He lives in Florida, Tami, about 10-15 miles north of where we stayed during Fionafest. Gil tells me that Jason will be between his junior and senior years in HS.

OH, NO, Rolanda!!! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad she's still in the hospital where she can get the care she needs. Don't let your brain travel along the line of "What if she had told someone earlier?" That's past and done. Just worry about the present right now.

Hello, Heidi, Broni, Judy, Suzy, Rolanda, MizTricia, Gail, Suzanne, Tami the Troublemaker, CynB and anyone I have missed!

Judy, I hope you're right: it's nothing, it's nothing! Sending along some positive vibes just in case it's a little bit more than nothing.

I'm keeping a lot of people in my thoughts and prayers and sending Sudoku positive vibes to Rolanda's Mum and Rolanda, MizTricia's grand nephew Ian and MizTricia and hubby Al, Gail's sister, Heidi, and anyone I've missed due to CRAFTs!

Broni, I hope you are feeling better and can get caught up on sleep. How awful if chocolate gives you problems!

Heidi and MizTricia, I hope your headaches are better as well!

Hooray for another bull calf, Heidi, and hope all the remaining 5 or 6 cows all have healthy calves, especially Sassy!

Rolanda, enjoy your picnic BBQ/tea with friends. I hope the weather stays favorable!

CynB, I hope all of the krowesuoh was done easily and quickly! Now that our taxes are nearly done and in the hands of our capable accountant, I'm afraid I will need to get caught up on that dreaded word!

Heidi, I hope Gil's cousin's stepson will be of some help this summer when he visits for a month! I hope you all will enjoy each other's company!

Suzy and Gail, are you both having a quiet day and weekend?

That cousin of Gil's has a history of dropping his grandkids off for other people to take care of, without asking. He just shows up to visit and leaves without the kid. He's done that to everybody in the family, including us. I was surprised that he actually asked! Of course, he's never left a kid for more than a few days before.

Heidi, I am glad Gil's cousin asked this time. Hope the visit is enjoyable for all. Do you have anything planned for entertainment for him? I wonder if he would like riding horses with you??

Rolanda, Sad to hear your Mom is back on oxygen full time, I do hope she starts to improve now. Enjoy your outing for tea. I think remember the shore photos from when Renee was there, it was a lovely spot for a picnic.

Good maEn to you too Julie! But I think it is really good meaN for me now and almost bedtime.

I visited the K room and actually flung a bit of food for dinner. Very simple meal, tender steak in pressure cooker, smashed taters and green beans. Both of us ate sparingly, both of us have had a bit of tummy distress from it, but it was good to have real food. I do see small improvements, perhaps I am rushing it??

It would be nice if I could get to library tomorrow, I have been all week without a book. Guess that is why I keep boring all or you here??

Happy News. I can say I knew her before she was famous. One of my quilting friends has designed a line of black and white quilting cottons. She just got the first yardage of it, and posted photos. she is busy designing a quilt to showcase the collection now. You may not know, but the name of the designer is imprinted on the selvage edge, along with the name of the company. Sandi has worked long and hard to get to this point, I am most happy for her. Once the fabric is available for sale, I must get a bit, but not each of the 19 fabrics in the collection, that would be out of my price range!

bedtime meds are working, I am off to laa laa land, will check back in tomorrow. Hugs to all.

I shopped, if that's of any interest! Only for a week though, and using up the freezer meat...it sucks getting paid once a month and we have had a few added expenses of late.

I just received news about Baby Ian from my sister, and it is not good. Here is part of what she said.

"Ian took a turn for the worse yesterday. His brain started swelling and has stopped all forward progress. He is in a coma and is being kept alive with machines. We were hoping for a miracle overnight but things are not looking good for that. His parents will be allowed to finally hold their precious boy today and then he will be taken off the ventilator. After all the positive signs earlier Ian no longer has any brain activity. Family and friends are with the parents. Both are being showered with love."

Rest In Peace Baby Ian.

Evening everyone.
Mum Update.
Maaike (my sister), Peter and I went to visit this afternoon. Mum is not doing too good, she has fluid on her lungs and not enough oxygen in her blood, hence the need for the oxygen mask. Blood pressure low and heart racing; needs to rest.

Rolanda, Thoughts and prayers for your Mum. A hard time for your family. Take care of yourself as you have to fully recover before you take on extra responsibilities.
I think you, last August, said your Mum was 90. She certainly has a strong fighting spirit to help her through this illness.

RIP Baby Ian.
As June said, I am pleased that they loved him enough to let him go. As you all know, I don't believe in allowing unnecessary suffering or prolonging life when there's no realistic hope. This way they are saying Good Bye to him with dignity. It's a good thing, even though it will hurt like crazy for a while.

MizT, so sorry to hear the news about baby Ian. My thoughts are with you all. Losing a little angel has to be one of the most difficult things a parent is faced with.
The sleepover did not happen this weekend. For some reason my oldest grandie does not want to be separated from her mother at night. There is obviously something bothering her, but she's young enough that she can't verbalize it yet.
Have been reading and it doesn't take long for the pages to pile up. Enjoy the game, Heidi!

Good Evening, All!

Hi, Heidi, MizTricia, Gail, CynB, Rolanda, June, Suzy, Theresa, Broni, Tami the Troublemaker and anyone I have accidentally missed!

MizT, what sad news about Baby Ian! Luckily, the family is being realistic, which is so very difficult! Since Gail said it so well, I'll just repeat it:

Fly gently Ian
An angel not meant for this earth ♥

Prayers for the grieving family!

MizT, I hope you and hubby are feeling better. It's good that you could eat some real food, so hope you don't pay for it, if you know what I mean. Wonderful news for your friend Sandi!

Gail, I hope your sister is improving day by day! Have you heard from her today? Shopping is not fun when money is short, but I know you will find some creative ways to use this week's shopping and meat from the freezer!

Rolanda, continuing to send prayers and positive thoughts to your Mum, you and your family! I hope your Mum is more comfortable now!

Heidi, it's a shame that the Kentucky Wildcats lost their game. Hopefully they'll be back next year with another year's experience to help take them all the way!

Tami found me on Facebook tonight and we had another enjoyable "chat." She and her family had been up since 6 AM volunteering - picking tomatoes - so she was quite tired.

Speaking of tired, I'm thinking it's about time to call it a night here. Good Night, Everyone!

I hope so, too, Julie, but those egotistical players are going for the NBA draft.... most as freshmen! They actually think they're good enough to be first round draft picks. Todays game proved that they are not ready. I'm hoping that they'll stay in school a few more years, for their own sakes, both for the education and the experience. None of the starters are seniors... 3 freshmen, 1 sophomore and 1 junior. This was the youngest team in the NCAA, and it did show tonight.

Don't you wonder what they're thinking when they enter the draft so young and with little or no education or maturity? Even if they are chosen by a team, what will they do after their basketball careers end?

The last from my sister is that she is home, that was yesterday. I rang Bill last night and he had spoken to her since I had heard anything, and he filled me in. Apparently she finds it easier to use a walker instead of the crutches, but there is an incredibly 'funny' twist to this story...
Her hubby had been sort of complaining about soreness in one of his knees. He had it checked while she was in hosp and it turns out he has a Baker's Cyst behind his knee, and now he is on crutches too!!!

Quick visit only, you guys are great at sending viruses as well as vibes across the cyber waves... at least I think that's what happened.

MizT, how wonderful for your quilting friend!! Can you buy fat quarters there? Mind you, that's not cheap either! Many of them are $6.50 each, some even more here.

Gail, what a household - one on crutches and the other with a walker!! Who gets to do the vacuuming?

Heidi, I don't know anything about football except that it's always a bad idea to forget about the education thing. In Australia more and more people are getting degrees when they are older, but it's tough to go back.
