Before going to bed, I just wanted to mention the weather here. We have cold front on top of us, causing rain (watering in the newly planted flowers and bushes)
and bringing the temps back to more seasonable levels. We set a record yesterday for high temperature.

Just fed ME my bedtime snack and had my meds so bedtime is not far away for me either. Today I was getting something from my closet and heart water hissing, not a good sound. I thought having house re-plumbed would put a stop to those problems, appears not. There was a pin hole in a pipe coming from hot water tank that is in one end of my closet, luckily the partition held fast and was watertite this time! An entire section of pipe will have to be replaced later but for now a small piece of automotive heater hose and a heater hose clamp is doing emergency repair, enough pressure on the leak that no water is escaping. Works for me.
Rolanda, Hope that Robert and his girl are enjoying their stay and he is not too disappointed in outcome of the contest. I think it was so good he represented W Australia, a big honor for him. How is your Mum? How are you doing yourself?
To sleepy to remember what esle I read, forgive please, I am off to bed now, hugs to all.

Evening all!
I'm feeling the corruption creeping in... I actually pulled up a few weeds today, I'd better watch out!
Gail, I laughed about your cake for breakfast - because that's exactly what I would have done!
Tami, great to hear that your Dad is doing better. It has taken a long time! Hubby played a bit of baseball today - he joined Ebob's team!! He was laughing that she will want him to get his own bag since it will now have a cup in it, then we joked that none of the guys worry about her being around when they put their cups on, just pull out their pants and shove it in - they don't even turn their backs. She locks the bathroom door so we don't accidentally walk in on her in the shower, but doesn't mind watching men put their cups on???

Heidi, glad to hear you were getting your tractor back today. That will make life easier.
Ally is dressed ready to go to a concert - her first without mum and dad. I said 'I'm going to make a sign for you to wear', hubby said 'I am 13'. Yep!
Gotta go and take her to the blasted thing - she's been ready for 2 hours...

Morning MizTricia. I just got up after a nap because I didn't sleep well last night. It's cold and rainy here with a high of 8C, and that doesn't do the arthritis any good. Rain is predicted for tomorrow as well.
Saturday is grocery day for me ... yeah, we will get to eat again!
Sorry about your plumbing problems, MizTricia. When we first bought this house 24 years ago (it was well over 100 years old at the time), we used to have plumbing problems every winter when there was a thaw. Part of the problem is that the affected pipes were in a crawl space with very little room for movement. We always needed a skinny plumber. A few years back we had the pipes removed from the crawl space and put across the ceiling in the kitchen. It looks kind of strange at first, but I think it looks kind of neat. If it bothers us in the future, we can put hollow beams across the ceiling to cover up the pipes. But at least the pipes don't freeze now. The joys of a very old home.

I was really tired, and slept through the morning.
The temperature is now down to more seasonable levels. Right now it's 57℉ / 13.9℃. It sure beats temps in the upper 80's with nearly 100% humidity.

I'm glad you heard the sound of water hissing, MizT. It could have gotten so much worse. Now you've bought some time to arrange to have it fixed at a more convenient time.

Morning all!
Well I saw a different side of this small town last night - security companies must get a lot of money here! We walked to a pub just up from the place the concert was on and there had to be 6 guys checking ID and patrolling. There were even more than that at the concert. It was incredible - we were there early, before the younguns really start to party so I guess they would get very busy later on.

Brenda, little ones can certainly wear us out. I have my grandies after school on Wednesdays for about 2 and a half hours ... when they leave I'm ready for bed!
Suzy, unless it can be done decoratively (???), I don't think I would like pipes on the outside. We didn't have much choice about the pipes along the kitchen ceiling, short of ripping the ceiling apart and we just couldn't afford it at the time. Some day ....
Groceries are gotten and put away and supper is on the go. Weekends always seem to be so busy.

Good morning all - don't mention little ones Brenda - my son had a house-warming party last night. We went to it and then brought his 3 girls home with us. The younger 2 were over-excited and overwrought and we have had a terrible time settling them and they have been fighting constantly with one another and woke up at 6am. We are exhausted.
Heidi - that pic was taken 2 years ago (the day we had the sudokumeet at Coolangatta) after Col and son-in-law broke down out in the bay. A peaceful end to an eventful day. Another trusty Nokia pic!

I figured that, Theresa. I do try to do what my body tells me it needs. If that means occasionally sleeping around the clock, so be it. If I can, I will.

Hi all. Just a quick stop by. Watching a movie with the kids. Dylan had a good game today. He didn't hit but his team won 13-8. Spent a quiet afternoon at home grading papers. Waiting for the year to wind down. Only 7 or 8 weeks to go. I have been asked to help in Dylan's class at Sunday school tomorrow. We will be making Israeli food.

I have glanced at the posts but did not respond yesterday. I was reading a book and other jobs. I did spend some time on FB getting rid of the older posts. All the farm stuff etc which my daughters play on my behalf!
Hope you catch up on all your sleep Heidi.
Suzy, these days protectors are freely accepted
with no embarrestment.I hope your Hubby enjoys his baseball.
I am finding Laura is not as tiring these days but generally leaves a mess to be cleaned up. (craft things)

Yes June - the older they get, the better they get. When I have Karin's 2 kids here, aged 11 & 9, or just Hayley (10), they are fine but it's those 2 younger ones and Emily is a very angry little girl, rejected by her mother, so sees her sisters as enemies not the best thing she could have in life! PS - listen to the serenity - their Dad has picked them up. Yee Haaa!!

MizT, Saturday night is date night, remember? Hubby and I got into the garden after he came home yesterday, and with a lot of toing and froing with kids, I didn't get the chance to pop in. Really didn't have much to say...
Today however, is a gathering of the Melbournites who catch up at least once a month. Kate, Bean, Judy and partners and kids (possibly) are having lunch today at a Yum Cha restaurant...and I should be getting my tushie into gear because I have to leave in ten minutes!
Sadly, Lizzy wont be joining us today. She left me a message this morning saying she was too unwell.
Take care Lizzy ♥

Hello, Everyone!
Oh, dear, a day or two away and multiple pages to try to catch up. Guess I'll take it one day at a time.
From page 170, Hi to Heidi, Brenda, Nola, Suzy, MizTricia, CynB, Broni, Victoria, Tami the T and Rolanda!
Heidi, I'm guessing the postal workers before processing the packages sent to you as opposed to those sent to IH!
Oh, dear, Suzy has put me to shame with all that krow in the K room!
Sorry, Everyone, I am falling asleep at the switch and need to think seriously about getting ready for bed. Good Night, All!!!
Heidi, I hope all goes well with hubby getting an apartment. Is he the type who can be happy using furniture from Goodwill or Salvation Army - or does he require new matching pieces? Does he need to fill every nook & cranny - or just get the essentials?
Nola, I hope the referencing becomes easier as you continue to do your coursework. Good luck on the exams - coming closer, I think.
Tami, I've been forgetting to ask about Bobbi and Bernie. I hope all is well with them! Please give them our love! I'm hoping your pooter makes it to the end of the school year! It's so nice that Mitchell shares his laptop with you!
MizT, you aren't kidding about the pollen. From what I hear, allergy problems have skyrocketed. Please take care of yourself! I hope you will find a way to contact the young man who helps you with your outside chores! Enjoyed your coleus clippings story!
Rolanda, I hope all went well for your young man when he presented his paper

What fun we had today. Lizzy was missed by us all, and unfortunately Judy has been under the weather of late too so she wasn't firing on all cylinders but there nonetheless.
I was very pleasantly surprised by receiving cards and gifts from all, some beautiful flowers from Kate, a sweet china mug from Bean and co and a stunning begonia in a hanging pot from Judy and Rob. We have hung it in a spot that we can see from our front door, lovely.
Kate outdid herself and made a flourless chocolate cake par excellence, AND brought cream to go with it...nom nom nom!

Evening all!
I'm finally home after picking up Ebob - and boy am I tired, but not as tired as she is. She went all Hemingway on me - she loved it and hated it, but knowing what she knows now if she had the opportunity to go again she would!! Even with blisters the size of 20 cent pieces!
Gail, what a wonderful lunch with wonderful surprises! You lucky girl you!
Liz, feel better! Sendind SA vibes!
Vicki, can't wait to see more of you - I hope you are enjoying your visitors.
Tami, that cooking adventure sounds like fun! I will join in asking what qualifies as Israeli food? A fact for the day for me!
