Sounds an exhausting time Gail, but sounds fun too. I don't know what you are worrying about hosting the gathering next year, you are a wonderful hostess(all the SA things you host) it's just a little sooner than expected, you still have a year to go.

CynB..... ((((( HUGS ))))) I hope your mother passes peacefully in her sleep. This has been too hard on you and the rest of the family. It's time for her to be at peace.

OMG, I just realized who was in that plane that crashed yesterday! The wife is my pharmacist, and she frequently had her son with her behind the counter. I'm SO glad that they're gonna be alright.

The latest update says that the husband is in critical condition, Tho' the news sources say the wife will be OK, she's in a coma. We've been getting phone reports from some of their family members and close friends.

A few days ago a neighbour said to me, "I quit smoking 7 years ago and to this day I still crave them." I didn't really need to hear that. Thanks for nothing, pal.

Morning all,
Theresa, I'm sure it's better though or he'd start smoking again. You are doing a fantastic job!

Cyn, still thinking of you

June, still thinking of you

Broni, hope your boat is finished soon. It seems to be stressing you out big time, and boats are supposed to be relaxing!

Heidi, an accident like that is bad news, but it's worse when you know the people involved! The article I read said the injuries were not life threatening, I am hoping for not life-style threatening too...

Theresa.... I quit smoking in '99, and I don't have the craving any more, but there are times of stress when I wish I could light up to calm me down.

We had a good time last night! The set was very simple, even the crowns were made out of cardboard. The main female role was played by a guy, very Shakespearean. Most of the actors played 3 characters each. to distinguish they put on fake moustaches for their second characters and yellow wigs for their third. To turn himself into a donkey, that actor wrapped sticky tape around his head... They sang modern songs in a few places. While we were watching I couldn't help but substitute in my head the kids who played the equivalent roles in the high school production 'In Your Dreams'.

It was fun and funny!

Gail...It sounds as if you should be exhausted..fun comes at a high price as you age doesn't it? Yet we need to do it so that we can say how great it was....lol! You will be fine next year..just whine your way through the preps and stuff and know how much everyone will rejoice because they didn't have to do it!

Suzy...You know you are right...Hubby just needs to show his continued protective feelings towards his girl child...a role that she has rejected...kinda...such is life!!! Let her learn what ADULT means!!! Teach Teacher.... life is not fair, nor easy...it is what it is...life! Good and bad, hard and easy...but never free of responsibility! And worth all that one brings to it...and no more!

Cyn...Words fail at this time...yet love prevails....Peace. ((( HUGS))))

Heidi...I add my voice to praise Robert for a compassion that we need more of...May all find the healing comes swiftly and completely!

Suzy...glad the night was fun filled...each time we allow light into our lives...we are enriched greatly.

I'm a little off...Jazz isn't feeling well and I'm not sure whats going on with him..just watching basically...and hoping that he is soon back to his usual frisky self...I can't stand the listlessness and lack of appetite from my little chow hound... ...looking forward to a rebound soon or will have to take him to the vet...not one of his favorite past times. See you all when I see you..meanwhile...take care of each other...you are V.I.P's in my life.

Good night friends. It is almost bedtime and I am ready. Did not do much today to be tired, perhaps I am just lazy?

Mama, hope Jazz is soon all recovered. It does upset us to see our fur babies not up to par.

Julie, good to see you popping in again. How is the babysitting going for you?

CynB, hugs and prayers for you, your Mom and the entire family.

Suzy, glad you enjoyed your night out. We all need a bit of time to relax and enjoy.

Theresa, I did not crave ciggies for 7 years! I told you, one day when you least expect it, you will come to the end of your day and realize you had no craving that day. Now, for a while after the cravings left, I would rarely get this sudden, short lived thought, boy I need a ciggy, but it was gone as fast as it came. Do not even think of them now or in a long long time, and I quit 9 years ago. You can make it, we know you can.

Broni, I do hope the boat is soon finished. You have worked so hard and so long on it.

Heidi, thanks for the updates on your friends from the plane crash. Do let us know how they get along.

I think I am caught up now. Sending hugs to each of you, with extras. till tomorrow.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself to a big cup. I can always make more.

Cyn, big hugs going out to you. I can only imagine what you are going through.

Theresa, stay strong. Just keep repeating, "I know I can, I know I can."

Mama, hope Jazz is better soon. It is hard when the furry ones are not well as they can't tell you what is wrong.

I have a very interesting outfit for school today. Today we get to work in classrooms all day getting ready. There is also 6th grade orientation and I was told I may have to lead a tour group. I am going to wear shorts and a t-shirt and bring a skirt that slips on easily. Good things flip-flops go with anything.

Good evening. Long day. Did a bit of long overdue housework this morning, then went to Laura's school to a sewing bee to make costumes for their concert in 4 weeks time. Lots of Mother's came to help but only one could sew. I sort of took charge of the organising!
Then took Laura to Physi, then back to her other Grandmother and her Father. then home buying a BBQ chicken on the way. sat in the chair and went to sleep. Now off to bed.

I went to the local DVLA (vehicle registrations) office, which is 22mls away, this morning to put our private plate onto the new car. Reading the back of the form it said documents could take up to 8 weeks to arrive. What it didn't say was that it would actually be done there and then and that only one document could take up to 8 weeks. We put off doing it when we first got the car because we were going on holiday, wish I had gone sooner.
Richard has now to take off the old registration plate and put our private one on to the car tonight as the insurance details have now been changed so I can't drive the car with the old reg on it.

At 6.25 pm tonight, my lovely Mum passed away peacefully. Col and I were with her, and I am grateful for that. I feel very sad but know that she is now at peace. Have spent the evening with my siblings and am soon going to try to get some sleep. Will get back here when I can but I imagine tomorrow will be a busy day. Love you all!

Having seen the fb pages, all seem to have been made aware of your mum's passing Cyn, and to them and most especially to you and Col, Heartfelt Hugs are being sent.Prayers of thanks that the final passing was peaceful and both you and Col were able to be with her at that time. I can only believe that the comfort of your presence was felt by your mum and made her transition easier. May the coming busy days and weeks allow you some time for self... Take care of each other but be sure you take care of yourself.
Walk in peace and love.

Jazz seems to be a bit better...he is interested in eating, but still is bringing it back...however, he also seems a little friskier...I'll watch just a bit more, and make an appointment for him with the vet...it can always be canceled if he improves...thanks all for the good wishes that he is soon on the mend...you are right...not being able to tell us the problem makes it hard even if its minor...I'll just keep positive thoughts..
Take care all.Peace.
