Suzy - I just love that 'I've got teenagers' avatar. I'll stick with the avatar I'm using for the time being.
BTW - to all my SA friends - I have a new email address. The other one will still be there for a few more days. Will send the new one through to you all when I get my address book organised but if you know my first & last name - it is that (lower case, no spaces) @ live.com.au. Easy peasy!

Morning all. I had a longish nap, got up and did a few things, and then had another longish nap. For anyone who was thinking I made hubby's dinner last night and put it in the fridge ... no, that's not what happened. My daughter had made spaghetti and brought leftovers and that's what he had for supper. My daughter is wonderful. Yes Suzy, they do grow out of the attitude eventually.
MizT, so sorry to hear about the baby's problems. So sad. But happy that you are on the mend.
Heidi, sorry you're sick. Take care of yourself. It doesn't help if you have to spend any length of time without electricity. MEN.
Suzy, that was scary for Ebob (and for you). Glad you found a precautionary solution.
Oh no Rolanda, hope all is well with your mom.
It's 3:45 AM and time for a coffee. I am just up so early because of my longish naps. My sleep patterns will be messed up for a few nights, but that's okay. One of the benefits of working from home is that I can grab a nap when I need one.

Suzy, D1, the art teacher was most disappointed that we did not go to the art gallery in Oslo to see Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' (your avatar).
Which reminds me, when are you going to Canberra. I hope we get a chance to get there as well.
Just talked to hubby for 25 minutes on Skype. He is at Singapore airport and will be home in the morning.

IH has been talking to the power company. They have agreed to hold off disconnecting the power IF someone drives to their office this morning and pays the bill in person. It's a 40 minute drive each way. I'm too sick to do it. IH is going to try to get his lab assistant to do it for us. I'll hear back from him soon to find out if she can.

He just called back. The power company wants cash only, no checks even. And he hasn't gotten hold of his assistant yet.
Hopefully, he is learning a lesson. He's really busy working where he is, and he's having to interrupt it to handle the problem he caused.

Good Maen everyone. Went out for a girls' day with my buddy Janet yesterday. Beautiful day yesterday, went to an outdoor mall (Gateway Center) in SLC. It was in the mid-50's and I got a slight sunburn on my face! I have very fair skin & burn easily. The problem with that is I am also allergic to most sunscreens. I found a very pretty red shawl for when it gets chilly, it was on sale PLUS an extra 25% off. Paid $13. for it!! Felt like I got a great deal. Its a bit cool so far this morning, so I plan on wearing it!

Rolanda, hugs to you and your family, hope your Mom begins to improve quickly and they find not a lot of damage from the heart attack. She is where she needs to be at the moment, they can take care of her best in hospital. Save your strength for checking on her when she gets discharged.
No news of baby Ian this morning, I am hoping that is good news. thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for him.
Heidi, feel better soon.
Suzanne, love the sound of your new red shawl. Wear it with style.

Good Morning All!
Healthy vibes to all who need it.
Rolanda, you and your mum are in my thoughts and prayers. Try not to wear yourself out before she comes home.
Gee, old people are so stubborn at times - you could just give them a good slap.
My MIL is now complaining because one of her granddaughters wants to come and stay with US. "If they're only coming to see me then they needn't bother" is what she said. Hey, What about them coming to see us!
In the next breath she is complaining that she is lonely and no-one comes to see her and they don't answer their phone when she calls. Huh, it's midday on Thursday, they all work.
I've now been nominated to take her shopping this afternoon since I have the day off work.
That's life - or at least my life.

I just got a message from my sister. Baby Ian is making improvements!
Here is a bit of the message I received.
"Ian is a cute little guy and is fighting hard. Doctors say they have
high hopes that Ian will survive this. He is producing a small amount of
urine so that is a good sign. They are keeping his sedated to reduce the
chance of brain damage. They don’t know what happened but at some time Ian was
not getting the amount of oxygen he needed. This caused all the issues. "
The hospital Ian is in has suites available for parents of babies in NICU,
So Ian's parents are able to stay and to rest right across the hall from
him. They are assured that damage to organs without oxygen can be treated or
repaired, and will heal, all but brain damage. They do not know severity of
this and will not know for some time. Family is hopeful because whenn Ian
was transferred doctors said he probably would not survive the trip and
here is it 36 hours later and he has not only survived, but improved.
Now that is a bit of better news, eh?
I shall go back to read messages now, but had to share the news soonest.

Morning all!
No news from Rolanda - hope that means good news.
Good news from MizT! Brain damage is a scary thing, but hopefully little Ian doesn't have much of that at all.
Gail, I thought that would be your choice. And I'm not surprised that someone related to you would want to tough it out alone.
And good news from Heidi - if you can call Gil paying for his forgetfulness, which reminds me... yikes! Got to pay my phone bill!
Vicki, I'm sending calm, relaxing thoughts and caring, thoughtful comments to you as it sounds like you are going to be hearing a lot of complaints this afternoon.

Tricia: Good News about Baby Ian. ♥
Zusy: Rolanda is just waking up and out of bed, only 8.30 in the morning here.
She must get her act together, shower, dress and breakfast, and wait for news (or she could ring the hospital herself).
Brother and SIL were told to ring the hospital around 9.30..
Victoria: Yep can relate to that.. woe is me, no one loves me, no one visits, no one calls, no one answers the phone...........

SIL just rang here, re her phone call to the hospital: she said the doctor still to do rounds, ring back in a couple of hours.
My Auntie (Mum's youngest sister) has offered to pick her up from hospital (when she gets discharged) and do the looking after either at Auntie's place or Mum's place.

Good Evening, Everyone!
Hi, Heidi, Suzy, Victoria, CynB, Rolanda, June, Gail, Theresa, Suzanne, MizTricia, Broni, Vicki, Tami the Troublemaker, and anyone I may have missed!
Heidi, I hope you are feeling better today and have the luxury of electricity!
Suzy, a personal alarm ought to help Ebob feel a bit safer as she walks. It's such a shame that the world has come to this - always a concern for personal safety because of the crazy people out there.
Victoria, your solution to being followed is a good one to remember! Any one of us could use it.
Rolanda, I hope all is well with your Mum! Amazing that she has had a heart attack! Sending prayers and positive vibes for her - and for you and your family! Here are some hugs for all of you! {{{{{{{{{{{{Rolanda's Mum, Rolanda & family}}}}}}}}}}}} Sending vibes for a faster-than-ever recovery from your surgery. Get as much rest as you can! Oh, BTW, you have a super auntie to offer to help out when your Mum is discharged!
Theresa, sure hope you can get your days and nights straightened out! You didn't need to tell us the dinner from hubby wasn't made by you, though it's a delight to hear what a super daughter you have to send a care package!
MizT, I hope both you and hubby are feeling much better today! Great news about baby Ian! Hopefully there is no brain damage and all other organs are functioning fully!
Heidi, it's nice that your hubby is at least making an effort to get the bill paid. I hope you will soon be feeling MUCH better!
Tami, good for you for getting grades entered. I hope you can get all the comments entered tomorrow, then can enjoy the weekend with the Beasties, your hubby, and probably a visit to your Mom and Dad! Sending along positive vibes for them as well - and hugs! {{{{{{{{Bernie & Bobbi}}}}}}}}
