Hello all, before craft sets in again, I want to send out congratulations to Broni and Brenda on their newest family members and of course SA's....Continued recuperation to those who are getting better...we can really see the progress that is being made by Miz T, but for those that we don't see the same improvements, I can only hope you are feeling them.
Heidi, glad some of the budgies survived, and are gaining strength...SA vibes to them too..
.My prayers for Doc and Vici's fathers in law...these men have shown their strength and been protected by the strong women in their lives...they are blessed and most likely well aware of that fact...may peace walk with them as they negoiate this transitional point in their lives aided by love and prayers. ( no spell check...deal with thr typos so I don't lose this one too.)

No, no holes in the drainage pipe. We got the post holes moved... they only had to be moved over 4 inches, and the posts set in concrete. Tomorrow we put up the roof. Then in a week or two, we start building a new hay barn. I REALLY need more hay storage. Once that's completed, the new sun room goes up.

Hi everyone.
Lovely weather here today.
Congratulations Broni on the birth of Georgie.
June, you can have a rest in the car on your way to Port Macquarie at the weekend.
You are always such a busy lady.
Off to the hospital again shortly.
I have printed off my sudoku puzzles to take with me.
I also have my knitting so I have some nice quiet time doing that.

Hi everyone.

Broni, congratulations on your new granddaughter Georgie. I hope mum and bub are both well.

June and Viv, enjoy your get together on the weekend.

I've been really busy today finishing the months work and getting everything organised for my week off work. When I get home I can organise the packing and then we're off.

I probably won't get back so I hope you all have a fabulous week. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to all in need. Prayers and positive vibes winging their way to Viv and Heidi's FILs.

Just quickly before I go.
I sent everyone else home early as the boss left at 2:30. I then realised that I don't have my office keys in my bag. Duh!
I rang D to see if he knew where a spare key was. He said he would turn around and come back and then I found a spare key in the boss's desk. I phoned D and made him turn around and go home. Yes, I did check that the key works.

So now I'm about to switch everything off and go home.
See ya!

Broni, congratulations on your new grand daughter Georgie.
Viv, I have to drive most of the way as ken will be on a plane all night tonight. Plane gets in about 6am tomorrow.
Scrapped enough paint out of the tin to get all I needed to paint finished. Computer desks back to about a foot from the wall.
Fashion Parade went well. I bought a padded vest for the winter. I like things with no sleeves.
Just had a phone call to say my MIL is in hospital. Her leg had been aching so she had to stay home all this week. They say both hips have degenerated and she really needs a double hip replacement but she will be 96 in 5 weeks time so that is not an option. Her kidneys are not the best and a few other age problems. Her brain is still sharp but she has been saying since her mobility has decreased that she is really just waiting for her time to come.
I know her daughter will not be happy about us going away for the weekend but there really is nothing we can do and we will be back Monday!.

96! What a woman, and it is only now that she is being slowed down. Best wishes to your MIL, June, I sure hope she is as comfortable as possible. Do not fret about going away, I am sure two days is not going to amount to anything.
Safe driving, oh, and congrats on getting the painting done.

Evening all!
I wasn't supposed to be here this evening, but Ebob's plans changed so here I am.

June, I don't think your MIL would want you to change your plans for her - I can't find the words to explain what I mean. She sounds like an amazing lady and wouldn't want to change other people's plans .... oh! wish I could work out how to say what I mean!!! You'll just have to guess. Sigh.

Viv, what a positive attitude you have! Nice quiet time to do your knitting rather than something you have to do...

Vicki, that thing with the keys sooo sounds like something I would do! But by the time you read this you will have forgotten it even happened - yay!

June you are amazing. If I keep coming to this place my garden might get weeded, my walls painted... I might even, gasp, cook some more! The standard you set it too high for me!!

Went and saw MIL.She definitely would not want us to change our plans. There is conflick between her offspring! That is the one that will be critical(jealousy is a curse!)
MIL was looking quite good but she has been in pain the last couple of weeks and it was so bad this morning she could not walk. Ken can call in for a quick visit before we leave.
Suzy.I am not a very good housekeeper at all. I painted the wall after waiting 18 months and still have one to go. I also have one wall painted in the laundry because I was putting in some new cupboards. The rest of the laundry has too muck junk to get it done. Also I tossed a coin wether to paint or iron so I have an overflowing basket!

Hi everyone who is about.
About to hit the sack here.
Watched Masterchef earlier. Ethan is staying at a mate's place tonight.
Hubby hit the sack at 9pm as he is working in the morning.
Visiting FIL is not physically tiring but emotionally is a different story.
Think I might take some headache tablets before I go to bed.

Good morning topsiders. Good evening everyone else. I am here for a rare morning visit. Kids are off to school, hubby is out for the day and I don't have to be anywhere for another 30 minutes (and it is only 5 minutes from house) Sending good vibes to all who need including all the MIL's and FIL's. I will be back later. Have a great day all.

I need to get busy now. Robert will be here soon, and we need to get that roof built fairly quickly (just galvanized tin on the roof), so we can use the trailer to take my lawn mower in for repairs. The part FINALLY came in!
Meanwhile, I'll have to keep the phone near me. The doctors are meeting this morning to decide whether or not to operate on Doc. Without the surgery, he'll be dead within 2 months. Fortunately, his blood pressure has gone down to reasonable levels at the hospital, so that increases the chance for the surgery.

Hope it will be OK to do the surgery Heidi. And that it is a success.
Must go get some sleep as we have 4-5 hours driving ahead of us tomorrow. Hubbies plane looks as though it is on time but he probably will not get a lot of sleep in an 8 hour flight.

GOOD NEWS..... The Marans and pheasant eggs are starting to hatch! I was really worried about them after the power failure shut down the incubator for 4 hours. This sort of thing is why I NEED to get the generator installed.

Great news on the eggs hatching Heidi. Hope the decision made on Doc is the right one too (fingers crossed)
June, you are always so busy helping others that you do not need excuses for not getting your own work done. Hope your MIL is feeling less pain now.
Viv you take care of yourself too, your FIL needs you to care (even if he isn't aware you are there)
Hope everyone else are feeling fit or fitter than they were.
Not sure what we are doing over this long weekend, so may not be around very much.

Heidi, fingers crossed that Doc can have the op.My Dad couldn't have the heart surgery because his platelets (blood clotting agent)was too low. They didn't have time to try and correct it.
I hope your back is up to all the work you are doing.Take care.

Viv, I bet he knows you are there and feels calmer because of it. You are going to finish whatever it is your knitting!

It has been a busy week. The kids do way too much! Monday and Thursday Ally did Tae Kwon Do ready for the grading today - she will be yellow belt two tip. Tuesday was her singing lessons, Thursday night we went and listened to the teacher sing, last night she had a birthday party, tonight we have an 18th birthday party to go to and tomorrow she is going to the beach. There is a girl who is new to the school and doesn't know many people and they are going together. Apparently they are going to give her her first surfing lesson. Forgot St Johns on Tuesday night for both of them, and baseball training on Tuesday night for hubby.

Doc is getting stronger by the day. I spoke to him on the phone, and he sounded like his old self. He's entranced that they're putting a cow valve in his heart since he's an old fashioned cow doctor.
The roof is up, and it looks good. Not perfect, mind you, but good enough to keep the elements off the generator. We had a little excitement while attaching the metal. I smashed my thumb once with the hammer, Robert smashed his thumb twice, and I accidentally hit Robert on the funny bone with my hammer. He didn't think it was even slightly funny, but I laughed my head off. So did the lawn mower mechanic.
My lawn mower is now fixed, too!

Robert wasn't laughing, either. I didn't TRY to hit him. I was aiming for a roofing nail that I needed to drive through the sheet of galvanized metal. Robert moved and swung his elbow in the way. But it got funny as he kept wingeing on it, as we took the lawn mower in to the repair shop. The mechanic and his helper both know Robert well, and enjoyed the story and his whining. Everybody loves giving Robert a hard time. He can give better than he gets.

I saw a boy pulling his sister's hair the other day, actually pulled some of it out. I asked her if he could take it or only hand it out. She pulled his hair back and guess what - he quit with the mean game!
