Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute. I have to get to school early for the first day of our big test and I told Mitchell I will drive him in. Hubby gets to take Dylan to school. It is his first year taking the big test. Read everything but don't remember most. See you all tomorrow.

Hello all.

I'm feeling a bit like death warmed up. I think I've caught Tami's cold - actually I caught Hubby's cold. I'm seriously thinking about skipping music practice tonight and just going to bed early. I wish I was at home now.

I think I'm totally brain-dead at the moment, so I'll catch up tomorrow.

My Mum and Aunty came by for a visit. Aunty took mum to her clinic appointment, and insisted on coming by to see me.
I had just laid down for a nap, not even 5 mins and the door bell rang.
Aunty says, 'you look shocking' and sorry she ( mum )insisted!!
They stayed for a hour, I have tried to go back down for a snooze, Too overtired now, headachey, and unable to sleep.
So here I am, up, not had my morning snooze, just taken some pain relief, will go and fossick in the kitchen for some lunch, attempt the snooze a bit later in the afternoon.

Hi, Everyone! I just dropped back in for a few minutes.

Hello, Rolanda, Heidi, Suzy, Tami the T and Victoria! I hope I didn't miss anyone since my last post!

Rolanda, I hope each day is a bit better! You're amazing to be up and about and preparing meals! Please don't over-do! It sounds like you will be VERY busy on many weekends in the next few months, so hopefully won't mind being without a caravan as you wait for the new one! Would be nice if your hubby can surprise his Mum with the wall unit while she is away! It will be nice for you and your Mum to get to Sydney for a bit. I'm glad Heidi asked you about the applemoes, as I was about to!

Theresa, I hope you sleep well and have a nice, productive day tomorrow!

Suzy, you have quite a challenge to reduce or relocate items that fit in the space of a dishwasher. Wishing you much luck with the effort!

Tami, I hope all goes well with the testing for you, your students and Mitchell! Does Dylan need to take it too?

Victoria, so sorry to hear you're also under the weather with a cold. It seems to be going around. I hope your trip home was uneventful!

Sleep well, Heidi!

And now, I must begin the preparation for sleep. We need to be up and about early tomorrow - even early to work out at the gym. The wake for a friend's father begins tomorrow afternoon - over an hour away. We need to get there right away, as we will need to get home, change clothes, have dinner, and head off to a meeting about an hour away in the opposite direction. That ends about 9:30 or so, then home & to bed to get up early the next day for our acupuncture appointments, then MIL's monthly "care" conference at her nursing home, then must take her to the hospital for a CAT scan. Doesn't look like we'll be home much in the next 2 days, so I may not see much this page. That also means we won't be getting work done on tax preparation or house cleaning. D#1's baby is about a week overdue, so she has appointments. Luckily we have cell phones for notification, if necessary. As she's many states away, she doesn't anticipate asking us to come for a while.

Oh, Rolanda, you need your nap! Hope you can find a quick something to munch on, then off to slumberland, sweetie! Take care!

I think I forgot to tell everyone Good Night from here! Sending lots of positive vibes for everyone while I'm away from the pooter!

Afternoon all!
I have found a place for almost everything that went where the dishwasher was, but not for the stuff I displaced when I decided that was the perfect spot for the dishwasher stuff.... hmmm.

Rolanda, don't you hate it when that happens? With me it's the phone. Have I said how much I hate the telephone? I hope you ended up getting a nap later. I have a different problem to the usual electrician/painter etc problem, my hubby is a designer and he keeps designing lots of things! We'd be rich if he'd had them made when he first designed them...

Julie, you are going to be exhausted! I would be anyway. Look after you....

Hi Viv! I hope Avon is keeping you very busy...

Good Afternoon All.
Think I am coming down with Tami's and Vicki's cold too, will be soooo glad when today is finished, going downhill fast. Well at least I don't work tomorrow but have an early appointment with my hairdresser, starting to look like a shaggy dog.
Take care all.
Catch you later.

Julie, in answer to your question (have only glanced since I last posted), the car has to get to the panel beaters, and will be assessed there...just have to get it there first!

Gail, while flipping stations between TV shows last night I saw the solution to your problem - the contestants on the Biggest Loser were pulling a car along! So all you have to do is recruit a couple dozen really strong people and there you go - problem solved.

Warning: The Do Not Call register is about to expire and you need to register again to prevent the calls!

Oh, and the email going around about mobile phone numbers is a scam. A friend of mine sent it to me and didn't pick up the fact that the police logo used was obviously scanned in and that it doesn't cost money to receive calls here like it does in the States.

I'm wondering why the register expires. If I suddenly want to get annoying calls during dinner, couldn't I go to the site and un-register myself? Does anyone know the logic?

Suzy... I feel the same way about telephones. I'm uncomfortable talking on them and I hate the way they constantly disturb me when I'm trying to do something (like nap). I love my answering machine, tho'. I call it the "Butler", and when the phone rings, I always say or think..."Let the Butler get it."

I too hate telephones. I think it stems from working in customer service for about 8 years and literally being the complaints department. Even now when the phone rings at home my first thought is what did I do wrong, who wants what from me. We have call display so I can be picky about answering the phone. If I don't recognize the number or name, they can leave a message.
How many are you babysitting, June? No matter how many, sleep is a must beforehand.

Just one 4 1/2 year old grand daughter. She is no problem and the Teletubbies have a free concert or something on at the local shopping centre so we will go and see that for a while. The worse thing is I am sorting photos and she will want to look at them all.

When I have to talk to the phone company for any reason they always assess my bill to see if there is a 'plan' more suited to my usage. They always say 'you don't use the phone much do you'. Nope!

The dead wagon was just here to pick up #34A. The dogs go into raptures of joy at the smells coming from it. They wish it would come daily. I wish that I'll never see it again, but that ain't gonna happen.

Hi everyone. Hope you all have been ok. Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. Here's what's been happening in my neck of the woods: had a bad reaction at the dentist, then outpatient surgery, hubby threw his back out twice, helped niece put on Christmas eve family dinner, we helped SIL move her grooming stuff (she and bus. partner split), went to 2 funerals, helped a couple of neighbors shovel out from the snow storms we had. In one day shoveled our driveway 4 times and sidewalk twice. Spent almost 2 weeks getting ice off of our gutters. Almost every night I fell into bed. Next year we'll be ready. This coming summer I'm going to make a roof rake and stuff hose with ice melt.
I'll be back later. Still trying to catch up. Reminds me, need to check e-mail. Haven't looked at it in months.

Gil can not stand Robert, and vice versa. That's why. It's very petty.

I love that scene from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"! Pure genius! Actually, it's almost that bad. They do carry something to put the not-quite-dead down. I also adore the Killer Rabbit and the Flash Wound scenes.

Good Morning all!

Reading Becky's story of the last few months makes me very certain I don't want to live where it snows.

Suzy - I've read some of the "Wire in the Blood" books. They aren't for the easily disturbed that's for sure. I've just started "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". I'm taking it easy as I've read where the first 50 pages are terrible and then it really starts. I'm taking that on board and not forming any opinions just yet.

It's just about brekky time and then I'm off to work. I feel like I'm over the worst of my cold. Funny how they make you feel so miserable.

I have a magnet on my fridge door. It says:

God grant me the patience to change the men I can,
the aim to shoot the men I can't,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Heidi, in the last couple of months I've bought 3 Monty Python DVDs. I don't know why we didn't buy them before!

Vicki, I googled that book and it sounds like a hard read with lots of people to remember. Having said that the plot sounds great!

Just stopping in for a minute to read. Day one of test is over, tomorrow ends it for me and Mitchell. Dylan has thursday also. They spread it out over more days, with less time per day for the younger kids.

I will be back later. Beastie boys are bugging me to fling some food at them. They are bottomless pits.

Rainy day in ?Alabama today, it is 4:30 pm and looks almost dark out. I saw my first flowering shrub yesterday on my walk, first sign of spring!! Flowering quince, pretty little pink blooms. After this rain I think more things will bloom out soon.

Last night was a sleepless night for me, my hip was hurting and could not get comfy. Not sure what that is about but I hope it is all better by tonight, it was not all better at nap time today. I am the same as some of you about telephone. I have enough trouble hearing many voices over phone that I do not talk much, and if phone rings while I am in that delicious place not yet asleep but not really awake, well, that is it for that nap! Eyes pop open and do not close again for hours and hours.

Back to my book, one nice thing to do on a rainy day, sit and read. Catch you all later, hugs.

That IS the perfect thing to do on a rainy day, MizT. I hope your hip behaves itself soon.

I'm off to the Cattlemen's meeting. When I told IH that I invited Robert, he was furious. And I really don't understand why he should be. It has no effect on him.

Still no rain, Sun is still Hot and Sunny, Autumn still not arrived on our fair shores!!

Not feeling extremely well today, Slept dreadfully overnight, Throat feels if though I have a cold coming on, Head is pounding, along with the throat, chest, neck......
Shower, Breakfast and back to snoozeland for moi!!
I can see why the doc said 'No Driving for at least a Week' after the operation!!!
