, pushed it into position all by herself. Tom couldn't understand why he had struggled so much with the van. It wasn't until he had to look for something in the storage lockers under the bed that he realised just how much stuff his wife was packing in there. Two of everything (as spares) washing up liquid, shampoo etc, canned and packets of food enough for the full season. He had always left it up to his wife to stock the van and never checked to see what she was packing.
